This property has high marks on our 5 C’s: cost (priced right), cleanliness, comfortable, close (to everything), communication with host. Highly recommend this property to anyone staying in the Newport area.

So so clean! Jack, our host/home owner, was so kind and thoughtful and gave great suggestions on things to do and places to eat. Atlantic Grill was one which I give five stars to!! My sister and I had an awesome time. Exceptional experience!!!

Jack was a gracious host and had a wonderful property. There was plenty of space for everyone to sleep. The kitchen was fully stocked and the grounds were very well maintained and beautiful. We would definitely rent again if it were pet friendly.

This was a very tranquil space. Fully met expectations and close to all Newport sites. Jack and Deb were great hosts.

"Quiet oasis minutes from beaches, vineyards and downtown Newport" describes this property perfectly! It is peaceful and the yard is absolutely beautiful - we really enjoyed our time in the backyard... walking around, sitting on the bench, listening to the birds, and playing Pictionary. Everything you may need is available here, including awesome suggestions for local/nearby excursions from the host! We hope to return to this quiet oasis some day!

The pictures on this site do not give the true impressions of this beautiful, cozy, clean and overall most relaxing home. Everything was perfect. Completely enjoyed sitting on the deck, quiet, relaxing beautiful landscape.
Jack was so accommodating, even with all the stress for me planning this trip including flight delays and my daughters broken leg.
The only thing that would have made this stay better is if we could have stayed longer.
Close to busy Newport, but not to far to enjoy the peace and quiet.
Thank you Jack and Deb for allowing us to stay in your VRBO. Hope to see you both again.

It was a pleasant stay. Lovely garden, too!

This huge space was perfect in every way, hosted by a lovely couple, Jack and Deb, who communicated with me beforehand and even welcomed us a bit early and made our entire stay so enjoyable.
The two bedrooms are great for couples, families, or extended families, or even a girlfriend-getaway.
There is plenty of room to spread out. Sliding glass doors open from the kitchen onto a huge deck and gorgeous yard with many beautiful plantings and bird houses.
Proximity to Newport, if that's your intention, is very easy.
It was very, very clean and also had everything one would need to enjoy a comfortable stay.
After leaving, Jack was kind enough to phone that he found a watch we'd inadvertently left behind, which was very much appreciated.
Thank you both. We loved our time with you and I would enthusiastically recommend your property to anyone.

We were visiting our daughter at a local school. This location was central to the island and allowed us to come and go as needed without bothering the host. We will stay here again. Very clean and easy layout.

Pictures don’t due justice. What an amazing property. Privacy when you want and in the middle of everything. Highly recommend. Hosts were very kind also
5.0 / 5.0
It was spacious, beautifully decorated, and close to everything we wanted to see. The hosts were available without being intrusive, full of good information, and treated us like friends. As someone else mentioned, the air conditioners were very loud, but we came on a record hot week. The private yard was a bonus. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the deck watching hummingbirds in the flowers.
4.0 / 5.0
Although the property was lovely, the location was surprisingly central, and the convenience was top notch, I am not used to staying in a property where the owner also lived. I felt like we were being watched most of the time. Also, after making the initial reservation, I spoke with the host to add on a day, which he said would be no problem...however, at the time of check in I was told that it would not be possible...so there I was without a place to stay for our last night. I had to scramble to find another place, on Labor Day weekend, during URI move in weekend. It was chaos.

My family & I just spent a week at this home. It was as described in the listing. Close by to our favorite beach and close to everything Newport has to offer. The home had everything we needed for a relaxing & peaceful getaway. Jack & Deb were great hosts! Thanks for everything!! We hope to be back!

Very satisfied with our recent trip to Rhode Island. Place we stayed at was exceptional - clean, comfortable and cozy. Many thanks to owners Jack and Deb for their hard work and useful advises . Highly recommending.

Our family of 4 had a nice stay at this place for a week. The location was perfect to visit family in Newport and visit beaches in Middletown and Narragansett. The weather was hot and humid for our summer stay and the unit had an old house musty smell some guests might be sensitive to. There are three window AC units that do cool the whole place down but they were very loud for sleeping. Jack and Deb were super nice and helpful and around while we were there, not intrusive.

If you’re looking for a relaxing and affordable stay in the Newport area, this is it. Jack and Deb are incredibly gracious hosts, always willing to lend a hand. The guest house is clean and comfortable, and our kids loved playing hide-and-seek in the beautiful, spacious backyard. Location is perfect - minutes away from downtown Newport and close to all kinds of activities and attractions. HIGHLY recommended!

Property was clean and had all necessary amenities. Parking was tight (advertised two parking spots but not sure there is space for that). Would also be advantageous to know the VRBO is attached to the owners house so there is a privacy impact there. Overall happy with the stay and the host.

It was clean, spacious, comfortable, convenient to Newport, but in a quiet neighborhood. The hosts were friendly & helpful, with good suggestions. They live next door but were not at all intrusive. The yard & gardens rival some of the gardens we saw in Newport, on a smaller scale. The house was furnished with lovely antique furniture and other pieces, and this was the best equipped kitchen we have ever had at a VRBO. It was convenient to local food stores, shopping and other necessities.

We had the perfect Memorial Day weekend at Jack and Deb's rental. My husband and I stayed here along with our infant and my parents. The backyard is big, beautiful and meticulously kept. We were equipped to eat well (pancakes and bacon on the griddle and tuna steak dinner on the gill) out on the deck. Jack and Deb were quick with recommendations and accommodating of our needs. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a great stay at this lovely property. It was the perfect place to stay for a wedding weekend. The property is just a 10 minute drive to all the Newport attractions and is surrounded by many great places to eat. Jack was a great host. I would love to stay here again while visiting Newport.

Our stay was very relaxing. The hosts were extremely welcoming and showed us true hospitality. The home is very well arranged and comfortable. The picture on the web sight does not do justice to the very well appointed back yard. It is fabulous!! Go..stay..enjoy!

This was our first trip to Newport, RI, having a family reunion. Upon arrival, the owners Jack and Debbie greeted us and gave us a quick summary of great places to visit and some history around their home. We felt welcomed immediately. The backyard is spectacular! The house was perfect for the 4-5 of us - it felt like “home”. All the amenities we needed were there. The home was super clean! We’re definitely booking again if we have the opportunity to visit our son in the summer months!

This was the perfect VRBO for our navy graduation visit to Newport. The host is very accommodating and the home was a perfect place to relax in between our sightseeing and graduation. We could not have picked a better place to stay.

We loved Jack and Deb’s place! Super comfortable, near everything but not on top of anything: beaches, the Tennis Hall of Fame, the nature preserve, great restaurants. We will definitely be back!

My family and I stayed here for a week, it was perfect! The house was immaculate and had everything we needed. The kids loved that the closet was full of games! Our hosts were just really good people all around, super easy to talk to and full of helpful information on the surrounding areas. They live right next door to the rental and were always available yet very respectful of our privacy. The property is centrally located on the island and just a few minutes drive to several beaches, hiking trails, nature preserves, and downtown Newport, with fantastic food everywhere. We really had a great time in Rhode Island and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We had a great time at this property. It was clean, well kept, simultaneously close to shops / restaurants / beaches and yet far away from traffic and noise. Jack and his family are excellent hosts; be sure to check out every attraction and restaurant that he suggests. Thanks again! 10/10 highly recommend

Excellent central location to all of the East Bay and Aquidneck Island
Wonderful hosts who care about their property and welcome you to their community. Bathroom has great water pressure and a nice high shower head, great for us tall folks! Back deck overlooks a beautiful yard and gardens. We grilled dinner twice and enjoyed the island breeze. Overall a super peaceful location central to everything.

Great place to stay
We had a really comfortable stay. We are a family of 5 and stayed for 3 nights. It was nice to have extra space and a full kitchen. The only thing that we might improve is the cot provided had a thinner mattress and wasn’t quite as thick as an actual bed so the kids took turns on it, but very minor. Very nice hosts and we felt very comfortable, even able to do laundry which was very helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

All we needed
The property was well situated for our activities in the area. All the features we needed to keep our grandchildren and entertain family members was available during our stay. The hosts, Jack & Deb were wonderful. They gave us many suggestions for sightseeing and dining. A very pleasant experience all around.
