We were very pleased with this property. We had 12 people and the dog and this house fit us all comfortably. The kids enjoyed the game room and the access to the lake was amazing. We just walked across the street and we were in the beautiful lake. I’m recommending this place to my friends and family.

The property has an excellent location and easy access. It is very family and dog friendly. Loved being able to use the Lake recreation area and its amenities. My husband and I tried SUP for the first time! We loved eating out on the deck with its view of the lake. We really enjoyed our stay. The only negative is the mattresses were not very comfortable. However, we would definitely book it again.

Everything was perfect. Clean easy beautiful location. No notes! We probably talked about how amazing this place was way more than we should have while we were there. :) We will for sure be coming back!

Rain the entire stay, so we couldn’t enjoy lake. Dog hair was on beds.Maggot in coffee maker. Pool table missing ball .
But location made up for it.

Wonderful Stay
We had a wonderful time, and Casa Cazadores was a perfect setting for our family. Although we spent the majority of our time at the cabin my brother owns nearby, we love breakfast on the deck and some pool games in the garage. We do not have pets, but it appears the home is very pet friendly inside and out. We had a great time, from start to finish.

Property will great entertainment but water temp at shower not goos
Something wrong with the hot/cold shower control. Same for both bathrooms. Either too hot or too cold just a tiny turn on the knobs. Same feedback for friends staying with us. Other than that it’s was fun place. We had a good time at pool table, darts and hot tub. Provided lots of board games. Saw some dead carpet beetles in the room we stayed at.

Excellent place
Really nice place with so much to keep us busy. Played pool, used the hot-tub, paddled on the lake, games galore, and a very nicely stocked kitchen. We'd definitely go back.

Great property. As listed. A neighboring rental (I assume) could not read the “curfew” info, as we heard them until 2:00a.m. 2 of our 3 nights

Lovely home
This house is a gem. Pics don't do it justice. So spacious for our family, there were 8 of us. Pool table ball return is broken in two corners, so balls drop to floor. Lovely kitchen. We can't wait to stay in town again. The experience as a whole was amazing.

This place was great for a family. It was across the street from the private lake and in a more private area away from the main area. We had a great time and will definately return

Family 1st Annual Snow Trip
We all enjoyed ourselves immensely! The location of the house was awesome. It was fully loaded with everything you would need. Everyone had somewhere to sleep, not the greatest mattresses but we pulled threw. 2 bathrooms had plumbing issues but overall we loved our stay & would definitely consider the same house for 2nd annual family snow trip.

Loved our stay in Arnold
From start to finish, we loved this property and the location. Everything was spot on, we enjoyed the living space with new TV and WIFI connectivity, the kitchen appliances and kitchenware, the outside BBQ, and the game room with the darts and pool. The heating was working very well with thermostat, and it had been set upon arrival, which is nice. Note that heating was set up in the game room (converted garage), which could get really cold, so having that extra heating unit was great. We had fun on the lake using the property canoes and reached out to the outdoor playground on the other side of the lake. The surrounding area was great with nice walk and trails around, and also very close to the markets store and stunning areas like the Big Trees State Park or Mercer Caverns. One last note about the bedrooms, perhaps not to everyone taste, but the beds were quite noisy, yet still comfy (which matters most to us). Strongly recommend this cabin.

Fun House
It was a fun house that had a cool game room. The kids loved the pool table and being right next to the water. The best part was being close to Big Trees State Park. Great little spot.

Casual mountain home right near a lake (great locale)
This is a nice location and casual, clean home, great for a couple of families. My main beef was that the beds were pretty miserable (and I’m not super picky about mattresses) and they could get some slightly better linens (felt like sleeping in paper - and I swear I’m not a linen snob, either!). The rooms have a lot of bunks and beds so it feels a bit crowded. And some rooms are cold. You’d never want to enter the game room in winter. It’s an icebox. Overall impression is it would be more fun and comfortable in the summer when you can take advantage of the lake and when the temp makes it easier to take advantage of the full space.

Great location, spacious home, and great private lake!
The house was clean, comfortable and the location was as great and as close to the lake as we hoped and anticipated based on the description. We enjoyed our day trips to Murphy’s, spending evenings at the lake, and we even caught a handful of fish (catch and release only at the private lake which was fine for us). The kitchen is well stocked with staples such as spices, etc which made cooking dinners and breakfasts here easy. The only issue we ran into with the home is one of the rooms, the one to the right of the front door, is significantly colder than the rest of the house. I do not believe there is central heating in that room, and we could not figure out how to work the gas fireplace in the room (unless it does not work?) so at night that room got very cold for the family who stayed in there, who had two small children using those bunk beds. However, in defense of the owners and the home we did not contact anyone to inquire about the furnace in there so it may work—we just doubled up on blankets, had kids crawling in bed with their parents, and that was all fine for us also. We would definitely stay at this home again and recommend it to others.

Location! Perfect size, we loved it!
Our family of 14, including our beloved golden retriever had plenty of space, we particularly loved the canoe, kayaks and paddle boards! Having the lake steps away has us hooked on Casa Cazadores ❤️

Fun family location and home!
Much bigger than expected. Great family experience. Loved having kayaks and canoes available. Loved being a stone throw to the Lake!
Didn’t like getting charged for hot tub and bedding. Those are only complaints. Great house!

Wonderful home!
Eleven of us stayed for our annual spring girls trip. Many of the girls had never been to Arnold and we couldn’t have been happier with the house. The location was perfect, right by a lake and close to our activities in Big Trees State Park and Moaning Caverns. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. The spa was spacious and relaxing. The table sat about 10 comfortably, with a bench nook to hold a few extra people. The very quiet neighborhood made for a tranquil stay. The TV system allowed us to watch cable, DVDs and YouTube. We loved using the canoes and paddle boards and watching the stars with the sound of the little waterfall nearby. We had a nice dinner at Sarafina’s and stopped at Giant Burger before heading out—they were delicious! I would definitely recommend this property!

Location, location, location.
We loved the location, close to everything but in the woods. The lake across the street was a bonus. Plenty of room for a large family. We were able to cook Thanksgiving Dinner for 13 easily.

Great cabin for the whole family!!!
My family stayed at the house for five nights while we did some skiing at Bear Valley. We had a great experience! There were six adults and six kids. Plenty of room to spread out, very cozy and close to the store. Easy to find. Great hot tub and game room. Definitely recommend it!!

Great Cabin - Love the Area - Bear Valley is great for kids!
We came up with our two daughters (ages 6 and 8) so they can learn to ski. Bear Valley is such a great place for kids to learn. We had three blue bird days. After a long day of skiing we came home to this great cabin. It really had everything we needed. Great kitchen so we could cook our meals. The hot tub was exceptional. The girls had a great time in the game room with the pool table, television and couches. With the cabin being right across the street from the lake and dam it made it great to take our 1.5 year old black lab out to play.

Casa Cazadores
We stayed over Spring Break. I brought my kids, grandkids and dogs. We had a great time. I really like the way the cabin is layed out. The property was better than was listed on line. It was clean and well maintained. We had one problem with the hot tub and that was because someone turned the temp up to high. So I called Cedar Creek Realty and they sent someone over ASAP! That's so cool. Last time I rented a cabin up at Lake Tahoe (not at all associated with the cabin or company) and had problems with the hot tub, the owner responded, oh well. Not here, fast! I would recommend this cabin. We had planned to stay again in the summer to take advantage of the lake being DIRECTLY ACROSS THE STREET, but there are no openings when we want to go. So bummed about that. Didn't get to try Serefina's, an Italian restaurant just up highway 4. Everyone says it is delicious but just never got the chance. Big Trees State Park is just up the road. We did the North Grove trail, it was amazing. Wi fi was very good and all the TV's worked (cable TV). There are no street lamps so when it is dark, it is very dark. The better to see all the stars! We've been to Tahoe twice, Twain Harte and now here, this one is my favorite!
Thanks for letting us stay,
Janice

Fun for the Whole Family
We had booked this place months in advance for a Spring Break week of skiing and snowboarding. Well, mother nature had other plans for us... record low snowfall and drought. We did go to Bear Valley for one day and it was about as bad as expected. So we turned this into a "summer" trip and this place delivered. The lake that is 40 yards from the home is BEAUTIFUL. We spent our days kayaking, SUPing, and canoeing. The kids spent every chance they had in the lake. (We brought wetsuits for the kids, water temp ~ 52, air temp ~70). There are great hikes you can do from the house and drive to nearby attractions like Moaning Caverns, which I'd recommend.
The house itself did not look like much when driving up to it, if I have to be honest. However once you step inside, it is great! The kitchen is spacious enough and very well appointed for a rental. The game room is great with a billiard table and dart board. The living room is nicely done and stocked with board games. In fact we found a new family favorite that we now need to buy (Apples to Apples). The outdoor decks are nicely laid out with a dining set in one part and a hot tub in the other. The hot tub was a great way to end the day, every day. We are already talking about going back.

Wonderful, relaxing vacation!
We just got back from our trip to Arnold and could not have been happier! The house is great, very clean and well equipped with lots of space and things to do for big and little kids.
We went at the end of January and had somebody open the house for us which was nice as it was nice and warm already and we could move in right away.
We got the best of both worlds - we got to hang out at the house and enjoy the warm, sunny weather and we also drove up to Bear Valley where there was snow. The kids (3 and 5 years old) got to experience snow for the first time and the bunny slopes were perfect for my older one to get her first skiing in. We just purchased a ticket for her for $5 for the entire day and my husband just hung out with her and taught her a little bit how to ski.
We also did some sledding at the end of Highway 4 and across from the Village where we rented inner tubes, which was a little pricy ($12 per tube I believe) but totally worth it as the kids wanted speed!
The cute town of Murphy is only 15 minutes away and is a mecca for wine lovers. Great restaurants and little boutiques and you can purchase a picnic (and a bottle of wine) and go to the cutest park behind the Murhpy hotel and sit by the river and enjoy your lunch while the kids play on the playground.
Back at the house, we hopped in the brand new hot tub underneath the giant trees, enjoyed the view of the lake and cooked family dinners. The kitchen is really functional and well stocked and the very nice grocery store is less than a mile way. The dining table seats at least 12 people and is great for entertaining.
There are toys for the big kids (pool, darts etc) and little ones, too (a corner with all kinds of books, puzzles, board games etc).
The perfect destination for a relaxing get-away. We are already planning another stay for the summer to see the caverns and do some horsebackriding in Murphy's.

Wonderful Lake/ski house
Perfect place to invite our entire family (11) to spend the New Year's holidays. As Grandparents it was fun to see the little grandkids enjoy all the games and the slightly bigger ones play pool and use the dart board. All ages loved the Jacuzzi. Everyone had great sleeping arrangements (private room for us grandparents and single older son) and nice rooms for sons and daughters with their 2 children each. The kitchen was well equipped as we did a lot of cooking. wifi worked well and there were at least two TV sets. We went to Bear Valley almost every day for skiing. One day we took the short trip to Mercer Caverns and ate lunch in Murphy's at the historic hotel. A great time was had by all in this comfortable and lovely house.

Great family cabin for summer or winter!
We stayed at the cabin in June 2013 when it was first available and again this January with our big 12 person family including 4 kids, 6 adults, and 2 grandparents. We felt comfortably accommodated with the sleeping arrangements, huge dining table, and multiple spaces for hanging out (2 decks, big kitchen with counter and stools, dining room, family room, and game room equipped with pool table!). The lake is right across the street from the cabin, with opportunities in the summer for kayaking, swimming, and relaxing on the beach or swimming docs. Check out the Rim Train for a nice hike winter or summer within walking distance of the house, or take the short 10 minute drive up to Calaveras Big Trees State Park to check out the gorgeous giant sequoias. Bear Valley Ski Resort is an easy drive up the mountain for a day of fun in the snow. Even with only 3 lifts open and limited snow this January, we had a great time. We love this cabin and this area; we will definitely be back!

Wonderful Home in Arnold is a Great Family Vacation!
Our family of 5 spent the July 4th weekend at this rental house in Arnold and we absolutely loved it. The community that the house is located in has a wonderful club house that provides fishing equipment, paddle boats, and nearly everything you can think of to use in a lake. The neighbors that live there year round, as well as the other vacationers, all enjoyed the amenities of the club house, and were very friendly. In addition there is a great walk, easy enough for kids too, around the lake, and a play structure that is really fun. The lake itself was small enough for my kids (ages 9 and 7) to swim across, with an adult, but also large enough to paddle board and float around. There is a permanent dock to fish and jump from, as well as floating docks to jump from. And a great swimming area/beach in front of the club house to relax at all day. So fun. Our 4 year old also played in the shallow, beach area of the lake near the club house and had a great time. The house provides canoes and a paddle board, and is located right across the street from a launch site so it was very easy to access both the lake, and club house with a quick trip across the lake. The house itself is spacious and has plenty of room to sleep multiple families/kids. The kitchen is large, and there is a bbq out back that we used, and worked great. Also nice patio seating outside with a lake view, in addition to a large table inside, along with a nearby bar, to sit many guests inside for dinner too. Tons of games at the cabin that were really fun to use in the evening, and great tv/music system. The garage was really fun for the kids-pool table and finished floor, with couches and pads to sleep-they loved it! The cabin is also located near the actual town of Arnold with small stores, a largish grocery store, and cute, quaint dining. We also did easy trips (all within an hour of the cabin) to Natural Bridges county park with limestone caves, the Calaveras Big Trees (a great family hike too!) and Pyramid Lake which was just beautiful. There are so many things to do that are close to the cabin that it makes for a wonderful place to stay for a while so you can enjoy the actual lake there, as well as the beautiful area surrounding Arnold. We are so excited to go back!
