This place offers a maximum view for the minimalist traveler.

View and location were excellent.

Mattress was too soft for our comfort, room was a little minimal, and there was no formal entry or gathering room, because the facility is still under construction.

This inn was a lovely retreat - I hope I can return!

Beautiful, clean and very comfortable location. Fabulous view from the balcony. Great spa tub. Steep, but easy walk down to their private river access. Since I was visiting during a heatwave, I chose to enjoy a morning swim which was the highlight of my trip! The breakfast taco was great and convenient, added for a minimal fee.

just a personal preference: didn't like the saloon-style doors between the tub and sink/toilet.

It met our needs. We wanted to be within walking distance of Gruene Hall and with a river view. It is an older property in the process of being remodeled which we were aware of. Staff friendly and helpful.

Can’t wait to come back!

This property is walking distance to everything in Gruene. The rooms are cute and super clean. It is being renovated now and I can’t wait to see the new rooms! The lady at the front desk that runs the property during the day is super helpful and very nice! We will definitely be back!

Would not stay here again!

Thought breakfast was included. Misleading. Had to pay. Breakfast was pastry and a taco.

This place certainly wasn’t worth over $200!! Maybe $75 at most. Very run down. Floor was unlevel and creaked when you walked on it. View was not good! Very deceiving. Balcony seemed unstable…rotten wood.

Breakfast was ok. The location was nice.

We were not informed of the construction noise prior to booking the property. We were not informed that the only access to the room we were in was steep stairs.

Exceptional

The Inn is a perfect place to stay if visiting the city of Gruene. The Inn is clean with nice rusric decor. All rooms have a riverview and walking distance to all activities, restaurants, and shops. Breakfast is served for a small fee in the nice dining area. Staff was very helpful and welcoming.

Something Different

The price to stay amazing, the hotel historic and fun. We walked down to the river which was beautiful. The balconies are simple with the best view, the whole place rustic, and peaceful. Worth the trip.

Great staff, but significantly overpriced for what it is and overall a very disappointing stay.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff.

Overall the room and bed were not up to expectations for a more than $300 dollars a night hotel room. In particular, the bed was so uncomfortable that my wife and I both woke up with significant back pain.
