Rockin' Rhody is a 5 bedroom, 2 bath craftsman style home in Rhododendron that can sleep 12 people comfortably. This home has 1 king bed, 3 queens and 3 sets of bunks. Free WIFI, 2 smart TV's and a beautiful stone fireplace.
This is a perfect home for ski camps, family reunions and corporate retreats. Close to the Zig Zag River, hiking trails and the village which features a grocery store, post office, two coffee shops & several local restaurants. You are only a few miles away from Government Camp and another few miles to Timberline Lodge and Mt Hood Meadows. Walk to ZigZag River and hiking trails. Be sure to try out the hot tub after an adventure filled day on the slopes or exploring the area and enjoy preparing dinner on the gas grill.
This is a pet friendly property, you don't have to leave your furry friend home. There is a $60 pet fee per pet.

Place was perfect for our get together. Close to the stores if you need more of something or forget it. Awesome trails all around you. We had a problem with the carbon monoxide alarm going off due to low battery and the office staff was attentive and quick to address the issue.

Rockin Rhody is set back in the woods, giving it a private and rustic feel while also being close to many amenities (Village Market, many restaurants, more!). We had a group of seven adults, and there was plenty of room for all of us to stay and move around. The house is clean, comfortable, and quiet (outside of some highway noise). It was too hot to use the hot tub, but we peeked at it and it looked great as well.

The cabin was in a beautiful location close to Government Camp, Ski Bowl and Timberline. The cabin was warm and fireplace was a very nice amenity. The cabin was well supplied with all amenities. Great time had by all!

We were up for Christmas and all the adult children and dogs had a great time. Plenty of room for all. The forest the house is in is gorgeous. The hot tub site under the trees next to the house and works great. The kitchen was a good size to prepare big family meals as well as the dining table fit 12 .

Our stay was amazing! We had a handful of friends celebrating my partner’s birthday and this home was perfect. Plenty of beds for people to sleep, a large living room for games and conversation. A beautiful backyard with easy access to hiking and the town. Would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for an stress-free getaway!

The house is nestled in the woods just a few yards from highway 26. It looks like you're in the wilds of Oregon but sounds like a freeway rest stop. Beds are comfy. House is clean and well equipped. Lots of beds for a large party. Tried to get a late checkout on Sunday but no one answered the phone and the office was closed.

A great place to get away and relax with the family. The dining room comfortably sat all eight of us for meals. There was a good variety of kitchen ware and small appliances available for use. More food storage in the kitchen would be appreciated for those of us who really like to cook big family meals. Overall a very comfortable layout.

Comfortable, clean, and great amenities! I am happy with the size of the house and fit our group of 8 adults and 3 children very well. I am pleased with how clean it was. They provided shampoo, conditioner, and soaps and had really a nice washer and dryer. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and the hot tub was delightful! You sometimes never know what you are going to get with certain reviews, but I am someone who can’t even sleep if I don’t feel like the place is safe or clean and I slept great! The hot tub worked well and was clean. We enjoyed this place very much and although the last 9 years we typically find a different place to stay, we talked about renting this place again since it accommodates my families size so well. Also, the property management company had great customer service! I had to call a few times with questions when our plans changed with pet sitters cancelling and a few other things and they were very helpful and accommodating.

Classic large cabin in Rhododendron with plenty of space.
Forest around is gorgeous and right next to a walking trail that connects to many others up and down the mountain, but also right next to the highway. My 2 favorite restaurants are nearby Al Forno and Skyway. Mt hood express bus stops very close too and is only $2!
Fireplace was so beautiful but barely warmed the room. Came with enough wood for several hours of a fire. Got more at the grocery right down the street.
Place stayed warm enough with the electric wall heaters but they kicked on a lot. Might need a home insulation inspection and upgrade.
Hot tub was perfect temp and very clean!

My family rented this comfortable home for six nights to celebrate a family Christmas. We did numerous hikes and went cross country skiing one day. The cabin is very well equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed. A great place to play board games and enjoy a crackling fire. The only concern is the steep staircase with a one year old. There is a good market walking distance away. We had a magical time. Thank you.

The house had inappropriate heater’s, it was so cold down stairs, it never heated up the entire time we were there, the heater in living room, one side blew out warm air and the other side cold air, the one in dining room barely worked, they were so full of dust. We had to buy wood, presto log’s and had to have our son bring wood with him, and still barely kept it warm, that’s also with the fireplace blowing out smoke, there was mold on the shower curtain in the down stairs bathroom, there was some kind of knocking noise coming from the meter that went off every couple of minutes that was going off the entire time, you could hear it in the kitchen and the bedrooms up stairs. We were told there was enough wood for 3 days for a fire for a couple of hours each day, there was about 6 or 7 pieces of wood with some smaller pieces to start, the wood was totally wet green wood that wouldn’t even burn, we would have just left, but we have Christmas with our kids a week early so they can have Christmas with their family. We literally had to keep bundled up and have blankets on us, the blankets smelled stell, I have never rented a place that never heated up. I would think that someone had to know of this problem. I have never been So Disappointed.

Cabin Experience
This property served out family well. We needed extra beds and extra space in order to gather our immediate extended family. we have a cabin of our own just down RD 19, and loved being able to walk back and forth and have the wonders of a washer and dryer, hot tub, dishwasher, internet at this one! It is well kept and comfortable!

Great space for family reunion
Comfy and thoughtfully equipped property in a beautiful setting. Helpful and friendly local staff. Would definitely stay again! The only thing we would change is a more effective stair gate - the one provided dis hot fit very well and the stairs we very steep for our two-uear olds.

Very spacious and comfortable
My family of 7 had a great stay at Rockin" Rhody. It's a very comfy, has a beautiful fireplace, big dining room to hang and play games. The upstairs has four bedrooms so there is plenty of room. The creek is a short distance and beautiful. The only small complaint was there was a thumping sound from the water heater, but not a big deal.

We stayed for a long weekend at the cabin with 3 other families and it was lovely! The fireplace is just amazing and the leather couches surrounding it incredibly comfy. It feels secluded even with the highway near. There are trails nearby for walking and a small grocery within walking distance if you've forgotten anything. There are tons of games and a great big dining table to play them at! The kids loved the nintendo games, too, but wifi was pretty spotty.
Like some of the other reviews mentioned, a few of the drawers in the kitchen are liable to spill out onto the floor if pulled out even halfway - I'd definitely fix that as children could really hurt themselves. The kitchen is fully stocked (we couldn't find the cord to the big pancake grill, alas, but there were many big pans). There's not much room to stash groceries. We made do with the butcher block table in the dining room and it was fine.
The only real disappointment was that the hot tub wasn't working and we were unable to get anyone out over the weekend to fix it.
All in all, we had a wonderful weekend!

Lovely Thanksgiving Holiday
Really enjoyed our stay. Lots of room for the whole family. Kids loved the bunk beds. Cooked a turkey dinner and found everything I needed in the well stocked kitchen. Only issue was how close it is to Hwy 26 ; due to the road noise when outside and after going to bed.
Beautiful hike to Little Zigzag Falls. Perfect for the grandkids.

Wonderful place to retreat!
We came for a time to relax and play. Fun hikes nearby, great hot tub, comfy beds. Highway noise was the only negative and it wasn't a big deal at all. Beautiful woods surround the cabin. We were cold in the mornings but only because we weren't smart enough to notice the heater in the dining area where we ate and played games. We highly recommend this rustic retreat.

It was much appreciated when we realized one of our group who was supposed to sleep in the bunk room has a snoring problem. The hot tub was lovely but the deck was very very slippery so be cautious. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, great proximity to ski bowl. We had a fantastic stay and works recommend it to anyone. Very friendly staff at the rental office.

The Rockin' Rhoady is in a great location- close to shopping. skiing, sledding, etc. It's a large, no frills, cabin, that was clean with plenty of room for the 12 of us.

The wooded area provided a nice buffer from the highway and a fun area to explore. The fire place burned nice and hot, but I would bring extra firewood AND kindling as they did not leave enough for our 2 night stay as they stated. There is a little market and specialty pizza shop just up the road you can walk to which was nice for last minute items. Overall we had great stay and would come again.

The hot tub is off to the side of the house with nothing protecting you from the dirt and sticks around it and nothing above to help protect you from the rain. Be careful with that because you will get charged for “not clear water” so I would recommend not going in the hot tub, especially if you have children with you. There was cigarette butts and beer cans that were left there from the people before us and we got charged for that. Extra charges for 2 extra garbage bags when we had stayed in this home for a week with 7 children all under the age 12. The furniture was terrible. There is no channels except 1. I would never recommend anyone to stay here. Especially if you have a big family with small children. There are lot of extra charges within the contract.
