Our family of five enjoyed a fun filled week at Tony's private cove on beautiful Schoodic Lake. We canoed, swam, played endless board games that were at the camp, cooked delicious meals on the grill provided and ended each day with a relaxing camp fire that looked out over the lake. There were plenty of sleeping and hang out spots for everyone, but I enjoyed the screened in porch the most- watching the hummingbirds while drinking coffee. Thank you Tony for sharing your place with our family!

We had a great time fishing on the lake as it had it's own dock for our boat. A very quiet location at end of lake. Just make sure you do not need to zoom as there is no internet if you have any necessary zoom meetings.

A fabulous vacation week on lovely Schoodic Lake. Private location with terrific grounds (fire pit with plenty of seating, dock with swim ladder, use of a nice canoe, sweet swimming hole for the wee ones, lawn with gas grill and picnic tables, plenty of parking, etc.).
House is very comfortable with multiple “hang-out” zones and kitchen appointed with whatever you’ll need.
As noted, there is no internet available, so plan accordingly and enjoy unplugging!

This place is an excellent camp to relax, enjoy your family and the wonderful lake. Its perfect for families as there is a huge yard where we played soccer and wiffle ball with the boys. Its a very private camp as well being the last camp on the road. The cove is nice as it tends to keep the water a bit warmer than other parts of the lake. There is a shallow area where younger kids can easily get in and play. Though our boys just went jumping off the dock everyday. The lake is a spring fed lake, really clean and clear. The fire pit was great as its Maine and can get chilly at night, plus we love making smores. There's plenty of seating and two picnic tables which we had a couple of dinners at. There's outdoor games, a couple of canoes which we took a little trip around the cove in one afternoon and plenty of vests of all sizes.
I grew up in the area and familiar with Schoodic and the camps up there. Most dont have yards of this size. The camp itself was nice and had plenty of room. Basically a living room upstairs and down. Plenty of old school games and movies which we enjoyed a couple of the nights. The bedrooms have plenty of room and space. The kitchen was open and there were spices (if needed) and all the utensils, pots, pans etc as you would have in your own home. We actually had lobsters a couple of times while there. FIY order ahead because the local grocery store doesn't always have them in stock and it may take a couple of days to get there. The camp doesn't have wifi and the reception can be spoty, but we actually enjoyed that, being semi unplugged for a week.
Overall we had a great time and will definitely be back again. Tony is also absolutely great to deal with. We texted, emailed and spoke a few times prior to our trip. Any questions you have he's more than willing to answer, help and responds very quickly. It was absolutely one of the better places we've stayed at on our trips up to Maine.

A relaxing, perfect getaway
My fiancé and I had a great time staying here the beginning of June. The house was absolutely beautiful - clean, spacious, and homey. We were in awe when we arrived!
Even though it was in the 90s several days, the house stayed comfortably cool downstairs, and we used one of the many (provided) box fans in the upstairs bedroom that kept the temperature perfect at nighttime.
The king size bed in the master bedroom was soo comfy!
We spent several days on the lake fishing, on both the rowboat and canoes. We caught several fish (trout & bass). The water was crystal clear.
One night we had a nice fire in the fire pit.
The stars at night were stunning.
Even though we booked 8 days.. we had such a good time, we stayed an extra day!
Thanks Anthony, we are looking forward to our next stay .

A Wonderful Lakeside Vacation
We had never stayed in the Maine Highlands before, and this beautiful house on Schoodic Lake was the perfect introduction to life in Maine. As beautiful as the pictures on this website are, they do not do justice to how beautiful this home is. The owners made us feel welcome (as if we were part of the family). We have six children who spend most of their time in a crowded suburb, and our stay at this property was a great time for them to explore the woods and the lake, to roast marshmallows in front of the campire, to read by the bay window or on the screened-in porch, and to just be kids. Schoodic Lake is a beautiful, pristine body of water, and the little swimming cove was perfect for our 4 year old. If, like us, you have never been to this part of Maine, you need to see it for yourself. We took one day trip to Bar Harbor / Mt. Desert Island / Acadia National Park. We did not get to explore Baxter State Park and Mt. Katadihn, and we look forward to doing so on our next visit. On our way home, we made a point of driving through Dover-Foxcroft along Rt. 2 through the White Mountains of Maine. You really should rent this property, since you are getting a BEAUTIFUL home with a full eat-in kitchen right on a beautiful lake, in a part of Maine that gives you access to both mountains and sea shore.

I really enjoyed my time at Anthony’s property. The house was immaculate there’s plenty of room. And the location on the lake was perfect! I highly recommend this for anyone seeking peace and quiet and the beauty of a springfed lake

Lovely house on a big lake
The house is as listed, secluded enough from other houses. It's on a little cove so the water is shallow (5 feet) for a long way and not choppy at all.

Fantastic Stay
Awesome house, wonderful property. Very private and plenty of room, inside and out. Kids had a blast. We even rented a pontoon (saw someone else did in reviews and followed lead) from a marina over in Dover. Great spot for a quiet, relaxing getaway.

Great vacation
Great property. Beautiful waterfront. Lots of activities for kids. Poor water pressure in shower and needed to do some cleaning when we first arrived. Bathrooms and floors were dirty. Overall it was a good place and great location!

Schoodic Lake House
A very nice house at the end of a row of lake houses. It is super quiet, private, easy to access, and has many things you might like to use at the lake but don't want to bring like a canoe. The owner is easy to deal with and very responsive.

Perfect Getaway for the Family
My family loves this place. This is the second time we have been there and hope to return in the next few years. It would be an annual trip if we did not live so far away. There were six of us including my wife and four kids (age range 10-25). We enjoyed taking the canoes and the older boys enjoyed being in the water. There were plenty of wet suits and life jackets for all sizes. We stayed at the cabin most of the week and spent the days enjoying the lake, camp fires with s'mores, and games. I read one of the many books during our stay. The kitchen is very well stocked with pots, pans, silverware, and almost anything else you need. My wife made lobster rolls one day which were excellent. Each morning we had a cup of coffee on the screen porch with the magnificent view of the lake.
If you want to get away from it all and spend the time with one another rather than watching tv or another screen, this is the place!!

Peaceful,comfortable,beautiful,spacious
My wife and I were looking for an out of the way quiet vacation for us and our 1 year old little girl. We found it here! The house was clean and very spacious. It provided everything we could possibly need and then some. The outside yard was huge and had enough room for any activity you can think of. The fire pit was huge and kept us entertained almost every evening. The lake was beautiful , clean and great for swimming. We were also able to rent a pontoon boat from a neighboring lake which they delivered and picked up from the public boat launch on the lake. This was great because it enabled us to do a little more fishing and enjoy the whole lake. I would definitely like to return again. There was only 2 things I would like to see improved. The lighting outside did not work so a lantern flashlight or head lamps help and the mattresses on the beds have seen better days. All in all a great vacation home with a great dock and yard.

Great Place for a Relaxing Vacation
My family had a great time staying at this cabin right on Schoodic Lake this summer (2009). It felt like we had the lake all to ourselves because the lot is secluded at the very end of Knight's Landing Road. We had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. The dock, canoe, and life vests that are there made it safe and fun for all of my kids. The lake is clear and great for fishing. We have five children ranging in age from 9 months to 15 years old and spent most of the week just enjoying the camp and lake. No one was bored and we had plenty of room. There are board games for all ages and my wife enjoyed one of the books that was there. During the day, we opened up the windows on the front and rear of the house which created a perfect cross breeze through the house that kept you cool but not cold. The kitchen was great and fully equipped as we ate almost all of our meals there. We had lobster and steak just to name a few. We did take one day to drive to Bar Harbor and enjoy Acadia National Park. Cadillac Mountain and the Thunder Hole were the favorites but the views are magnificent. We stopped at a small restaurant in Trenton on the way for lobster rolls. All things considered, it was the most relaxing and fun vacation we have ever had. Even though the house is suitable for a large family, my wife and I can see ourselves taking a trip by ourselves and enjoying the peace and quiet.
