About this house rental
What could best be described as an industrial revolution in holiday home design, The Shed has a style all its own, and features the rare ability to comfortably accommodate the largest family or group of couples. Set in a quiet idyllic bush setting, only 400m from the heart of town, The Shed redefines the traditional holiday home. Seven bedrooms flank the kitchen, dining and living area which give new meaning to the term open plan. Multiple deck areas across two levels afford guests the perfect opportunity to come together or be apart. Three of the seven bedrooms include full ensuite bathrooms, one in particular complete with free standing bath. The main living space offers two separate lounge areas, galley kitchen & dining space, and features a double sided wood fire. Industrial lighting, polished concrete floors, spiral staircase and sculptured steel window shades, all add to this modern masterpiece.

A quirky place to stay. We had a great time,
Great for a large groups. Contacted the rental agent regarding a couple of things and they sorted them out before closing on the Friday.

Beautiful Property in Great Location
Loved our stay at the Shed. Some things like making sure the towels and utensils are clean could have been better, although I understand it probably hasn't been used much over the past 2 years due to restrictions. Overall loved our stay, the place is beautiful and great for families.

Great location
House looks great but could do with a little TLC and attention (split systems not working in main area, bath towels need replacing, kitchen glassware/crockery/cookware limited). Beautiful surrounds. Will be great when the outside areas a completed.

Family wedding getaway
Great property for a large group with plenty of space.
The house was not very clean on our arrival and is certainly showing signs of wear.
The bedroom door situation is very difficult as it is impossible to close the doors from the inside with no handle.
One of the air conditioners leaked water all down the wall and onto the floor after only 10 minutes of operation.
With a large group it would have been much easier to have multiple sets of keys.
Overall the space and location are great but the house requires some maintenance.

Great Family Holiday
We booked the shed for a family get away and thoroughly enjoyed the property. Highly recommend for a group of adults that want to holiday together and have their own space too.

Missing something
The inside of this property is most certainly different to other accomodation we have stayed at and although we (husband and I) liked the aesthetics our overseas visitors were very unimpressed. Upon arrival we found the place riddled with spiders. I live in the Dandenong Ranges so we're used to spiders but this was a joke!! They were everywhere, on the the walls, ceiling, inside cupboards, under beds, every corner.. I had a spider crawl up my neck whilst I slept then my daughter had one on her face the following night while she slept. Despite our efforts to continually kill spiders more and more appeared. I think the place needs to be properly fumigated. The front of the property looks like a building site..a tiny deck (no tables or chairs to sit) no garden at all and a poorly maintained asphalt driveway which is shared with a neighbouring property. Lots of cars coming and going, but the neighbours were very nice people. (Its just not very private for them or us). The TV remotes did not work. We had no vacuum cleaner to clean the floors (or spiders) so the sand build up had to be swept daily. Aside from other little bibs and bobs the beds were AMAZING to sleep in, the kitchen and laundry appliances all worked well and the kitchen was well equipped with lots of crockery, cutlery and cooking pots and pans. The Property ad should mention there are nil fences to keep dogs safe as this accomodation is located on a busy road so we had to CONSTANTLY watch out for our dogs. There is no backyard for the dogs to be locked up in either so they can only be at the front of the house. This should be mentioned in the STAYZ ad...I know it sounds like one big whinge but for what we paid $$$$$$, it just didn't have that holiday feel. We just couldn't relax with our dogs being out the front....someone had to constantly watch them. We love Lorne and go every year, this year we paid more than previous years and I feel we got less value for money at "THE SHED"

Great house , but needs some simple maintenance
Great house , great location. Was disappointed there was NO working lights in the main upstairs en-suite. Also one spare toilet roll per toilet for fourteen people for four days was not sufficient. The fire place was a nice touch but three pieces of wood didn’t last long for the middle of winter . Overall we enjoyed our stay , and it was a great space for a large group .

Weekend winter getaway
We really enjoyed this house as a place to stay as a group of adults. We could all be together , cooking, reading, sitting by the fire and playing pool. The open fire was perfect! The beds were very comfortable too. Thanks - highly recommend.

Great house, big and spacious! Location was okay as well. Had a wonderful time there, will surely return again.

I'm Disappointed !
The house is lovely, but i have to say there were a few things that interfered with our stay.
1. The light globe wasn't working in one room
2. The washing machine wasn't working
3. There was animal hair all over the place
We called the agent regarding these things. Her name was Liz, she came to have a look, however there was no resolve to these issues and we just put up with them for the weekend. We managed to get the washing machine working on the last day after we checked the fuse box.
Also one bedroom had a really bad odour coming from the ensuite which made it nasty to tolerate.
We were offered no compensation at all!

Great spot for a weekend with old friends
A wonderful location and spacious area for six old school friends with their partners to have a weekend away. Set far enough back from the main road to be nice and secluded, but also close enough to easily access town. The beds were comfortable and the living space nice and open so we could relax, play board games and enjoy each others company. Key collection and drop off was easy and we'd be happy to recommend.

Beds and bedding; were very comfortable (had a great sleep).
Perfect number of bathrooms/ensuits to number of bedrooms.
Plenty of off street parking. really enjoy this house - would definitely return!

Fantastic space
Enormous space and great value for a large group. Amenities are amazing (5 bathrooms, fireplace and a pool table). Location is good too. Secluded feeling yet not too far from the main strip (a vigorous walk, Id say). Probably our only qualm was that a few minor things seemed a little cheaply finished. I mean, it is clearly a property designed for large social gatherings as opposed to being lived in by a family, but this mentality showed when the light fittings along the kitchen cabinetry popped off whilst someone was cooking, which turned into a 4 person effort to hold the fluorescent tubes in place before we realised that we could affix them without tools. But fantastic space for an entertaining weekend away. And top notch communication from Liz

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful home. Thanks for the great communication and easy check-in / check-out. Would not hesitate to stay here again and recommend to my family and friends.

Good for large groups.
The property was well equipped to fit multiple families as it has many bathrooms and bedrooms. The living area was great. The upstairs bedrooms do not have any handles on the doors which was inconvenient for privacy, especially one of the bedrooms where one of the doors does not actually close properly. There were quite a few spiderwebs on the windows and in the bathrooms which was disappointing. The cleanliness of the kitchen area where the cups/glasses were was below average.

We had a great weekend at this house. Lots of people but weren't on top of each other. Even fed the kookaburras by hand. A few more chairs so that we could sit around the table together would have been good
