Well Fed Farm is amazing- so peaceful, safe, and beautiful, both the location and the house itself. My family of eight (ranging in age from 6 to 80) had a glorious week. I'm a chef, and I bring my knives and one good skillet to EVERY rental house, because I've been burned (no pun intended) too many times by beautiful kitchens that are so poorly stocked you can barely boil water in them. THIS kitchen was perfection- every possible tool, the best cookware available, sharp knives, every spice you could want. I made mini bundt cakes, a waffle bar, braised pork tacos... everything & anything that came to mind, this kitchen had what I needed. This is the first time I have brought my knives and pan and not even unpacked them!
We had a rainy, cool week for the most part, but with the huge porch and multiple wood burning fire places and plenty of wood, we didn't mind at all. There's a game closet with literally HUNDREDS of games and puzzles. My nephews played ping-pong for hours, and every time the sun broke through we went kayaking on the peaceful, clean lake.
We slept with our doors & windows open to the screened porch, and the birds & frogs were incredible. The sound of loons calling on the lake was amazing!
I can't say enough about this home- yes, it's rural, and you'll need to stock up. But if you want a place to just cozy up with your family (with the gorgeous town of Camden just 20 minutes away if you get stir crazy), this is the spot.

I booked this for my 40th birthday celebration, there were 11 of us and it felt like adult summer camp! The house and cabins are straight out of a magazine. There are about a million small touches everywhere that make it all feel super cozy and it's immaculately clean. The property is amazing - super private and very quiet. The lake is stunning. The stars are unbelievable. Even though we were a large group we never felt cramped - there is plenty of space for everyone to be together or to wander off on their own for their own adventures. We kayaked every day, sat around the fire, laughed and played games. As if all of that wasn't enough - the host and caretakers were phenomenal. Christina, Mindy and Jenny made planning this group event so easy for me - they were super responsive, provided a ton of recommendations, and were very flexible and easy going. I sincerely appreciated all of their hard work - it truly added to how special this trip was. If you are looking for an incredible property for a Maine vacation, just stop now and reserve this today, you won't regret it!

Our group of friends had an amazing long weekend in Searsmont. Christina was a very responsive and kind host, she truly wanted us to have a memorable experience. The lake is peaceful, and full of watercraft for everyone to enjoy. The house had so many amenities, and was beautifully decorated. The screened porch was so inviting and comfy, a great place to hang out or sip your coffee in the morning. Overall, it was an easy, fun and restful stay. Highly recommend!

We had a great time with our family. Ages ranged from 4-70 and everyone had a comfy place to sleep and an activity (games, puzzles, paddling, playground etc.) to enjoy. This was a prefect spot for us, and although we wished it was sunny and warm the entire time, we had fun on the beautiful porch and stayed dry and warm by the fire!

As peaceful a place as you could imagine. Or, as active! Everything you could possibly need is there. When we go back to Maine, we will look for no place other than this.

Christina was absolutely delightful to work with from the beginning. Her property is stunning and she took great care to ensure it was ready for our small wedding. From the flowers to the gardens, it a lovely scene.
The pond is pristine and we allenjoyed paddling around the quiet waters with the loons.
We had guests stay with us in the cabins, and everyone loved their stay. Linens and bedding were supplied. Our guests were very pleased with their cabin accommodations, complete with kitchenettes and fireplaces.
We will update our review with photos when they become available.
Thank you so much for the lovely, memorable wedding and honeymoon. -Amy and Krister

Our family of five had a wonderful time at this very special property. Comfortably outfitted with everything you need to make your stay comfortable and memorable. From the water toys to fishing from the dock, spacious kitchen, and outdoor patios, to the outdoor fire pit - this place was awesome.
Highly recommend for that perfect lake side vacation retreat.

This property has a wonderful feel….like a rustic camp, but with sophisticated details. The house and cabins are thoughtfully designed. Everything is fully stocked and in good repair from the gourmet kitchen, to the game closet, to the dock where plenty of watercraft await. After active days and communal dinners for 9 around the screen porch farm table, all of us could comfortably gather round the fire for an evening of games and conversation occasionally interrupted by the hauntingly beautiful sound of the loons on the pond.

We had a lovely time, really enjoyed cooking together in the amazing kitchen, kayaking and paddle boarding on the lake, watching the loons and so much more! We couldn’t have asked for a better place for our family reunion :)

Great property for large groups and families, quiet and peaceful but a great launch pad for mid-coast towns and attractions. Host is responsive and has helpful tips for visitors. Would recommend.

Worth Repeating, Again and Again.
We just got back from a great vacation at Larry’s Pond, Christina’s EXCLUSIVE FAMILY COMPOUND LAKE HOUSE & CABINS, and we could not be happier. The adults hung out on the beautiful clean private grounds and awesome fire pit while the younger children play in the crystal clear water and kept themselves busy fishing and we all spent the most relaxing mornings out on the boats. We loved the decks on all three cabins in front, perfect for coffee in the morning. Everything was just right. We absolutely loved all three Lakeside Cottages and had an amazing time. Beautiful Lake view and a great beach. It was very relaxing just what we needed, and the best part is our kids loved it. We cannot wait to come back again! Thanks Again for a wonderful vacation!!!

Perfect Family Getaway
Secluded yet near enough to quaint Maine towns and lobster pounds, Well-Fed Farm is the perfect place to recharge and reunite with family and friends. The main house is so charming and well-appointed as are the two cottages. All have wonderful pond views and the bunnies and loons kept us company all week. Loved every minute we were there…just wish it was closer so we could get there more often!

A place to be at least once!
The "experience" starts with a beloved Christina, the owner. She is careful, and helpful, preparing tips for everything from food to places to go, and to dos. The house was very detailed decorated, full of life and personality! It is comfortable, versatile, and quiet. There is everything available to enjoy the house, inside and outside from boats to toys, hammock, grills, a delightful porch, amazing sofas around the fireplace in the house, and in the porch, books... The place is for everybody. Those who wants do stay quiet, those who wants to be active, those who wants to cook, read, talk, relax ... and so on!

A wonderfully relaxing weekend
We absolutely loved the outdoor fireplace on the back porch. The owner has added heavy plastic sheathing to the back porch which turns that space into an amazing place to gather relax and enjoy the outdoors in February in Maine. We kept the outdoor fire going so it was warm in the back porch “snow globe”.
We had the inside fire going for ambiance for the members of our group that were less inclined to be out on the porch and we made great use of the remarkable kitchen. We brought our supplies and created wonderful meals.
The support staff helped clear the snow and made sure the property was ready for our group.
A secluded and relaxing weekend was exactly what we needed and what we found in Searsmont. We left refreshed with a new set of great memories for our group.

This is a beautiful compound, remote enough to hunker down and focus on family and the outdoors. Yet close enough to civilizaton for last minute supplies. The lake is friendly and very private.

Extravagant
Came here for LDW with three families, total of 14. This property is absolutely great for this purpose. Not once was there a moment any of us had the feeling of being coupled up with each other. Kids had their ‘own’ cabins. They went and did their thing. Kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, loons, eagles, food, eve rages, fireplaces. Absolutely magnificent. Take a ride and visit the general store in Lincolnville, visit the winery, go to the Lincolnville beach. All from the comfort of this home. No motorboats on the pond which is actually a blessing because it is soooo relaxing. The massive screened in porch with dining and ping pong table and fire place is what did it for us. We basically lived there for four days. Christina and Letitia are great to work with. Letitia was there when we got to the house and walked us through, explaining where things were. When we had questions during our stay, she answered right away! The first morning she brought us doughnuts. The personal touches all throughout show that the owners love their house and it is a true home for them! You can feel that throughout! We hope to come back next year.

The property was as advertised and a lovely place to stay. It was a little buggy, and the sailboat didn't work very well, but the lake was lovely and the home very comfortable.

A wonderful place for a gathering of family or friends. Swimming, fishing, sailing, kayaking, s'mores, BBQ, open fires and much else besides for the family. Watch the kids on the dock from the many generous relaxation spots.

Well Fed Farm, Fall in Maine, Friends: A Perfect Combination
Christina, your home is a beautiful gathering place in Searsmont. Eleven long-time friends gathered, hiked, shopped, talked, cooked, ate, drank, laughed and enjoyed a beautiful fall weekend in the Camden Hills. Thank you to April for a warm and comprehensive welcoming. We truly hope to return in the future.

Lakefront Vacation
We had the most amazing week at Christina's house and recommend it very highly. We rented it for a family get-together, and as a large family with children of various ages, we found that this house was super accommodating and we felt right at home. It is super spacious and well maintained. Everything was great--a large kitchen for cooking elaborate meals and hanging out with family, a giant screened in porch, a beautiful and quiet lake. This place really has it all and I can't say enough good things about it.

Paradise
From the moment we arrived at the property we were very impressed. It's a quiet piece of paradise. The main house has everything that we could have hoped from the gourmet kitchen to all bedrooms opening up onto the very large porch and view of the lake. Both cabins were great for our 2 sons and their families. There were 14 of us total and everyone had their favorite spots picked out quickly. Our daughter and her family stayed with us in the main house. There was enough kayaks, paddleboards, and canoes for everyone and the grandchildren loved the raft and diving platform. The lake was quiet and peaceful and we have quite a few fires in the porch fireplace and outside fireplace. All in all it was a fantastic reunion and we couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our time. We look forward to doing it again.

Amazing spot
What a wonderful place! Christina’s Way is a gem and ME is an awesome destination in the summer. Our group consisted of 3 brothers and our families – nine kids from 7-23. We spent so much time at the lake and at the outdoor wood fired grill that we felt like we were camping, but happened to have beautiful bedrooms and a gourmet kitchen at our disposal. Christina’s Way is a perfect combination of outdoor living and comfort. And the large screened-in porch brings the outdoors into the house – it really is perfectly designed.
But the beauty of the getaway was spending so much quality time with our family in a remote location. Cousins on vacation together is such a special thing. Phones & laptops were abandoned for games and conversations despite the constant Wi-Fi. Seeing teenagers fully engaged in games or on the lake with their cousins will not soon be forgotten. There were countless board games and card games, a fun invention called blindfolded Pictionary (bring an easel!), lawn games, swinging on the swing set, scrabble, and of course ping pong. A personal favorite memory was seeing the teenagers watch the parents chop fire wood then cook every meal then slowly take over the tasks as the week progressed. We did not ask them to cut fire wood, tend to the fire or manage the boats by the lake, they just got it and did it. Our kids show little interest in cooking at home, but craved to learn more in Maine after watching their older Cousins, Parents, Aunts and Uncles make fresh food all week. It was amazing.
The lake hosted endless football catches off of the dock, kayaking, great fishing, paddle boarding and even our 7 year old niece’s first fish. There were many walks for exercise in the morning. Long day trips to Acadia and to Camden for a Schooner ride ended back at the fire pit for dinner and stories of the days’ adventures. It is so hard for kids, teens and even parents to unplug in today’s society, but it was just so much easier to do so at this retreat in Maine and it started from the moment we walked in. It is truly a special place.
Christina’s care for the house and especially for the guest’s experience was evident from the first email exchange we had through after check out. Her local caretakers were sweet and as concerned with our happiness as Christina was – and that goes a long way with large family with varied interests and concerns. It was a home run, we will surely return to recharge, reconnect and getaway

Great Family Gathering Place
Christina’s Way looks exactly like the pictures except they have added some great new picnic tables, rockers and benches outside. You instantly feel calm when you look out at the lake and inhale the cool air. We had 13 people and had more than enough room to spread out and still enjoy the communal spaces. Having the paddle boards and kayaks was great- several days we never left the camp. My husband and daughter caught so many fish they just stopped. That has never happened. Ever. There was plenty of wood and we had a fire outside when it wasn’t raining and on the porch when it was. The kitchen was large and well equipped and we only ate out one night. Tons of games and movies for all ages. We added to the collection. The lake is still a bit chilly but a few of us got in anyway. It’s a great halfway point for day trips to Acadia, Belfast, and Camden. 5 of them went and played golf at Samoset Resort and loved the scenery. It’s something you HAVE to put on your bucket list!

Excellent Stay in a Secluded Lakefront Estate!
Christina's property was incredible for our large group, we had tons of fun kayaking on the lake and enjoying nature. The stargazing from the dock is second to none and the amenities (TV, ping pong table, guitar, etc.) ensured there was always entertainment available. We had problems with WiFi, but Christina was very quick and dedicated to solving our issues. My group and I would highly recommend the experience of staying here!

Beautiful Property
We had a great time staying in this family friendly compound. Loved that we had access to paddle boards and kayaks. The lake was lovely. We did not realize that the property was not air conditioned and the week that we were staying the humidity was really high and the cabins got very warm. The other issue for our group was there was no microwave, so when we wanted to heat anything up we had to heat it on the stove which added to the heat in the cabin as well as the number of dishes that we had to wash. The lighting was not good in the interior gathering space. It was to dim at night to work on our puzzle so we did not get to finish it during our trip.
Loved the screened in porch and the table where we could all sit and eat dinner. Over all good location.

A special place....
This is a special place....I just felt it as soon as I drove up. The grounds are beautiful. The house and cabins are wonderfully done. You will feel it. We so enjoyed it as a family gathering. The screened in porch was large enough that we could gather out there and eat all together as well as get together for games in the evening.. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could need. Everyone enjoyed cooking in it. We enjoyed the fire pit as well as the lake. It is peaceful...quiet...and the sound of the loons greeted us most mornings. We had 3 families as well as ourselves and always felt there was plenty of room. The kids loved the yard to run around in. I highly recommend a stay at this special place.
