About this house rental
This newly renovated Victorian home has all the amenities small groups and families may want for their stay in the Portland area. Sitting centrally in Gladstone you are just two blocks from the Charles Ames Memorial City Park on the Clackamas River, and moments from the freeway you can be anywhere in the South Portland region within minutes.
It is rare to find a home built in the gorgeous Victorian style but with an open floor plan and a large primary bedroom with en-suite bathroom on the main level. You will find ample room to relax and enjoy company with each other. Every single piece of furniture and décor is new throughout the home. The goal was to design a home with the travel amenities of a hotel but all the special unique décor, style and comforts of a home you want to be in.
The main level also has a full bath that sits just off the main living, dining, and kitchen area. This includes a new 55" flat screen with integrated Roku to use your Netflix, Hulu, or even Comcast apps. The primary bedroom in back opens up onto a deck which while being convenient also allows in tons of natural light.
Upstairs are the other three bedrooms and the third full bathroom. The bed type breakdown for these bedrooms is one king, one queen, and twin trundle bed which allow eight people to sleep comfortably in beds. The living room couch pulls out in a matter of seconds to create a large sleeping surface easily for two people.
While the home has a suburban feel, it is only a 1-3 block walk to a number of restaurants, bars, pizza, Indian, teriyaki, a little market, and even the Gladstone Library and City Hall. Deux Fen is the nearest winery and it is about a mile away, while Oswego Hills Vineyard is about four miles and is a great place for the entire family. This is also one of the closest properties to downtown Portland without being in a restricted area. Between the convenience of freeway access, the number of amenities close by, and the surrounding beauty of the Clackamas and Willamette Rivers you can't go wrong with your stay here.
We truly want you to enjoy your time and make some wonderful memories with your group. That being said, this is not a party or gathering house for groups that can't control their noise levels. We have relationships with all of our neighbors who have our direct contact information. Quiet time is 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Please stay indoors during this time, keep the windows and doors closed and keep the volume to an enjoyable but reasonable level. If it is loud enough to be heard outside in these conditions, it is too loud for you to remain our guest. This property includes a noise alert monitoring system in order to ensure that neighborhood noise levels are respected. Again, please realize we want every group to enjoy their time, laugh, have fun and make memories. These devices are only to ensure noise levels don't reach a threshold that bothers our neighbors. Also, please note there is no electronic video surveillance monitoring pools or spas, or on the interior of the house.
PET FRIENDLY: **There is a $100 pet fee per pet with a maximum of $300 (3 pets). We stayed here with our 3 grown kids and their SO's and our little dog and it was perfect!
Good fenced yard. The house was clean and the living area was fairly spacious. Good value for what would have otherwise required 4 hotel rooms.
4.7
Decorated very nice. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of linens and towels. Nice table to gather around. Quiet neighborhood. Close to Clackamas River and park with walking trails.
4.7
Comfortable beds, great location

Thanks for quick responses on any questions or concerns!

The check in process was seamless and the rooms/spaces were as advertised. We had a couple minor issues but the hosts were quick to respond and address them.

We enjoyed our stay. The location was great. Close to the park and river for dog walking and easy access to the freeway. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked.
The only issue (as noted by previous guests) is the smell of Marijuana in the house. It's strongest when the furnace is running.
If that could be resolved, it would be the perfect place.

The house accomadated us quite well. It was not as clean as they would like you to believe; cobweb, dust bunnies, dirt around the floors, windows, and doors.
They need to add a step off the back deck. It has a big step down and for older people or disabled it is hazardous. I had a spill out the back door to the deck and got some good bruises. It could have been worse.
4.7
Wonderful kitchen, dining room and TV area.
Plenty of extra rooms and bathrooms.

Place was amazing. A/C in all rooms made for great sleep. Kitchen had everything. I will stay here every time we visit Oregon.
4.7
The home was beautiful and in a great neighborhood. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking and eating implements. The beds were a dream! Loved having three full baths.
It's an old house and had moisture issues but the smell wasn't noticeable after being in the house for a few minutes. Lots of stairs and steps and a tight square spiral going upstairs. Would have preferred to have another room with two twins instead of so many queens.
Was in the area for a wedding and the home was a great place to rest and regroup between the activities.

We very much enjoyed having our family of elderly parents and 3 adult siblings stay in Gladstone. It is close and convenient to everything, a nice neighborhood to walk in the morning, has a large dining table to share meals, and a deck on which to start and end the day. Easy check-in and out. We have shared any suggestions with the very impressive management company.:)

We stayed at the Victorian during our daughter’s college graduation. It’s a great location. The house is pretty awesome and the beds were so comfortable. Kitchen was equipped with everything that we needed for family dinners.
The ONLY thing that I think would have been nice is for something to have been done about the smell of marijuana that smacked you as you walked into the house. We tried opening windows and air fresheners, but the smell never fully left. We were informed that the “team would investigate “ both times that we reached out but didn’t hear back. We had a great time, That is seriously the only issue.

This home worked rather well for the six of us who stayed there. It was very easy to eat and visit around the large dining room table. Very nice accommodations!
4.7
Nice house in great location that allowed us easy access to downtown and other destinations we visited during our stay.

Beautiful home very spacious. We had Family in the area come visit daily and they all found the house was a great place and area to stay. The beds were all very comfortable.

Kitchen full of great cookware and spices. Comfy beds too. Lots of nearby places to eat.

Non conventional renters brought there on on business. Visiting specialty engineers from Florida working on the upgrades to the nearby Abernethy Bridge. This place made our out of town business so much better (like a million times better) than hotel stays. The house was convenient to the bridge site and greatly equipped. After long working hours on the construction site it was only a short drive “home”. It allowed us to cook, relax, and recharge before the next demanding work day. Beds were comfortable and loved the kitchen and dining area. House is very well maintained and clean. Maybe we can come sometime again to enjoy the area and not have to work. There were some interesting restaurants and pubs that would like to visit. Glad to have the opportunity to contribute to the construction of the bridge upgrades and make our mark on the local landscape.

Very handy to shopping, gas stations and freeway access, but in peaceful neighborhood with light traffic. We were at the end of a long trip up from California and could relax for a few days until the last push to airport, which was just a 20 minute trip early in the morning.

Beautiful home!
The house was the perfect size for my family to come visit. It was my graduation weekend and the managers were helpful and accommodating! Plenty of bedding, the house was cute, and close to my house which made the location really convenient. would absolutely stay again!

We enjoyed the stay. Kitchen had everything we needed.

We will be back!
I had a pleasant stay here with my friends. The house has a beautiful old feel to the outside with some stunning roses. The inside is really nice, clean, and homely. You can tell that they keep the place stocked with everything that you would need at a vacation home.
All of the rooms have a very nice comfortable bed in them. I would 100% recommend this place to everyone and I will definitely be booking this place the next time I come to Portland.

I don't like to leave bad reviews. In fact, quite the opposite. I have stayed in dozens of rented homes and condos over the years and left many five-star reviews. This is my first one-star.
But let me start with the positives.
The beds were decent. The property management team (iTrip Vacations Northwest) was responsive, if lacking in a level of acceptable response.
I booked this home EIGHT months ago to use as a home base for a family wedding, my daughter's. I wanted a lovely home where we could be together. The pictures looked great. (Don't they? I wish I could upload some.) I researched, read the reviews. While I was a bit skeptical of the mention of the pervasive marijuana smell (how bad could it be?), we booked.
This home, while appearing lovely in the photos, has been poorly maintained and even more poorly cleaned. Yes, the property managers said "the cleaning should be nothing less than spotless," and offered to come in AFTER we had arrived and clean, we didn't have time for that, this was a wedding weekend.
And the cleaning and maintenance needed honestly would have taken days. (Could they possibly have done a walkthrough before we arrived, knowing it was a very special family event?)
Exterior: The porches, both front and back, have peeling paint and flimsy railings. The vegetation is overgrown and shoddily mown. I believe the marijuana smell comes from the basement, accessed from the exterior. The smell permeates the house and the air purifiers and Febreze inserts do nothing to dispel it. It was nauseating.
Interior: The entire house is infested with ants. Not just a couple in the kitchen. They are in the sheets in the upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms, covering the interior of the dishwasher, everywhere. I only live 2 hours north of this house. My house does not have ants right now. Nor does my brother's house 10 minutes away. We don't leave food open and out to draw bugs. This place needs to be fumigated. The ceilings in the main bathroom are damaged and rotting from mold. The paint is peeling. There was what appeared to be toothpaste drool down the side of the vanity. I had hoped to take a relaxing bath. Not happening. The tub was not clean enough, to put it mildly. The caulk around it was dingy and disgusting. The kitchen sink, far from shiny, had a sponge that was gross.
But the wedding was beautiful.

We stayed here during a trip to scout out Northern Oregon, in anticipation of moving. This house is centrally located, quick drive to Portland and all of the suburbs. Great for kids, as there are 3 playgrounds within walking distance. It's also very close to the Clackamas River walking path. House was clean, and well stocked. I had a bit of issue with my allergies, but it's a pet friendly house, so that can be expected. Nothing a little Zyrtec couldn't help. I was a little concerned about the noise monitor, as I have a special needs preschooler who can get pretty loud when upset. However, it wasn't an issue, so I suspect it takes more than a tantrum to set it off. There are stairs, but our 3 yr old did well with them. Any younger and I'd want to have baby gates. We were very happy with our stay, and would highly recommend this home.
