The Two Palms is a short 5 minute walk up to the charming PALISADES VILLAGE which has many shops, restaurants and a luxury movie theaters to experience during your stay. Just across the street from the home is the entrance to the PALISADES RECREATION CENTER ~ a 117 acre park with 8 public tennis courts , 4 basketball courts (2 indoor & 2 outdoor), 4 baseball diamonds, large children’s playground, bocce ball courts and beautiful park grounds PLUS the 46 acre PORTRERO CANYON PARK with its manicured walking trails which meander down the canyon with scenic ocean views and connecting paths to the Palisades bluff park overlooking Will Rogers State Beach. If you prefer a mountain wooded hike with shade, the TEMESCAL CANYON PARK hiking trail loop begins 1 mile from the home. Beach more your vibe? It is a 1 mile walk downhill to the WILL ROGERS STATE BEACH. It is fun to take a stroll up to town to peruse the fresh produce and baked goods at the Sunday farmers market. A note to prospective guests:
We offer a LIMITED number of short term rentals each year by aligning our travel with guest stays. Please inquire with your prospective dates for booking. As the TWO PALMS is our family home we rent only to responsible guests who want the best of the Palisades in a QUIET, quality environment. Accordingly, when inquiring about our home rental we request that prospective guests PLEASE provide a description of themselves and their travel party such as where you will be visiting from, profession and ages of any children. If you plan to bring your dog note that pet must be FULLY house trained (sorry ~ no cats due to owner allergy).

A word about the City of Los Angeles Home-Sharing Ordinance:
The Two Palms is registered with the city of Los Angeles in compliance with all local regulations and requirements for home sharing. Per city ordinance, for stays of 30 DAYS OR LESS there is a 14% transient occupancy tax charged by VRBO and remitted directly to the city of Los Angeles. For stays of 31 days or more there is NO occupancy tax charged as these do not fall under the ‘short term rental’ classification. Please note that the property owner does NOT receive monies for occupancy tax or security deposit which are held and disbursed by VRBO.
Per Los Angeles City Home Sharing Code, Two Palms guests will be given a “Code of Conduct” which will include information on safety and security requirements as well as good-neighbor principles.
The Home-Sharing Ordinance (CF 14-1635-S2), adopted by the Los Angeles City Council in 2019, restricts short-term rentals in Los Angeles County to 'owner-occupied primary residences only.' This measure aims to address the rental housing shortage, meaning second homes cannot be legally rented for short-term stays in Los Angeles.
