The home was even better the second stay.
This is our second, but not our last stay at this property. We will be renting it again in 2024. The home was clean and even nicer this year with new 5 inch wide wooden plank flooring and new appliances, including a new huge capacity Maytag washing machine. Being on the shuttle line inside the resort was more than convenient. Highly recommend this home. 5 Star
Arrival date: 1/14/23
This home was a home away from our homes. The house was big enough for our 19 family members. The younger kids loved the hot tub and area pool. The location was perfect to so many restaurants, hiking and shopping. It was a wonderful time for our family. If we ever do this again I would rent this home again.

I can’t say enough about the house. It was warm and welcoming.. little nooks that you could always find some solitude. We were 16 adults college age and a baby and an 8 yr old. We were never bumping into each other. The kitchen was very large and more than adequately equipped.

Bjs mountain lodge was exactly what our family needed for our yearly reunion. There were 18 of us staying in the house, with room for visitors during meal times. We made great use of the large kitchen and patio and enjoyed the proximity to Vail and Avon.

Fabulous place to stay! The shuttle is so easy and quick to use. Highly recommend this house to large groups! The home has a huge bedroom with lots of beds that we were able to put all the kids into for the week.
Paul said: ""This was a great place for 18 family members , from 2 yo to 64 . Lots of room , beautiful deck , grill & hot tub . The bedrooms are spacious , and super-comfortable . The whole place is got so many different areas to hang out in , front garden , pool table rumpus room , dining area are all great , but we were able to take advantage of the huge deck most of the waking hours . Everything we wanted for a busy , geographically scattered family , I recommend it ."
Delesa said: "Great house. Stayed here for a week in the summer with 17 people in our extended family. There was room for everyone. Everything was great. Property was clean and well-maintained, the owner was very helpful and responsive but never intrusive. We enjoyed the nearby amusement park, riding ATVs, white water rafting and the pickleball court, which is adjacent to the property. Would definitely recommend this property either for summer or winter stays."
Jan said: "Great upscale home, with professional management who assisted with all of our vacation needs, both during our stay, as well as during the reservation process. The home was clean and organized, with a terrific layout and accommodations for large groups. The huge deck with scenic view was a really special gathering place for meals, games, and conversations. The deck has a private hot tub, new deck furniture, and a top of the line Weber grill. The scores of trees and landscaping around the home provided a private enclave with a comfortable distance from neighbors. We enjoyed both gourmet and value oriented restaurants nearby, the convenience to nearby shopping, and the close proximity to golf, horse back riding, outdoor and indoor concerts, river rafting, biking, hiking, and the tennis and pickle ball courts, which are adjacent to the home. Considering how close the home is to the ski lift, we look forward to a return to the home for the convenience of the free ski shuttle directly from the home to the lift this winter."

We had a group of 20 people and the house was perfect! Lots of space and very clean. We loved how close it was to the ski lift. The hot tub and huge deck were awesome! The owner/lessor was very easy to work with and very responsive. We would love to stay at this house again.
Marsha said: "Perfect for Large Families & Groups"
Peggy and Mark said: "I wholeheartedly recommend this property for large family gatherings or other large group trips. 16 of us visited in late September for a golf trip - and we were all perfectly comfortable. Large family room, large rec room (with pool table), hot tub, private deck/yard, plenty of bathrooms, and beds for everyone (even a couple of others to spare). Perfect location near the ski slopes, golf courses, fishing, hiking, biking, and all the other wonderful things you can do in the Colorado mountains year-round. Gated community, close to groceries, restaurants, bars, coffee and other services. The house itself is very large, clean, modern, and well-appointed. Lots of beds for the whole group. Owner/manager was responsive and great to work with too."
My Response
The nice comments included by the coordinator of this large group are greatly appreciated, as their stay at the home was one of the first experiences by this group at a home. The coordinator is entrusted with making an appropriate home choice to satisfy the ideals of many personalities in a large group, so every attempt is made by the home owner/manager during the reservation process to address all concerns of a prospective guest. In this case, in addition to the comfort of the accommodations for their large group, the coordinator for this group of guests wanted to confirm that the home had sufficient privacy on the huge deck for the hot tub, so that the group could relax after long days on the many golf courses nearby. In addition, the group wanted convenience to shopping and to the amenities in the area. They also wanted a nice new grill on the deck, and a regulation sized pool table in the den. This group felt that all of their expectations were met. The group left the home in good condition, and is welcome to come back to the home at any time in the future.

Dennis said: Thank you. Only 4 of our group of 27 persons are at your home today, as the rest of the group went on a hike to the falls. This is a great home!
Ginny said: "Hi, I wanted you to know that your house worked out beautifully for us. The tennis courts right next to the home were wonderful. And thanks for letting us know about the breakfast on July 4th - it was delicious. We enjoyed the fireworks at Avon on July 3rd and at Beaver Creek on the 4th. Went hiking, biking, rafting, swimming, etc. All in all it was a wonderful week for all of us. So thanks for renting your home to us. Enjoy the rest of your summer." Ginny

The property was well equipped and clean. The location is very convenient to Edwards shopping and multiple recreational options. If you enjoy the outdoors and want the Colorado experience this is a perfect place. If you want to eat out or dine locally or just chill , this is where you should be. The home gets a 5 star and the owner is a premier host who gets another 5 star rating.

Comfortable and spacious for large families or groups. The whole process was easy for us. We loved the home and highly recommended it.

Pretty good. Suggestions:
Too much clutter in the rooms left little room for travelers' items
Too many cram packed dishes and utensils. Not much room for food and supplies renters bring in.
New pool cues needed
Provide the address as soon as renters pay final amount due

This house fit our group of 11 perfectly (we had several singles that wanted their own room). As other reviews state, there are a lot of knick knacks. That would be my one recommendation...to clear some of the surfaces...but the house is in good shape, clean, and functionally excellent (especially if you had kids/families). It would also have been helpful to have an actual floorplan up front as our group assigns rooms due to one member having mobility issues. We had an issue with a tv remote and the owner was quick to respond and work through the problem. There was plenty of hot water, even when several folks were showering. We would definitely recommend this property!

Seamless checkin. Loved unit and bedrooms and kitchen area. Many amenities. Would definitely rent again if going to Beaver Creek with large family. Our own shuttle to slopes was very convenient.

When we arrived for check in the first thing we noticed was that the place did not look clean or tidy. We entered through the garage which was cluttered with all sorts of the owner's personal belongings, so much so that you could not park your car in there. The house was as it looks on line except you could quickly notice the lack of cleanliness. It just looked like it needed a good deep cleaning and some attention to details. We noticed spider webs and a few spiders in the bathrooms, the dishes and silverware needed washing or rewashing before we could use it, and there was pet hair in many places so much that our eight year old grandson got sick the first night. He and his family ended up having to relocate to a different house after that first night. The other reason they did this was they just were not comfortable with the level of uncleanliness there. My wife and I have owned a place there in Arrowhead and we rent it out quite a bit through VRBO so we are familiar with the standards and levels of expectation of renters there. This place was a disappointment in a number of ways, in addition to those mentioned here. I feel that due to the lack of cleanliness, the pet hair problems. and one of our families having to relocate we should be reimbursed for the cost of their relocation over six nights. Please let me know your thoughts on that.

I hate to give a bad review, but this house deserves one. It really is filthy. The location next to the tennis and pickle ball courts is awesome, the layout is great, but the house is way cluttered. The home needs a deep clean. We ended up buying our own paper goods because everything was so old and the drawers were dirty. When we got there, there was a distinct smell. When we went to go to bed, one of the beds was wet. There was a water leak that had In one of the bedrooms that had been going on for a while, and had been dripping on the bed.. We closed the door to that room but you never could get rid of the smell. On the second night one of the guys turned over in bed and the bed broke. When we told the property manager he sent someone to look at the leak, but never offered any kind of concession. On the bed his only response was, “insurance will take care of it.” I’m sorry but when you spend $800 a night in the off-season there is a minimum expectation of the property and the owner to make things right. He did none of that. The stay should have been refunded or severely discounted. It’s unexpected to see a slumlord managing a property with such potential. I wouldn’t stay here again if it was free. I’m not snooty, but I would have preferred to have been in a tent in the back yard.

The house was plenty large for our group of 18 but has some issues that need addressed by the owner. For the cost per night paid we expected a whole lot more than we got! Issues we encountered:
The kitchen sink has pipe and fittings that need replaced. It pulled apart and leaked all over. When I brought it to the owners attention, he already knew what the problem was before I explained it! It was clearly an issue he knew about but didn't feel necessary to have correctly repaired (there was already a bucket under the sink to collect leaking water). I told him a plumber needed to be sent over immediately and then he asked if we were able to get it back together. We managed to put it back together with limited tools, but a small leak remained. The fact that he asked us if we fixed it instead of repairing it immediately was completely unacceptable.
Supplies "starter" quantities of toiletries. Each bathroom had one or two rolls of the cheapest available toilet paper. For a group of 18, you can imagine how long that lasts. Again, for what we paid per night this was pretty ridiculous. No laundry detergent was supplied either, so that's pretty disappointing but not as big of a deal
Washer and dryer work but need updated. They are from the 1990s if I had to guess
The garage was full of extra supplies the owner uses for the home. This appears very unorganized and crowds the garage. I really expected a place to hang skis and snowboards for our group of 18. There was limited space, so many of us leaned them up outside in the front courtyard area
Multiple toilets backed up within the first day. Multiple showers were slow to drain because they hadn't been serviced in a long while. The owner just directed me to use the plungers and clean up hair in the showers.
I previously asked if the home had a crock pot and was told yes. I finally found it in the pantry once the owner told me where it was. It's large enough to feed about 5 people, so that's pretty useless when you are cooking for 18
There are so many cluttered dishes in the kitchen. Pots and pans crammed in to all the cupboards. Many pots and pants had the coatings chipping off, so they need to be thrown away
The amount of knick knacks makes the house cluttered and unable to be properly cleaned. The owner knows this and made a point to place a knick knack sign joking to ignore the dust
Wish I had more space to type. The location is convenient, but we won't be back unless the price is cut in half!

I scheduled a trip with 21 friends so we could go to Beaver Creek for 2 days and Vail for one. Although it is not clear on the listing, we managed to have 4 couples and 13 singles sleep here comfortably. The bedding is an odd layout, but also makes it kind of fun. There are giant tables for group meals and games. and the hot tub is right next to the patio door, so you don't have to spend time being cold.
I would happily rent this stay again if ever in the area!

Ou large group enjoyed our stay very much in this well stocked home. There was ample room for everyone together as well places to relax alone or in a smaller group,
We did feel the online listing showing a pool is somewhat misleading as the pool is not even close to the home. It is located at the main entrance to the community, and not a walkable distance..
The community is beautiful & the home is located next to pickleball/ tennis courts where we met some of the friendly neighbors of the community. The property is private with beautiful trees & landscaping. It is an older home and in need of some general upkeep and thorough cleaning, but a pleasant place for a week of family fun..

The house is in the beautiful Arrowhead Community and is well appointed with most everything you could need. It is set up to accommodate many people, so great for a reunion or group gathering. Location was great - close to Beaver Creek, Avon, and not too far from Glenwood Springs. The house is somewhat outdated and could use some TLC. Overall, we enjoyed our Stay in Edwards, CO.

Stay in Arrowhead
the house was a very open and spacious home, which allowed plenty of space to move about. The deck furniture was plentiful.
The hot tub was popular and was checked half way thru stay. Pickleball became very popular and a lot of contested games. Our activities included fly fishing (caught trout in Eagle River) Rafting, Horseback riding, Viewing wildlife including a black bear and several deer. On one night attended a concert In Eagle (thur)
The condiments, and kitchen was well stocked. The airpot was great as we could make coffee and keep it hot.
The pool was some distance away, so didnt use much. Our group from Milwaukee, Boise, Seattle, Winona and Dodge Center, Mn enjoyed themselves. Our grandson is a fly fishing guide in Avon and he helped us a great deal with lining up activities. Beautiful area and memories will be many. Roy

Well appointed home for large group!

The house was dirty. There are nick knacks everywhere (a bit like a hoarder house) and they were very dusty. The bathroom floors were dirty and the house is very outdated. It appears the house has not ever been updated. One of the bathroom showers didn’t work and the floor under the tub in one of the en-suite bathrooms was spongy. There is no garbage disposal. The furniture and appliances were very outdated. The pool is at least a mile away. The pictures associated with the listing make it appear the pool is at the location. There is a hot tub on the deck but one half of the jets were not working. Overall, it was the condition of the property and the location of the pool were so disappointing.

This is a wonderful location. We were able to find so many things to do within a 15-30 minute drive of the house. Tennis courts close to the house made it a lot of fun. The pool was further from the house than expected. The house was decorated with way too many knick knacks-----many of which had not been dusted for months and it made the house feel very crowded. Outdoor deck was lovely. While we loved the location, the house does not sleep 25 comfortably as advertised.

We had an amazing time. The free shuttle made getting our large group to and from the mountain at different times a breeze. The house is perfect for hosting groups of family or friends.

We had 8 gentleman stay in this spacious home for a 4 day ski trip. Overall, we had a comfortable and relaxing stay. There are a few things that could really help this home be an absolute gem. Here are some highlights of Pros/Cons:Pros- Absolutely fantastic location for skiing, airport access (EGE), and location to town. - Plenty of space for vehicles. We only had two, but could have fit a few more off-street in driveway. - Even though the home is located near a major road, we never once heard any road noise. Quiet, quiet, quiet. - The hot tub was clean, warm, and conveniently located on deck. - A very large home with bedrooms and baths everywhere. Cons:- The house was cleaned by a service, but needs to be cleaned overall. Heavy dust on trinkets, toothpaste splatter on a few sinks, and pee stains below the rim of a few toilets. - Bath rugs in the bathroom were stained and seemed old. Stepping out of a shower onto a stained rug is not appealing. - Trinkets and old decorations everywhere! These are dust collectors and detracted from the home leaving space constraints and an overall feel of a gift shop opposed to a home. - Although the kitchen supplies were plentiful (and I mean plentiful!), they were extremely old and didn't work very well. The can opener didn't work, the glasses are so old they have a haze/film on them. Not that big of a deal, but detracts from home. - The interior of the home could use paint and wall repair. Near a few ceilings, there were cracks and the paint seemed very old and dull. Again, no big deal but just stating what we saw. The pros were enough to outweigh the cons, but I am on the fence if we would stay here again. We had fun, it was relaxing, there was plenty of space, and we were very comfortable. However, the cleanliness, older utensils/pots/pans, outdated amenities, and trinkets overwhelming the space would have us looking at other options as well. In the end, we enjoyed our stay, we had a fabulous time, it was very relaxing, and we all left with great memories. That's all you can ask for!

It’s a beautiful property with enough space, we were a large group of family from all over coming to celebrate our little sister. We had more than enough room and we were able to enjoy our weekend.
