Adventure awaits. Discover aquatic wildlife and vegetation at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher or enjoy a relaxing ferry ride across the Cape Fear River to a quaint little shopping town called Southport. Take a trip back in time at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Museum which features live oak-covered trails and bunkers from the American Civil War. Stroll through the marsh to visit the home of the famous Ft. Fisher Hermit. Or wind down with nature at our two state parks, sure to provide a memorable experience with hiking, fishing, and water activities such as paddle boarding and kayaking, and search for a Venus Flytrap which is native to NC only. As one of North Carolina's most undeveloped beaches, the island offers a unique opportunity to see many diverse coastal wildlife, including pelicans and loggerhead sea turtles, in their natural habitat. Whether it’s exploring activities on the island, enjoying the ocean views, or enjoying a cocktail by sunset from your own private balcony, Pleasure Island offers diversion for every enthusiast!
Explore the treasures of Carolina Beach, ranked one of the top 10 boardwalks in the country by Food & Wine magazine. One of the last remaining beach boardwalks on the East Coast, it includes a variety of restaurants, an arcade, shops, ice cream, Famous Britts Donuts, bars, and more! During the summer months, the Boardwalk is bustling with the sound of music, carnival rides, bingo, family nights, and events like the weekly fireworks and concert series. Rent a Jeep, bicycle, or golf cart as the most convenient ways to navigate the island. Annual off-season events include the Cape Fear Kite Festival, Christmas by the Sea, and the Island of Lights Festival.

We stayed during the August tropical storm - so our weather was not ideal, but we still enjoyed the trip!
The large deck and comfortable chairs allowed us more ocean front viewing time since we could not always be on the beach. And the proximity to the beach and beach access allowed us to run back and forth when needed due to the rain. The common areas were nicely decorated and clean. The space was a bit smaller than expected. We were a group of 4 so everything worked out but if we would have planned to use the pullout couch for more people it would have been uncomfortably tight. There were a few items that could use attention - the sliding doors were very difficult to slide, and would not always fully close. During the height of the storm we had water coming in through the sliding doors. Also the bathrooms could use some updating. All in all it was a nice place and we would recommend.

The property was just as advertised, and we felt like it was the best location in Ocean Dunes Resort. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation. Thanks so much!

Lovely location!
We had a very nice time here. The location was perfect and convenient. The place was very good but a few adjustments could make it great. The parking was easy and it was a quick walk up some stairs to enter the unit. The unit had some updates in the main area and kitchen that were nice. The main area was decorated well but overcrowded. It was uncomfortable for all three of us to sit on the sofa to watch tv. The kitchen had lots of pots, skillets, utensils and gadgets. However, they were very dirty. Lipstick on cups, dried food, nasty cutting board, etc. The second bedroom was cute with two twin beds and a small tv and the bathroom was just outside the door. There was a large roach that we had to kill one morning. The master bedroom was too crowded with furniture and it was very difficult to enter the tiny master bathroom because of the nightstand blocking the doorway. The furniture was also very old. Neither of the bathrooms were updated at all and the master needed a new shower head. The master bathroom was also dirty with balls of hair and some rodent droppings, the shower tub didn’t seem clean so we wore our flip flops. The patio was amazing and overlooked the ocean. It had one pvc lounge chair. It had a high top table and two chairs. We wished it had regular chairs because our legs would fall asleep.

Great place right on the beach!
My family and I had a great time in Kure Beach. This was our first visit to Kure Beach, and we will definitely be back! The condo was very nice! Having it right on the beach was perfect!

Quiet and Peace
Your right next to the ocean. The sounds of the waves will out you right to sleep at night. The area is nice with some good local restaurant. It is less that 5 minutes to the aquarium

Beachy
Beautiful view and location. Dishwasher was broken and dishes came out dirty. But, other than that, the unit was very nice. I would return.

Nice beach house. On the downside after a nice 6 1/2 hour drive down from VA we arrived and there was not a single piece of toilet paper in the house. A quick trip to the Food Lion was called for. The association's recreation center needed a good cleaning. There was obvious mold on the vents in the work out room.

Great little spot
Condo complex was nice and right on the beach. Inside everything was in pretty good shape other than the couch, which wasn't terrible, but they could use a new one. One thing that would take this place to 5 stars (sounds funny but this was about the only thing lacking) would be just a few shelves next to the washer/dryer for a pantry so people could put food in it. Instead we pretty much had to put all of our food on the counter. Thanks for the great time!

Enjoyed Stay!
Enjoyed Stay! “My favorite part was the TV, big screen, lots of channels, HD for my basketball games – only thing I needed to stream was the Big 1 Network!
Experience with Sea Coast – “thank you for working with us on the price, extending our payment date, fixing the sliding doors. You are an excellent company to do business with.”

Excellent view and support by the rental agency.
Beautiful view and we could hear the waves. Needed a new filter on the HVAC and a little dusting on the air vent (minor stuff). There was rain forecasted every day we stayed but except for late at night it didn't happen. Never bet on a bad day at Kure Beach.
