Flip Flops in Garden City Beach is close to many attractions while still being close to all the action in Myrtle Beach. Roomy 2400 sq. ft. 5 bdr. 4.5 ba. which has a large living room that connects with the dining and kitchen area so everyone can gather for meals or just relax and watch TV on a large flat screen LCD. Bedrooms have all brand new comfortable mattresses and new bedding. 3 King beds in Master suites , 2 Queen beds, 1 double 3 single to sleep 15 people. Kitchen has stainless steel appliances with granite counter tops and is very well stocked for all your needs. Many small appliances(Blenders, griddles, waffle maker,coffee makers plus a Keurig, toaster, Roasting pans) Stocked with extras so you will not be without. Extra wine & beverage cooler for your drinks. We have secure Wi-Fi & a house phone with free long distance. TV's/DVD in every bedroom. Flip Flops has ceiling fans in 4 bedrooms & living room. Recessed lights all with dimmers to give a cozy feel. Laundry room has a full size washer and dryer with iron and ironing board. Flip Flops is 4 houses away from beach access at the end of the street. You have a great view of ocean from the front balconies to start or end your day. You have your own 9X20 private heated pool with hot/cold shower. Pool area has 7 lounge chairs & picnic table and umbrella. Large over sized built in Charcoal grill and another picnic table for outdoor eating. Must be 27 years old to rent.Garden City beach is a family beach that is just 8 miles south of Myrtle Beach. Flip Flops has just been put into the rental market after being newly decorated and stocked to meet all your needs. It is a 1-2 minute walk to the beach or you can rent the golf cart and ride to the beach & pier for fishing. Close to Walmart & many grocery stores, restaurants,golf, and shopping malls. Market commons is just 15 minutes away. Murrells Inlet has the best restaurants that is famous for it seafood just 15 minutes away for dining out. There are numerous nightly attractions such as shows and musicals, sky wheel rides, children's amusement rides, zip lines all within close driving distance. Flip Flops has a 60 day cancellation policy. We realize there is unforeseen problems that come up, but we recommend you take out trip insurance at a small cost. . We loved the house. Big enough we can spread out some if we need to. Kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of pans and dishes. We only ate out 2 times so it worked good for our family! We stayed here in 2021 and loved it them too!

We had a great spring break at the property. There were 3 families staying at the house for a baseball tournament. The house was a great size to accomodate all three families. We were a 3 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute drive to grocery shopping. Even the baseball locations and restaurants were close. Fun week!

There was plenty of room for the 9 adults and two children. And the dining/living/kitchen area was very nice
and large enough to easily accommodate all of us. The distance to the beach was only a short walk or you could
use the golf cart which we did rent and shuttled our
beach stuff back and forth. Very good restaurants nearby with great seafood. Enjoyed our vacation very much with all our immediate family and Flip Flops was a very important part of that experience. The pool was very clean and nice. We liked the privacy of our own pool. Hope we can stay at Flip Flops sometime in the
future. Also, Cathy was a very kind and gracious host

Flip Flops was a great house for our large family vacation. Each group had their own room/bathroom and the kids loved the bunk room. The balconies were so nice to do some reading and chatting. The pool was great and we used it multiple times per day. The proximity to the beach was perfect. We could easily walk or take a couple golf cart trips to carry our things if needed.

Cathy was awesome! She gave us a ton of information and gave her advice on where to go. House is so much nicer than pictures and it is so close to the beach maybe a 2 minute walk. Highly recommend this rental and you won’t regret it! We had the best time!!!

This was a very nice location and house. The house was very nice and lived up to all of the information in the listing. We were able to make the short walk to the beach access or could take the golf cart we rented from the owner. We were fine with our location but if you wanted to be closer to the heart of Myrtle Beach and it's attractions you were about a 30 minute drive depending on traffic. We did drive there a few times but there is also enough food/shopping/and some entertainment within the Garden City area too. Overall a wonderful family vacation.

We had a fantastic week. The process from booking to checking in to communication with the owner was great. House was setup very nice, close enough to beach to walk, or use the golf cart. This was the most stocked kitchen of any rental that we have been in. Lots of room inside and out to do things together or on your own. we definitely will be back.

I had never used VRBO before and was nervous about it, but Cathy was great to work with and the property was ideal for our family of 8 adults and 7 children ranging from 2 (celebrated her birthday on the beach) to 7 years old. We rented the golf cart, which really added to the convenience, especially for exploring the area. We cooked and ate in most meals—plenty of room! The beverage coolers were a great touch too. Loved the pool! Thanks for a wonderful time!

We enjoyed every minute of our stay here. We felt at home. Plenty of room for everyone. Best stocked kitchen I have ever seen in a rental. Beds were so comfortable. Nice property that is very close to the beach. The optional golf cart was handy for my wife and the small children to use back and forth to the beach. There was ample room for our party of 7 adults and 2 small children.
I had a couple of questions after our arrival and within an hour the nearby caretaker had addressed them. That is a great feature of this property.

This property is great. It is well suited for a large family with it's 5 bedrooms. It is within walking distance to the beach. The kitchen is well stocked. Above all else, Cathy is great. Although we had a few minor issues, she resolved them and truly wants the guest to be happy. I would stay here again.

For our purposes, the house fit perfectly. The kitchen/living room together gave enough space for everyone to be together at different times. The neighborhood was safe, walking distance to the beach. The home itself is beautiful.

The home was comfortable and roomy. Walking distance to beach even with two 1 year olds. Plenty of frig space and air worked great. Beds were extremely comfortable.

DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOUSE!!! We have not ever had such a horrible experience. The AC went out upstairs on Sunday and they fixed it. It went out again on Monday and wasn't going to be fixed until Friday. Cathy expected us to stay in the house with fans without AC in July. It never got below 80 degrees inside. Fans did nothing to help. She then said she would refund our money. She went back on her word and is not refusing to refund us.
If you have already booked here, cancel and book somewhere else. Trust me. You do not want to deal with all the issues in this house.
Other issues:
1) The pool area has been very neglected. There are lots of weeds, broken pool chairs, and cracked concrete.
2) There is a pipe draining into the road in front of the house. It created a huge puddle nonstop that smelled like sewer.
3) The beach is dirty and insanely crowded.
4.) Many upstairs outlets did not work.
5.) All lights flickered on and off. This was especially noticeable after we plugged in the fans.
The biggest issue that cannot be ignored is no AC. At the beach, in July, with 5 small children. It’s not safe for babies to sleep in those temperatures and doesn’t make for a pleasant vacation.
Everyone sleeping on couches and air mattresses when we paid for 5 bedrooms is unacceptable.
We had to throw away so much food. We grabbed enough for the week and a lot of it had to go in trash. We paid for a week of golf cart use that we now can’t use.
I am flabbergasted that she said she would refund us and then refused. SHe knew Sunday the AC had a leak and was extremely old. Expecting us to stay there with temps over 80 is ridiculous. DO NOT STAY HERE.

We had a great time . The place was very clean and very nice . Easy access to beach and the gulf cart helped so much . The only problem we had was the dishwasher didn't work very well. We just changed to using paper plates . Are overall experience was great . Would recommend this place to others .

We had a wonderful stay at Flip Flops! There was plenty of room for all 12 of us. My bed was amazingly comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud. The short walk to the beach was great and easy, even with small kids. The private pool was so fun!! I would definitely recommend The Flip Flop house!

There were 12 of us including 6 adults and 6 children under 5. Short walk to beach and short drive to several groceries, WalMart, and restaurants. Pool was a life saver when the beach was too crowded. We had wonderful service from owner and all was well!

Upon arrival the house was clean and orderly and very inviting. We had ample space for every family member to move around and we never felt confined or over crowded. The front porch was a great place to sit and have our morning coffee. Road noise was very minimal making it enjoyable to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. The only downside of the porch was a large palm tree blocking the view of the ocean but could be easily rectified with a little tree trimming. The pool is s a nice feature and the grandkids enjoyed it but was unable to stay in very long due to the pool temp being set only at balmy 73 degrees. The pool man said that the owners have to give him permission to turn the heater on. This was my only downfall during our stay at the property.The location also makes for a very easy and leisurely stroll to the beach. Cathy McClure is an outstanding host and a very personable woman ensuring that the house was in order for our arrival. She made you feel comfortable and answered questions promptly. I didn’t feel as “just another” renter making everything relaxing. Thank you Cathy!! We definitely would consider staying again.Respectfully Submitted,Scott
