About this house rental

Very pretty bastidon of 48M2, comfortable and well equipped, built in dry stone in the pure local tradition, on the ground floor with shaded terrace and private garden, facing south. It is close to the swimming pool, but far enough away to avoid noise pollution. It is also away from the parking lot.

The living room is made up of a lounge / living room with fully equipped American kitchen (electric hotplates, microwave, traditional oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker). The bathroom with shower and the toilet are separate. The 2 bedrooms for 2 people have large cupboards with cupboards. The mattress and box spring in the master bedroom are new.

Equipped with a Led TV. Free WIFI.
With the new convertible sofa, the recently renovated Bastidon can accommodate up to 6 people. The bed linen is included in the service. Shower towels on request.

Located in a secure residence with parking and code opening, on a flowered plot of 3 ha, 5 mins walk from the center of Gordes. The car park accommodates cars which cannot circulate on the trails.

This place is amazing. From the beautiful outdoor garden, where we could sunbath and have evening meals and drinks - to the proximity to the town of Gordes, everything was perfect. Our host, Sophie, was wonderful with her communication. And her recommendations were spot on, particularly where to by the best baguettes. We would not hesitate in recommending this lovely place. This property was as listed. It is a very simple two-bedroom place with a nicely equipped kitchen. It was very quiet the whole time we were there and the pool was very cold, but nice. The location is perfect for those who want to travel in Provence and discover all the nice old towns…especially Gordes. The bathroom was good - new shower stall which was nice. Sophie was very communicative and answered any questions we had upon arrival and during our stay. We felt right at home as we arrived. The negatives are not bad, but if you want nice soft towels, take your own. Upon arriving and entering the place, we noticed a cat urine smell, but after opening up all the windows, it faded in a few days. There are absolutely no paper towels or tissue paper provided so that would be something to know before going so you can take your own. There is a laundry room, but one load of wash took nearly three hours to finish…we did not use the dryer, but a drying rack is provided in the home. No iron or steamer (which we always need). We would definitely return…with our own supplies we needed.

Gordes area is a great little hub for day trips in the Province area, and this VRBO unit was a great way to do that. Of course, no A/C but the provided fan helped. The unit is small and basic but as described and has what you need -- two rooms, separate beds, fridge, stove, tv and great garden oasis. It is part of a larger communal area of units, sharing a fantastic (and oh so refreshing) pool area. Sophie was very responsive and helpful with any request. One suggestion is for new guest towels, and a few more of them (perhaps a bathroom set and poolside set). Thank you for a great experience!

We absolutely loved our stay in this home and in Gordes. It is a perfect location for enjoying the village and the beautiful views and delicious restaurants. And we also loved the home and it was set up perfectly for four people. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful pool and the fun ping-pong. :) Memorable stay!

We spent a fantastic, relaxing 2 weeks in Gordes. The property is very well equipped both inside and outside. It is in an ideal location on the site, near enough to both the pool and car park, but still very peaceful. The whole site is very clean and well kept, especially the pool area. Pool never too busy, but varies throughout the day. Only one instance of sunbed shortage, and then only briefly. Sophie and Christian were very welcoming hosts and kept in regular contact to ensure all running smoothly as well as providing local information. The food provided for our first breakfast, and local produce was very welcome. The property is in an ideal location both in Gordes itself and Provence. Lots of beautiful and varied places easily accessible. Gordes is an amazing place, with fabulous views only 2 minutes away, and village itself only 10 minutes walk. Recommend canoeing in Fontaine de Vaucluse, Roussillon, Mont Ventoux, Gorges du Toulourenc river walk and, further afield, Avignon, Arles and Pont du Gard. Would definitely recommend for a family holiday and would be very happy to return!
