Cute, cozy art deco style home. Master bed so comfortable but the double under the bunk, not so much. If the couch is a Kick Klack we couldn't figure it out...but got in late. Thanks for the coffee.

Andrew canceled my stay the day of my reservation with no sort of compensation for the extra costs I had to book a new place same day. I was notified at 3 am and there was no other communication or reply’s from him. Very disappointing, I do not recommend booking with him.

They cancelled on us last minute and didn’t return any of the funds including the fx change. Please get this dealt with asap and quit sending how was your stay emails as we didn’t stay there.

The living room in this townhouse was very roomy for our family of five. I loved the decor. Our kids enjoyed playing in the big front yard. The bathroom was tiny, but we were only there one night. We followed the owner’s directions for trying to keep the house cool, but by bedtime it was still miserably hot. It was difficult to fall asleep, even with the small fans in each room. I’d suggest bringing your own fans for the bedrooms if you’re visiting in the warmer months.

We stayed during the end of July so we could spend the week at silverwood without kids. It was a perfect distance away. We also spent a couple evenings at the beach close to the house. The location is perfect. Can hear a bit of noise from the joining side but we were out all day most of the days. Also close to the natural food markets and Costco.

Property was very nice and host accommodations were great. Close by the 4th of July festivities, walking distance to restaurants and downtown.

Great location, close to downtown and the beach. Andrew is so kind and great with communicating.
House is cute. It’s small and basic inside,
it was nice to be able to laundry while staying at the house.
With the summer being exceptionally hot it was hard to keep the place cool even with all the windows and coverings closed. We made do, but would recommend more fans to keep the air moving as the only air conditioner is a window unit in the living room.,

The location for this duplex was great for our trip. The yard was very nice, plenty of grass for our little dog to run around.

We didn't stay at this property. At the last minute, this property wasn't available. But, the host arranged for another property for my friend and me. The place we stayed was in a great location and the property we stayed in was very clean and comfortable. Loved this trip to CDA! I'll be back.

It worked well for us. I was glad it was pet friendly and that it had a backyard to sit and eat in. they had lots of bikes and kayaks to use which was great!

This property was not advertised as a duplex when I reserved it months ago, so it was a shock to pull up to see you are "on the left side". There does look like there are some improvements going on with landscaping and painting.
First impression, it smelled like chemicals. It was so stuffy inside even when greeted with the air conditioner on. The rooms are tiny....and the furniture was college apartment/thrift store find looking. We found that our sheets did not appear clean, but we did find other sheets to change them. I did contact the owner and he responded quickly saying he hires professional cleaners that also clean million dollar homes...well, they forgot to actually clean this duplex. The floor turned all of our feet and/or socks black, and the vents were so full of dust. The bathroom floor mats looked like they were just shook out and put back down. There was hair stuck to the walls of the shower and wall behind the door. The shower was plugged and retained water when you showered and that was after you struggled to turn the water on. The faucet was so loose that you had to hold tight and pull straight out to turn the water on. The kitchen was stocked with basics, but are so worn and used. Also, we were shocked to discover that the windows were not locked when we put the fans in the second night. We went a whole day with our stuff in the duplex with unlocked windows.
There is no way it should be advertised that 7 adults could fit or sleep in this duplex comfortably. I have teenage kids and it was a struggle. We ended up leaving a day early.

We didn’t realize the house was a duplex. The unit we stayed in changed from the original rental agreement. The owner gave us the wrong code and didn’t respond until I called an texted both numbers provided. The house was surrounded by carpenter ants with some inside. One was crawling on my husband while he slept. The house couldn’t be secured with the AC on so we were forced to turn it off each time we left. The furniture was like a college apartment and very uncomfortable. The kitchenware looked like it was from a thrift shop. The washer and dryer were very grimy. The soap dish in the tub had old soap stuck to it, the towels had crusty substance that didn’t come off, and the shower curtain liner was covered with mildew causing the bathroom to have a horrible smell. They only provided 1.5 rolls of toilet paper and one roll of paper towels for a week stay. The listing says it can sleep 7, but that requires someone to sleep on a very hard futon. The backyard was very uninviting. There was an old boat and about 15+ bikes taking up two of the parking spaces. No comfortable place to sit outside. The BBQ was old and rusted so much that the flame wasn’t distributed evenly making it difficult to use. They said kayaks would be available, but we had to request them several times, finally showing up on the 3rd day. And weren’t comfortable using them so ended up renting in town. The inside had some renovation but mostly low quality finishes. The location was okay in relation to downtown.

We stayed at this property (left side) with 3 children and 2 adults. The kitchen had the basics (hand wash dishes, adequate cleaning supplies). The futon in the living room is more college level than premier (picture 12 is accurate). Not all of the pictures posted are of the left side of the property (right side pictures are the first ones posted and looks like the more updated side). I would say 3 kids/2 adults is about the max for left side, small round dining room table can sit 4. Also to clarify the bed arrangement, the one bedroom has a queen, the living room has the queen size futon, and the 2nd bedroom has a bunkbed with a full below and twin above. The house exterior has recently been painted blue (kids like it) and the landscaping is a work in progress at the time we were there. We didn't find games/video library mentioned. As another review noted, it is a split house with relatively thin walls (could hear conversations from other side, but similar to being in an older hotel). On the positive side, it is a nice location, affordable, quiet neighborhood, clean, good wifi and air conditioning unit definitely cooled the property.

While the price was ok, it was not suited for 6 Adults. I am sure a family with small kids would have been great! But its small and not much room to spread out for 6 adults. The bikes we planned on using were old and unusable and we never saw a Kyak. The unit next to us was rented to College vacationers that partied hard till early morning 2 of our nights, other than that the property is very quiet and cute.
Side Note: The blanket that was out for the futon smelled old and unwashed and no sheets for it, so plan to bring your own.

Property was good. Would have been nicer to have more comfortable living room furniture but other than that it was good. Would stay again if in the area. Thank you.

First impression re the interior: Small but cute, retro décor befitting the architectureWas cleanFurniture was good but would be nice to have had a small dresser & mirror in the bunk room, a night stand on both sides of the bed in single bedroom & there were no hangers in the closet – we left a few for the next renterAC units in bedrooms worked great with bonus of white noise to soften the traffic soundsBeds were comfortable & adequate bedding was providedExtra towels & soaps were provided however we stayed a week & were provided less than half of a roll of toilet paper & no extra rolls were in the cabinet, if not included, renters should be advised.Sheer curtains in Livingroom no privacy at night. Good amount of kitchen basics like coffee maker & utensils – chip clips would be a great addition, also we had to buy coffee filters as none were providedDoor for the single bedroom does not latch closed and the threshold was not attached to the floorTV worked fine, access to local news would have been nice – if already available, maybe instructions. WiFi worked greatFirst Impression re the exterior: DisappointedNo parking provided except on streetMust step over in progress landscape project to enter. Back alley camper/boat storage & old rustic picnic table, made using outside space undesirable & unsafe for childrenBottom line, it’s a fine budget option & we are grateful to have found it when our vacation dates changed at the last minute but next year, we will likely not rebook this property if another, more finished property with better amenities like off street parking and a comfortable, inviting outdoor space is available.

Close to downtown, everything was as pictured, plenty of backyard space. Not the most glamorous neighborhood but we are from the area and already knew that. House was clean and everything was straightforward.
