Great location and lots of space for our family of 4. Easy walk to the beach and a quick paddle to swim with the sharks and rays. We also paddled out to the two islands and snorkeled in between them. The kitchenette was a bit small but it was great to have a grill and outdoor dining area. Bring your own beach towels...there weren't any there and we didn't know that we should bring our own. There were also a few things broken (the light above the sink and counter, the can opener, and showerhead in one of the showers) but overall we loved it here!

Such a great location.... A short walk to a great beach with beautiful snorkeling. The hotel next door rents out little boats and is lovely. The house is a basic beach house with lots of space to spread out. The roosters are loud, neighbors close, ants, bugs, and lizards are your roommates...... All that being said, it was a great price on a beautiful beach and we would definitely stay there again.

Great Location
Ashort walk to the beach and a short paddle to see the sharks and stingray made this location perfect. We also loved how close this was to Coco Beach, a resteraunt that should not be missed. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing stay; perfect location
This property is wonderful. 3 well set up bedrooms with AC and a kitchen/living that has everything you need. Awesome porch and a 30 second walk to the beach. The two kayaks on the property that you can use are perfect, make for excellent adventures! The beach is perfect and the snorkeling right off the beach is PRIME. There is a manta ray and baby shark feeding area in the lagoon a very short kayak paddle away (close enough you could swim if you wanted to). The property is very well located with shops, restaurants, and a well stocked grocery store about a 10 min walk away. I’d recommend renting a scooter or car to be able to explore the island and do hikes, etc. This place would be perfect for families or small groups of friends. We were very happy with our stay and would love to co e back some day!

Most underrated property
My family rented this wonderful beach home for 9 nights. The house is underrated, and exceeded my expectations. Maia was prompt in her replies. Best feature: location - 3 houses from the water and a 40 second walk to the beach. Back yard has expansive view of open, grassy field with a distant ocean view, a beautiful landscapes sitting area, outdoor shower, BBQ grill, and double plus single kayak.
The house itself has a very open floor plan and it’s many windows keep it bright. All 3 bedrooms have large sliding glass doors to outside decks. Additionally, the two smaller bedrooms each have an extra window, making them feel much bigger. When the master bedroom door is fully opened, you can see the distant ocean view from the bed. Kitchen is small but efficient with a large stainless steel refrigerator, microwave, rice cooker, coffee maker, and hot pot. Water is safe to drink. There is no ice maker but ice cube trays were supplied. A previous review said a/c units in the bedroom were not strong enough. On the contrary, they were plenty powerful yet quiet too so no need to worry. There are extras like 3 life jackets (2 adult and 1 child sizes), tennis rackets/balls for the tennis court available to guests.
Cons: slower wifi than what we were used to at home. As other reviews have noted, you’ll need to bring beach towels. There are plenty of kitchen towels. A starter supply of toilet paper and paper towel is provided but will need to buy extra for the duration of your stay. You’ll also need to bring your own toiletries.
The beach is one of the best on the island and has crystal clear, warm water that is waist high 50 yards out. Make sure to bring reef shoes. When facing the ocean, there is a shallow spot to the right just north of a deeper canal for boats. It is marked by 2 empty water bottles spread apart and weighed down that act as buoys. That shallow spot is where all of the rays and sharks hang out. Another cool feature of this beach is that it situated near the only major motus (islets) in Moorea.
In summary, this is a simple home so don’t expect anything 5-star. But it is very clean and very comfortable (I’m super picky about cleanliness too). If you’re on the fence, do not hesitate. It has special and unique touches not obvious from photos or owner description. It has a charming ambiance you will fall in love with. Thank you Maia for sharing your special home with us. This was truly a slice of heaven for our family.

Good value for the cost
We enjoyed our stay at this property. The house was clean, comfortable and well located, just a few steps from a nearly private beach, in a nice part of the island (not that there's a bad part of that island). We enjoyed the two kayaks made available to us by the owner. We also enjoyed the nearby tennis court. There's a small convenience store and a few restaurants nearby. There's also a scuba center and boat-rental shop a few minutes away by car. The AC was working well and allowed us to keep the house cool when we wanted it. The property manager was helpful and always reachable. The property is not luxurious, though, and is somewhat humbly equipped, and the adjacent houses are fairly close (though privacy was never an issue). However, overall, we found it to be an excellent value in relation to how much the owner was charging (and compared to how costly Moorea resorts can be). The only small blemish in our experience was an annoying rooster which had made his nest in a tree just above the house and would start calling very early each morning. (Earplugs took care of that issue.)
We would happily rent this property again and would recommend it to others.

Great Place / Great Location / Great Owner
FIRST - if you stay here, make it a point to walk to the dock each night (about four minutes) to enjoy the sunset and evening gathering. This ritual was pretty cool and a great place to chat with fellow travelers while watching what were some of the most scenic sunsets I've ever seen.
My family and I go on an international trip each year and almost always stay in vacation rentals (as opposed to hotels). This ranks as one of our top places/experiences we've had (up there with our stay in Porto last year).
Location – the location was perfect. It’s a quick 20 yard walk to a beach that could be the envy of any post card. Swimming and kayaking to the motus (right across the lagoon) was a daily activity.
Unit – We loved the unit. It’s exactly what you would expect for a down-to-earth stay next to the beach. It’s not fancy but more than adequate, not to mention roomy. The pictures don't do it justice.
Outside – The pictures don’t do the outside justice, either. First, the deck is understated in that we used it more than the house itself. Second, the house has its own courtyard with an outdoor shower and BBQ. Pretty cool.
Communication – Communication with the owner was perfect.
Cleanliness – It was more than adequate. If you’re looking for a five-star accommodation, this is not intended to be one (which makes it great, actually).
We spent nine nights at the house – we could have stayed an entire month!
Along the lines of what other people mentioned, I would stock up on the basics prior to coming. When we arrived there were some spices, a couple days-worth of coffee, but not much else. Finally (and this is not a complaint, just a reality), when we were there (March) the AC struggled to keep up . If you want a perfectly cool place, this is probably not it.

Cute, comfortable, perfect beach vacation location
Two couples and one nine yr old child enjoyed this property immensely for our first trip to Moorea. The beach is just a few steps away, and although you lose some of that nice breeze there is a huge fan available to keep the covered outdoor porch comfortable. A/C in each bedroom allowed for quick recovery from a few heat-stroke moments. Host was easy to communicate with even though we don't know ANY French, prompt replies and easy check-in made visiting a foreign country very easy. The kitchen was supplied enough dish and cookware, Guests should come with EVERYTHING they need consumable, including hand soaps, all toiletries, trash bags, coffee filters, etc- there was dish soap and a sponge when we arrived but that may have been left from prior guests (as we left a good deal of supplies we purchased for our stay as well). Purchase from Champion Super Marche by the ferry, the nearby stores are very limited. Contact Enjoy Boat Tours Moorea and ask for Toorea- INCREDIBLE local guide that really topped off the trip for us. Bring lots of good sunscreen and your snorkel gear!

Resort-like, amazing location
We stayed in 5 rentals on 5 islands in French Polynesia, and this was the favorite for the entire family - parents and kids alike. The location is amazing - you are 100 feet from a beautiful beach, that was never crowded. It's a gated community, so you can let the kids roam and have fun on their own. The water is shallow and safe. There's good snorkeling nearby - just take take one of the 2 kayaks out to the spot. There are 2 nearby markets for supplies, and lots of restaurant options, including a food truck that parks close by with great stuff at decent prices.
For the kids, this was like summer camp. For the adults, with the kids happy, we could sleep in, read a book on the beach, take a walk, paddle, etc. We stayed 5 nights - would have been glad to stay 2 weeks.
As for the place itself, it's much bigger than pictured. The a/c in the 3 bedrooms is good and chilly.
