We had three generations staying in the property and we were all very happy. The teens really enjoyed the access both to the town centre and forest walks away from the adults! The small pool got much more use that we anticipated. Chateau is amazing but some lovely local visits such as Barbizon. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

A spacious, relaxing and welcoming space, this home was a great base for a two week family holiday. Five big bedrooms plus a TV room then a sitting room, study / music room, kitchen, terrace, yard for basketball, pool and garden all on different levels and sufficiently separate to allow for our four children (16, 13, 11 and 8) to spread out if they wanted to, we had many days just relaxing at home. The kitchen is really well equipped, easy to cook in and has a large table with a great uninterrupted view across allotments to the church. Supermarket and bakery a ten minute walk. Lots of hikes in the amazing forest a walk or a short drive away. Town, chateau, park, cafes, restaurants etc a twenty minute walk (including the market three times a week!). And a fifteen minute walk to the train station which puts you in Paris forty minutes later for €5 😀. Céline was friendly and quick to respond to all queries, and really wanted to make sure we had a good time! Thank you.

What a wonderful property and a fab location. Celine the owner is so lovely and helpful and the house has everything you need and more. The pool is amazing and lovely vegetables are grown on the property which you can pick. Would highly recommend this location and can’t wait to return.

This is the most gorgeous and well-thought out house, set over three floors plus a basement. Although we arrived a little early the friendly and welcoming owner was happy for us to use the facilities. The property is set in a quiet street on the outskirts of the town, but a flat 20min walk to the city centre. Our three children particularly loved the pool, climbing wall and basketball hoop, there was also table football in one room. The top floor of the house has two double bedrooms, a single bedroom, separate WC and a beautiful large bathroom with twin sinks and a large tub with amazing views. The next floor down has two double bedrooms, two bathrooms (both with showers) and a cinema room, which was completed to a high standard but was unused by us as we loved the outside space so much. The ground floor has a modern well-equipped kitchen-through dining room, a music room and a sitting room (again largely unused by us). This level has a raised decking area with outside table and chairs with gorgeous views over the fruit trees below and across to the church. The garden includes plenty of tomatoes and other veg, which we were invited to pick and use; a decent sized family pool, a treehouse and climbing wall. We loved visiting a nearby lake beach and exploring the forest, especially by horse and cart. The castle grounds are incredible and a must for any visit. Everything at the house was clean and well presented. Our week-long stay was not long enough for us to do everything we had hoped for.....so we'll be heading back next summer. Claire, Adrian and family.

Thanks to you, Celine and Eric, for inviting us into your beautifull french home. All we could think of for a family vacation (8 adults and a child) was there - fully equipped kitchen including an american freezer (ice cubes - it was very hot at the time we were there) - three floors, lots of space and house cleaning twice a week - not to be forgotten: the tiny pool in the garden was really appreciated by all and was the relaxation place for both adults and the child. Everything worked well.

Beautiful and comfortable house. Fully equipped. 30-40 min walk to Insead, 20-25 min walk to heart of town/castle. 15 min walk to nearest supermarket. Car or bike necessary.

This beautiful property which very successfully marries traditional French style with modern day living, is within easy walking distance of the centre of Fontainebleau. We took the train into Paris twice during our stay and the journey was very straightforward and stress free. The pool is a real bonus but unfortunately the weather wasn't too kind to us. The only downside that I can think of is that I have come away with a severe case of house envy!!!
