GREAT STAY, HEAT WAVE CAME THROUGH AND THE HOUSE STAYED COMFORTABLY COOL.

House and location were perfect for our family. My husband is really into Muskie fishing and the location of the yellow cottage was like fishing out his back door. Love the fact there was a 1st floor bedroom for my mother-in-law and minimal steps for her to navigate. Drawbacks - no where to park the boat trailer. Only one shower, okay for our small group and staggering shower times. The biggest complaint, the water in the cottage.

It was a wonderful week at Lake Chautauqua. The cottage was absolutely wonderful! We would rent this cottage again ANYTIME we are in the Chautauqua area. The lakefront setting with dock are stunning. The cottage has 4 bedrooms with very comfortable beds. Seating for a group was great at the long kitchen table.
If asked to find one complaint, it would be that the tap water has a strong sulphur odor that is off-putting, so we just used bottled water for everything.
Great cottage, great views and a great time was had by all!!

Stayed here for the week with family. The four bedrooms were enough space for everyone. The master with the balcony was just perfect as there were times where a meeting for work had to be held. Was very private and comfortable balcony. Very quiet dead end street and plenty of parking. Everything in kitchen was available that you needed. Was nice having a washer and dryer as well for laundry. The sulfur smell of the water was hard to get used to but glad they had the water cooler for filtered water to drink. My nephews went in swimming and the water is very shallow near the dock for kids.
Was a nice place to stay and would stay here again as it was a great location in relation to Bemus.

Loved Yellow Cottage
The cottage was impeccably clean and we'll equipped for food and fun! Confirm seating (indoors and out) and games abound, along with ample cooking supplies made for great family memory making. The neighborhood was quiet, at the end of a dead end; added bonus. The only drawback was water: the sulfur water and the lake water. Bring bottled water for drinking and cooking, and floating mats or tubes to float on the lake (Lily pads, and water plants make for slimy footing). We would also recommend a ladder at the end of the dock for easy in and out access to the water. Overall, a great place to relax!!

Very comfortable and enjoyable getaway
Our first impression of the property was that it was very clean and well maintained. Other than the refrigerator needing a little extra nudge to completely shut, everything was in good working order and no issues. We had a rainy day, and there was a generous TV package and several games to keep us busy. We will definitely plan to go back.
If there was any single suggestion, it would be to find a way to improve the odor of the water. Our kids had a tough time showering with the strong sulfur smell. Other than that, I can't think of a single complaint. Thank you again.

Family Stay
Great place to stay love the view. Water in cabin could definitely use some type of filter. Bring plenty of bottled water! Other than water place was everything we expected and more!

Lovely place. Really loved it.
This place exceeded our expectations. Beautiful water access, bigger than it looked, decorated nicely, and it was easy easy and comfortable. We all loved it. We’ll be back.

The house was very nicely decorated with a beautiful view of the lake.
We stayed 2 nights while attending a concert at Chautauqua Institute. Highly recommend a trip to Bemus Point and The Fish for dinner! The house was nicely remodeled, clean, tastefully decorated, and had adequate space for the 4 of us. Enjoyed the games and puzzles in the living room and the views of the water. Would recommend a better air conditioning system or room fans - as the one unit helped but some of the rooms were not as cool as we would have liked and it was difficult to sleep. I’m assuming that if it wasn’t 90 degrees and humid that opening windows would usually let in great cool breezes from the lake but it was unusually hot and horribly humid outside during our trip. Thanks for a great overall stay!

Great place to stay!
This house, even with only 1 shower was great for 3 adults, 1 teen and another adult couple for a couple of nights. Waking up to the sunrise was ideal. Sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee before anyone wakes up - listening to the seagulls, fish jumping and fisherman trolling by was so relaxing. Roasting marshmallows in the fire pit extended our time with friends and family.
