The flat is as good as advertised, a spacious, beautifully equipped apartment with balconies all around, and a beautiful view of the Parc Jourdan. Time at the playground, meeting locals, was particularly delightful for the 5-year old among us. Despite a withering heat wave, the flat stayed cool with excellent AC, and the walk to the city center, just a few minutes away, was pleasant. Good value and great amenities. Would stay there again!

Although we were rushed by Najwa as she had another person to check in, we managed to figure most things out.
We missed her daughter’s door ring as we didn’t know how to use the phone, but no worries!
We loved the apartment and hated to leave after 2 weeks!
If we return to Aix, we would definitely stay here!

Sophie was a great host. Despite challenges with bathroom timing she was very communicative, responsive, and accommodating.
We loved the place- so sunny, and the location was superb - overlooking park and 10 min walk to just about everything. The place was very well stocked - kitchen, towels, etc.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sophie’s place.
Only suggestion - put that beautiful rug shown in the photos back in to warm it up. The photos really sold it and that rug helped make the room come alive.
We definitely recommend this place for travelers to Aix!

Our group of 4 friends stayed at this property for 1 week. Very good location. The parking spot was locked, with gated access. We had a Toyota Corolla and it just fit.
The apartment itself had a large common area facing the Parc Jourdan with 3 french doors opening unto a balcony. We kept the ice bucket in the shade out on the balcony.
The apartment, while flooded with light during the day, had dim illumination in the evening hours- many floorlamps. This gave the apartment a wonderful evening ambiance. The over-the-range light switch was broken, but by inserting a key into the slot and manually sliding the moving part inside, it was possible to turn the light on and off.
The dryer is an evaporation dryer. The dryer door requires encouragement to stay closed - prop the door shut with the laundry hamper set on a towel on the floor to anchor it. The washing machine worked well & smelled clean. The water pressure in the showers was good. Hot water - no shortage. Radiator heat. Remember to open the bath window to help control the post- shower humidity as there is some paint peeling in the baths. Some caning on the dining chairs was broken. The apartment was clean, the beds comfy. The second bedroom was made up with two twins. The kitchen had plenty of plates, dishes, champagne flutes, wine glasses and cheese knives etc. The lower kitchen cabinets smell of cooking oil that has not been cleaned - a bit rancid. Perhaps a deep clean there could be arranged :) I would rent again👍

The unit was spacious and airy but many of the chairs were broken. There were numerous tables and useless stuff. Many lights didn't work and there was an unpleasant smell emanating from the kitchen drawers. The deck furniture hadn't been cleaned. The place could be exceptional but needs some TLC.

Great property for 2 couples . Nice and close to old town but far enough out with lovely view over park to get away from town hustle . Easy walk to train station. All cooking utensils to make great home meals after visiting local markets . Highly recommend the property

We were met at the apartment by the owner’s partner’s assistant.
She was friendly and gave us a tour of the apartment. It was spacious and filled with light during the day.
About 10 minutes after she left I noticed a substantial leak under the master bedroom sink .
There was a small glass bowl that had been put there to remedy the leak but by our arrival it had served no purpose.
I got in touch with our contact who let us in and she made her way back to us the following evening. She said she need to get a plumber and shut the water to the washing machine off.
We were no longer able do laundry without disrupting the leak. We had purchased detergent and were looking forward to doing wash after 4 days in Paris.
In the meantime I had let Sophia, the owner ,know that there was a leak and that apartment was not cleaned well.
A dirty coffee maker , rug not vacuumed and crumbs on the dining room table .
She apologized.
The rest of our stay was uncomfortable, not knowing what was really properly cleaned. The blankets in storage were dirty, lamps not working and the first mug I pulled from the cupboard was dirty with coffee stains ( the kind that clean off)
The property needs more attention and a deep clean. Good location and lots of potential.

We had a week in the apartment in August. Check in was very easy and we were met by Nolven who was very friendly and gave us a tour of the apartment. There were some confusing instructions about the door locks on the back of the door, but Nolven advised that they were in the process of being updated.
The apartment itself is spacious and comfortable, with everything you would need for a short stay. It was very hot when we were there and we were particularly glad for the electric blinds and airconditioning which shielded us from the worst of the heat and made it a welcome place to return to at then of the day.
It is in a quiet area about 10 minutes walk from the centre of the city and Aix is a great place to use as a base to explore surrounding areas.
Unfortunately the boulangerie around the corner was closed for August, but we found a fantastic alternative about 10 minutes walk away, Boulangerie Hat's Aix.
We would recommend this apartment to those wanting to explore Aix and its surrounds.

Beautiful 2 bedroom apartment. For Europe, this apartment is like a penthouse. Very spacious. Most comforts of home. Close to a wonderful bakery and small market. 10 - 15 minute walk to center of town. Once rental car was parked in very tight garage, it stayed there until we left. You can walk everywhere or there is a bus line in front. Nolvin was a great support with advice and suggestions. ❤️

The apartment was spacious and comfortable, the kitchen was well supplied, the front terrace was very nice, the bathrooms were adequate. The location was good; it’s a 15-20 minute walk to most places. Sophie was very prompt in answering emails and thorough with her information.

The apartment was very spacious, with a large kitchen, which we appreciated, and two full bathrooms. It was however not very clean, there were crumbs on the dining room table still had crumbs on it from the previous guests, so the table cloth hadn’t been washed and the placemats not wiped off. The nice large balcony was very dirty, like weeks or months of dirt and had five completely dead and brown plants decorating it. There was not dishwasher soap tablets, so I emailed the manger but never received a reply, so we bought our own. Bedroom light bulb out and no extras. Two burners on the stove didn’t work. Nice large place but needs work!

This apartment was perfectly located in the center of Aix, across from lovely Parc Jourdan. It was a quick walk to the restaurants and shops of Cours Mirabeau. We picked up our baguette and viennoiserie daily from Au Pavé du Roi, which was a 5 min walk down the street. The apartment was spacious, clean and well equipped. Beds were very comfortable as well. We especially appreciated the parking garage, which allowed us to use Aix as our Basecamp for the week. From there, we could conveniently drive to Arles, Avignon, the Luberon and Cassis. Tour á fait parfait. Sophie was very helpful and responsive, and we were grateful for her hospitality.

Perfect setting for Aix visit
This large and comfortable apartment was the perfect location for our vacation in Aix. Being located across the street from Parc Jourdan was beautiful and quiet. Such amazing sunsets from the balcony! Kitchen was well supplied and plenty of room for two couples. Friendly neighbors made it feel like home. Sophie was very responsive to our inquiries. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely first class
We had a fantastic time in this lovely apartment. Everything was first class. Communication, cleanliness, location, facilities and space were all fantastic. We will stay again for sure. Why stay in a hotel when you have this lovely apartment on the doorstep of the town centre of Aix. I hate walking any distance and the town centre was walking distance for me.

Very Enjoyable
The apartment is quite large and well appointed. Absolutely nothing was wanting.
The location being only a short walk to the old town, was perfect. Everything was well organized from start to finish.
We are definitely looking forward to returning.
I highly recommend this property.

Delightful Provencal Apartment
Sophie's bright and roomy apartment was wonderful! We found it to be clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The location is ideal - quiet, yet a short walk from everything. Our first two weeks were so pleasant, then the pandemic arrived in France. Sophie was so helpful in advising us and encouraging us when we had difficulties leaving the country. We look forward to returning !

This (quite large) apartment was perfect for our family of two adults and two children (8 and 12). We stayed in this neighbourhood 5 years ago for a month, and have been wanting to return, and so happy we did. Sophie's apartment is perfect - large, clean, well equipped, and directly across the street from Parc Jourdan, the central green space of Aix attached to the university. A great boulangerie/patisserie is a 5 minute walk, and the Aix city centre is an easy 10-15min walk away. We walked the city for hours, including up to Paul Cezanne's Atelier, shopped the vegetable market at Place Rechelme, and back to the apartment for great dinners of fresh veg, cheese, baugettes, and wine of course. A fine reminder of the civility of cafe culture at a walking pace.Sophie was a very communicative and welcoming host, and her co-host Zohra was there to greet us and show us the facility. After we had left and arrived in Paris, my wife discovered she had left some important papers at the apartment. Zohra retrieved them and put them into the mail to Canada for us. Thank you!I highly recommend this apartment, and we will stay there again on our next trip to Aix - hopefully sooner than 5 years from now!

Great property in Aix-en-Provence
Very clean, and the check in was extremely easy, the owner went out of her way to accommodate our early arrival. The apartment had everything required for a week long stay. The bed in the larger bedroom was VERY comfortable (I can't say what the 2 singles in the smaller bedroom were like) and the bathroom was large, well appointed, and the shower water pressure was great. The internet access was a little dodgy on occasion, it helped to reboot the router, but overall it was OK. The apartment faced the street across from Parc Jourdan but was not noisy, even with some groups of young people in the park in the evening. It was about a 10 minute walk to the Rotonda and the restaurants in that area. Overall, and excellent stay and a great choice.

Lovely apartment
This apartment was perfect for our family. Spacious and beautiful with balconies all around and a view of the park and cool breezes mornings and evenings. Our host was very kind as we were rather late and made sure we had everything we needed. And the location was perfect - a short walk to everything, shops close by, but quiet even on the big music festival night. Can’t say enough about this lovely apartment in Aix. Thank you!

My base in Provence
We had a great time at the flat in Aix. It was a nice, clean unit and a great location near town, a Boulangerie and a market. The parking on site was a huge plus since the street parking was crazy. We would stay there again.

Couronne Urbaine in Aix en Provence is a great location and a pleasant apartment.
The location of the apartment is perfect. It is located across from a pleasant park. There are large doors in the living area that open up onto a large terrace facing the street and park. It is perfect for a morning or evening coffee. The walk to the historic center is very short and pleasant. On the way to the center, you will pass an excellent patisserie as well as a well stocked family grocery store.
The amenities within the apartment are basic but all you will need for a pleasant stay. The two bathrooms are attractive and clean. Both of the bedrooms are fine as well. The apartment building itself is quiet and located in a nice neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay in Couronne Urbaine.

Sophie’s home is charming, spacious, and very comfortable, exactly as described in the photos. It was generously and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed, and is a short walk (10 minutes) from the centre of Aix, with a good bakery and grocery just a few minutes away. Sophie was very helpful leading up to our stay and Najwa provided a very warm welcome when we arrived. I would happily stay st Sophie’s lovely home again.

The Most Comfortable Apartment in Aix en Provence
My husband and I stayed the month of October at Sophie's apartment and we were amazed upon entering by the large open living spaces. The living room opens onto a large balcony overlooking the lush park across the street. There is a side balcony that is shaded in the afternoon and perfect for an anytime rest. Since it is located on the second floor we enjoyed sunset every evening. The master bedroom has THE most comfortable queen bed. The second bedroom has 2 twins or put together they make a king size bed. All linens were of very high quality with duvets and comforters. In addition the en suite bathroom of the master bedroom has a long counter with several drawers and a deep, long tub. The second bathroom has a great rain shower head with attaching wand. The kitchen is equipped as if a master chef had requested the cookware, dishes and glassware. The stove and dishwasher are of premium quality. Besides all these amenities to the property, the location is perfect for walking to the local boulangerie, town for cafes and the outdoor markets with fresh ingredients for any meal. The bus stop across the street with several different lignes is perfect for access to most anywhere in the area.
Sophie could not be a better communicator. We started writing her several months before our arrival and she responded immediately. Her co-host greeted us upon our arrival and made sure we were comfortable with details of daily French living. I attended the French Language school IS and my husband enjoyed his walks to town for shopping and enjoying the historical aspects of Aix en Provence. Sophie's apartment surpassed any expectations he had and is the best VRBO property we have ever experienced.

Lovely apartment with lots of space and walking distance to everything
I stayed for 2 weeks in this lovely apartment. I was greeted by Natwa and she showed me where things were and how they worked. They even provided all the fixings for breakfast to make the start of my stay even more pleasant. I had all the space I needed as well as wifi and TV with a few English speaking channels. The kitchen is well stocked for preparing your own meals if you want to eat in. The balconeys allow the cool air to blow through the apartment and make it a very comfortable temperature even when it is fairly hot outside. Everything is close by - I didn't have a car and walking was very do-able, there are public transport options as well. Great little boulangerie just up the road!
