Our family group of 15 had a brilliant time - the children loved the garden facilities, the safe cycling on the lane and the proximity to the beach. Local crêperies and super trampoline on the front made their stay! The grown ups enjoyed their kite surfing and everyone enjoyed body boarding in the surf. Lots of other delightful local beaches to explore as well.

There are good things about this property and other things I'd wish we'd been more aware of before we came. We were 4 families in one so 7 adults and 8 children in total and we stayed during October half term. The good things: - The sleeping arrangements we good. There were plenty of beds and bedrooms to accommodate us all. - The kitchen and dining room are fairly well equipped - The conservatory is lovely but we used it more as a back kitchen/welly room as it wasn't warm enough to eat in. - The garden is fabulous for the children and they all loved it. - The house is a lovely walk to the beach. - The beach is fabulous. - The laundry set up is great. A massive washer and dryer plus washing lines outside. Things to be aware of: - The owners live downstairs in the basement! - M Bardy was very sensitive about damage, even where there was doubt about whether it may have pre-existed or have been due principally or entirely to wear and tear (e.g. to table tennis tables which were kept outside but were plainly designed only for indoor use). Mme Bardy was post-operative when we stayed and that may have meant things were more stressful than usual for him. - Sheets, towels and tea towels are not included. The description on the Owners Direct website was incorrect at the time of our reservation, which was a very unwelcome surprise. You can hire sheets etc, but it is expensive - The end of tenancy clean is not included although you can pay extra (we were ultimately told) for the owners to sort it out. (We weren't told this at the beginning of our stay which also created unnecessary drama. The owners were clearly more used to making bookings directly, on terms which they provided in writing - we didn't see those - than through an intermediary such as Owners Direct). - The garden is shared with the other 3 houses on the property. - The house doesn't look onto the garden but you can keep an eye on the children through the downstairs bedroom window. - The house doesn't have much "after beach facilities" e.g. an outdoor hose/shower, extra space to hang beach towels/wet clothes before coming into the house. It does have 2 downstairs showers though. - There are 3 shower rooms and 2 separate WCs in total. - There is no lounge/living room, only 2 dining rooms. We did enjoy our stay but probably would not stay here again.

Lovely position not far from the beach and large enough for all our family (8 adults and 9 children). Very friendly hosts and most helpful. Luckily we had a French man with us as they did not speak English! Lovely big garden but be aware that this is shared with two other holiday houses. Beautiful blue hyrangeas everywhere.
