About this house rental
We invite you to visit this beautiful vineyard house, typical of Languedoc properties, ideally located between the sea and the garrigue. A few hundred meters from the beach, and stuck to the cliffs of the classified natural site of the Massif de la Clape, you will find peace and quiet just a few minutes from the large sandy beaches of the Mediterranean coast.
The old mansion, occupied since 1871 by families of winemakers, finds a new youth in 2016. Completely renovated and redecorated, it retains its charm of yesteryear with modern comfort and all the necessary equipment.
Facing a very large garden, with a large terrace that can accommodate all guests, you can fully enjoy your vacation with family or friends, surrounded by surrounding vineyards ... The garden is private, it is equipped with sofas, a large table, barbecue, etc.
From the rooms, you have a superb view of the vineyards and even a small sea view! A dream immersion between culture, nature and leisure.
In addition to its entrance, its large garden of 1400 square meters, and its corridors and landings, the house has 8 large rooms that we invite you to discover in pictures.
Over 160 square meters of living and pleasure space decorated with care ...
It accommodates a maximum of 8 adults (including 2 in separate beds), plus 4 children.
THE KITCHEN :
In oak and Baumanière stone, it is a beautiful traditional cuisine. Spacious, it accommodates on its large extending table for 10 to 12 guests.
Perfectly equipped (double sink, gas oven, 5 gas burners, dishwasher, washing machine, classic coffee maker and Nespresso ©, combined fridge and freezer, dishes and utensils for 12 people), it's a place of warm and practical life.
THE GRAND SALON:
Overlooking the garden through its very large window, this large library lounge is equipped with two sofas and armchairs. Decorated with old paintings, it evokes the bourgeois winegrowers' houses from the beginning of the last century. It is the living room for great discussions, philosophical or not, where we will have a good time with family or friends. For music, the living room is also equipped with a Sonos speaker.
THE SMALL LIVING ROOM:
Fully paneled with unbleached raw wood, this is the television room of the house. A sofa, a chaise longue and comfortable armchairs welcome you around a multimedia flat screen. The children's or older children's room, after a good day on the beach or hiking ...
This independent living room can also be used as a playroom for children when adults chat in the large living room. When you pass the door, turn around. A big surprise awaits you !!!
THE AFRICA ROOM:
Equipped with a large 140cm bed (new bedding), this attic room has incredible charm! The “terracota” colored back wall completes the dark red of the solid mahogany wardrobe. The multicolored floor, in original cement tiles, adds a slightly crazy touch to this warm atmosphere.
A small bathroom is attached.
With the youth room, this part can be transformed into an independent suite.
THE RIVAGE ROOM:
Overlooking the sea, the vineyards and the garden, this magnificent room evokes the Mediterranean. Azure blue paintings and stained luster wood recalls the sun and the beautiful sky of the region.
Equipped with a 160cm bed (new bedding), it is also a very pleasant and comfortable room.
It is adjacent to a small bathroom with a toilet.
THE SYLVESTRE ROOM:
Also overlooking the garden, with a view of the sea, it is a colorful and cheerful room. It owes its name to the palm leaves and cycads that adorn its walls. It has a 140cm bed.
It is adjacent to a large bathroom renovated with a modern double sink cabinet.
With the Spanish bedroom, it can constitute an independent suite
THE SPANISH ROOM
This attic room is equipped with 90cm wide twin beds. These antique Spanish-inspired beds are coordinated with the tiling and the beautiful wardrobe that makes it up. High ceilings and exposed beams further enhance its old-fashioned charm.
THE YOUTH CHAMBER:
This children's room has 4 bunk beds two by two. With real wooden parquet floors, this small attic room has a large roof window.

Beautiful property in the vineyard with spacious rooms, modern amenities, and great access to the beach. Ideal for families and friends looking for a relaxing holiday.

We rented the large gite in the vineyard for over six weeks as a base for attending the 2023 RWC. As we have a large family and friends group who visited at varying times, this was an ideal location and house.
The proximity to the sea was a huge plus and the weather was great. We brought bikes which are great for exploring the area. Narbonne Plage is really a summer town and was closing down during our stay but Gruissan is a better town.
Francois was very friendly and gave us a great insight into the wine business. Be aware that the area is insect friendly so be prepared with bug spray and bite cream.
Everywhere has a few issues and here the lack of internet can be frustrating. It is truly awful. We also missed the small print about bringing your own towels and thankfully they did provide shower towels for the group as a 'special concession'. I believe that they need to look at this approach as transporting towels for a house that sleeps this many isn't sensible. TV channels were also very poor but if you are relying on TV you aren't on holidays!.
We never used the twin bed room attached to the double room as it wasn't ideal with all adults. Would work well with a young family though.
The Massif is lovely for walking but is shut for a lot of the summer due to fire risk which is a pity.
We had a great time and were sorry to leave. I could see us returning some day and there seems to be a lot of work underway in Narbonne Plage to improve the public areas.

Wonderful house - lovely place to stay
We stayed in this property for 2 weeks at the end of August / beginning of Sept.
The house is lovely - plenty of space for our family inside and outside. All the bedrooms were of a good size and the bathrooms were modern and clean. The kitchen was well equipped and great for cooking.
The barbecue outside got a lot of use and we were very pleased to have use of the bikes to cycle to the nearby shops.
The beach is a very easy walk along a quiet driveway.
We very much appreciated being practically next door to the wine shop ! The Managers of the property were very kind and helpful.
I would thoroughly recommend this property for a relaxing, family beach holiday.
