Communication was terrible was never provided with the access code was stuck at 2:30 in the morning, trying to find a new place to stay and have to pay extra due to last minute booking with a hotel an still waiting in some one to call me to get my refund

The parking was not available, no wifi password, not enough sheets/towels, missing a couch, blood on the doors, broken glass in the closet, as well as dirty tables and towels.
We tried to contact the owner but they did not respond.

We show up to the property at 7 PM from over 3 hours away and the place is completely gutted. There is nothing inside, no furniture or anything. I call the property manager and she tells me that this property was not supposed to be listed yet because it is under renovations. She then says that they have another property available, 20 minutes away. The other house they put us in was in a very bad part of town way further away from downtown. All of our uber drivers could not believe we were staying in that part of town. The second house was nice okay, but the whole ordeal was a complete disaster.

Pros:
1. Location of the property.
2. Cleaning crew. We couldn't check in on time as they were still working, as apparently, the folks who had rented the property before us had trashed the place. We appreciated their wanting to clean it thoroughly/
Cons:
1. Communication. Unable to contact management in the beginning until I got VRBO customer service involved, and even they had difficulty, and had to call me back, saying "this doesn't usually happen". There were some issues contacting them later as well. I was attempting to contact them as there was no instruction sent on how to check in.
Communication regarding late check in due to the state of the property would've also been appreciated.
2. Upkeep: The only bathroom in the property lost it's flush handle with the first flush. This was immediately reported, and the management office responded, but there was no attempt to fix it for the remainder of the visit.
3. One of the door handles came out in their hands on day #3 which was also reported to management, who ultimately responded requesting pics. I explained that there was no way to attach pics to the emails.
I have used VRBO extensively over the past 10-12 years, and this is the first time it was difficult to contact management about checking in. It was also the first time that the property management did not send anyone to fix broken things.
Though the location is great, I will not be using this property in the future.

No issues with anything. It was a good stay

Loved the location in Lakewood. The house was cozy, with great gathering space in living and dining rooms. Clean except for gross bedrooms carpeting which was stained and dirty. Needs window covering for front door for privacy from street.

The property was what was expected. However, we did see from previous review that there was a leak from the BR probably. When we showered it dripped in the stairway. We called and texted the required number. We did not receive a return call during or stay. Otherwise, good stay.

At first I thought it was nice....
but then when I checked out after 10 days I still didn't get my $200 deposit back. I sent a text asking for an update on my deposit. Eventually the lady replied, she said "it's a bad time" rather than reply with an update or even remotely try to answer my question, she just says "its a bad time" and nothing else....
after that she ignored every text message I sent and every time I called she ignored it. Because of this I had to contact vbro and report them. They sent an email to her requesting for an update on my deposit and then and only then did I received my deposit back more than 10 days after I checked out....
I tipped the cleaning crew $40 and left the place immaculate. This people are a huge disappointment... I would not trust them, they would have ripped me off had I not called vbro to file the complaint. Plus now they are currently under investigation by vbro for this type of shady activity.....
thank you don't come again 😉

We found the house to be clean and well-stocked. Beds were comfortable. Location was perfect for our needs. Having a park nearby was great for our little ones and our 2-yr-old loved watching the trains go by!

Family vacation
The house was very clean, extremely comfortable beds and pillows! Nice parking, had room for vehicle and boat. Cove's Park just across the street was a plus for our grandchildren. Nicely stocked kitchen. Having a washer and dryer was also a plus.
Would stay here again.

Clean, safe, great location
We stayed here to be close to Edgewater Yacht Club for a National sailing event. Location was perfect for that event and for the days racing was canceled. We had great access to local museums, Rockn Roll hall of fame, some great restaurants and local shopping. We would book this residence again.

First Time a Charm
It was a very nice place and perfect for our need to be close to our friends. It was perfect for a morning coffee and meal. We do recommend painting the ceilings & lubricating the hinges. Overall, a great experience!

Clean comfortable accommodations easy place to relax.
The house was well furnished, clean and comfortable. The furnishings were nice and the interior of the house is very well kept for an older house.
Would stay there again if visiting the area.

Perfect for our trip to see family.
The house worked well for our trip to see family. As of April 2022 when we stayed there a few things that other reviewers mentioned were fixed and one was not. We had no problem with the wifi. It worked perfectly and we were glad to have it. The television is a smart tv and our family had no issue figuring it out. If you sign into your own services such as Netflix or Disney+ remember to sign out, though. We watched Netflix on someone else’s account that was already signed in. We were told to park on the left side of the driveway, but when we arrived someone from the other house was parked there already, so we parked on the right side and it worked out fine. The front door locking and unlocking is still a problem. We figured out it was not our technique or the instructions… it’s just that the passcode lock sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t. Here are other pros and cons:
We had our family of 8 staying there - 5 adults, 2 teenagers and 1 young child. Even though the house sleeps 10 it was tight with our 8. Because there’s limited space for suitcases etc. and only one bathroom, the house will be best for smaller groups, but you can make it work like we did. The location was awesome for us. The trains did not bother us at all and having a wonderful playground just across the street was really nice. There are so many restaurants and stores within 5 minutes of the property and that’s very convenient. The house itself was charming. We loved all the old house features like leaded glass cabinets in the dining room and hardwood floors. We loved having a washer and dryer, too. Just be careful of not closing the basement door all the way because it sticks. One issue, however, is that the shower is leaking onto the stairwell ceiling and woodwork. It appears to be a small leak that’s been going on for awhile, There’s some water damage and I hope they get that fixed soon before there’s significant damage. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.

Overall Good, But with Definite Room for Improvement
Positives: Clean, pleasantly decorated, comfortable beds/pillows, additional bedding in closets if needed (we were there in the summer so we did not need those), plenty of air-conditioning with window units in each bedroom and one downstairs in the common area.
Negatives: The wi-fi was poor. It hardly worked at all in the bedrooms and even in the main part of the house it was VERY slow. If you needed this rental for a work trip in which you needed connectivity, this house would not work. We didn't watch the tv.
There's a train about a block away that went by once or twice per day (or night). I thought it was quaint. But if this would bother you on a vacay, this would not be the house for you.
The washing machine spin cycle did not work. We did one load of laundry while there and the clothes were sopping wet. I tried to rerun the spin cycle and it was still very wet. We ended up hand-wringing our clothes before putting them in the dryer. I told the Property Manager about it and did not get a response.
The basement (where the washing machine was) smells STRONGLY of cat pee.
There is no dishwasher. This would not be a big deal, except that there is also no dish drying rack and only one dish towel... This made washing dishes challenging.
They did not give us a bath mat for the shower/tub and we each only had a couple of towels for a 9-day stay. We could have washed them ourselves, but the once again, the washing machine was broken.
Parking/communication about parking. Our paperwork said that we could park in the left side of the driveway or on the street. I'm guessing the other nearby unit also gets told they can park in the left side of the driveway because midway through our stay another car was parking there. It would help if this was clearer. That said, there was no problem with street parking.
Overall we had a good time and it helped us to be central to the various family members we were visiting. For the price, I think it was very reasonable. I do think that the wi-fi should be way better (or just advertise it as not having wi-fi) and that it needs a new washing machine and a dish drying rack.

I rented this house for the national triathlon at Edgewater Park and this was a great location. The house was in a nice neighborhood. The house was very quaint, clean, comfortable beds. Well maintained. All the supplies needed in the kitchen. I would definitely rent again.
