Unresponsive host. No A/C and none of the fans worked. Microwave is broken. Stove top and oven does not work well. House was cleaned well. But overall we still had a great time and the home is beautiful

Overall, we had a great time. The house is older and in need of a lot of repairs and maintenance to really make it reflect what is advertised in the listing. Luckily, we were in town to be out on the lake, so it wasn't a big deal, but many issues need to be addressed sooner rather than later.

Pro: The size and layout of the house was good. Cons: The place was very hot but there was a heat spell so understandable, but working fans would have helped a lot. The overhead fan in the living room did not work...IN FACT, MANY appliances did not work and we didn't find out until we got there. The first appliance we noticed not working was the washing machine. There was a note by the owner dated on 6/6 that said it didn't drain and they were working with someone to get it fixed. We arrived on 7/7 and it still hadn't been fixed. I called Vacasa the following morning at 9am to ask for additional towels since we wouldn't be able to wash anything and they contacted the local property manager and left a message to have some delivered. Nothing came that day. The next morning I called again and so they called the property mgr again who sent out a technician to fix the machine. He could do nothing and no towels arrived either. That evening I called a third time and explained it couldn't be fixed, and that we still needed towels since we were heading to the lake the following day. Never got any towels and that same night I called them for the third time, I ran the dishwasher and it leaked all over the floor. I wasn't going to use any of the few precious towels we had so had to sop it all up with paper towels which we had to buy more of. The floor in front of the dishwasher was pretty warped so it had been leaking for a while. The Microwave died that day too.

NOT RECOMMENDED! During our 20 years of travelling and experience with short term rental properties from several platforms we have never encounter a property that had all appliances were non-working. It is hard to determine if it is a lapse on the part of the property management company (Vacasa), the listing platform for the property (VRBO) or the property owner. Although the property has a good layout and at one time probably was a great property, it has been neglected and is not in good working order. Frankly, this property should not beallowed on the rental market.. The hot tub was a green disgusting smelly mess; which has been reported before. They did get a technician out and the end result was a clean and operational hot tub. However it was evident that it is not on a regular maintenance schedule. It is evident that the management of the property has been intentionally neglectful. Therefore the representation of the property is intentionally inaccurate and false. The advertising of the property is fraudulant.. VRBO has not listened to complaints and does not make sure the property management company is diligent and pro-active in it management. I wonder if the owners are aware of the condition of their property or are they unwilling to invest in the property maintenance. All appliances should be replaced. They are old and have not been replaced or maintained in a timely manner. I have many more items but you limit the space

We loved the location, the size & amenities like the hot tub, games, karaoke and sleds. But the living room fireplace didn't work, the kitchen microwave didn't work, the clothes washer did not drain and the water filter on the fridge was 'red' and said 'change'. I contacted Vacasa immediately for each issue - they said they were so sorry, promised to send someone out but no one ever came (even when they said they would 'come tomorrow'). I never received a single update unless I reached out over and over. This took our stay and pleasure with a great house down to frustrated and very unhappy. If you only care about location and size its a good rental but if you want things that work or quick fixes maybe pick a different spot.

The place needed a good cleaning. Light bulbs were out all over the house, the washer/dryer did not work, the grill on the deck was locked-up, and I called vacasa and the helpdesk said it could not be used (although it was the main reason I rented the place and bought over $100 in steaks for the family. I had to go buy a grill for $350.00 Wierd layout as well. Kitchen down and main kitchen up. I hope I pick something better next time I go with VRBO and not with Vacasa. Dr. Joe
