Location was excellent and really good for local pubs, restaurants and bars etc. The rooms were of a good size and clean throughout and bathroom was more than adequate. Radiators in the rooms with an extra portable fan heater in the wardrobe if you needed it.Tea and Coffee in the room with a decent sized TV. Exceptional value for money!
Nothing really.

Room only basis. Great location. Facilities and assortment of sachets/milk/coffee to enable me to have a few drinks.
Room comfortable and sufficient for me as a long traveler. Nice clean room and en suitebathroom.
Did have a bit of trouble finding it due to the online map I used giving the location wrongly. Location was great for my visit in the evening to see a show at Selby Town Hall. Minutes away from Selby station too so also ideal.
On first arriving I did need a couple of attempts to find my room (room 5) at the top of the building. On my first attempt I could not find any rooms beyond room 2. I didi find the room on my next attempt, but it was not an obvious route to me anyway, so perhaps some extra signage of the route through to the upper floor rooms might be useful.

The location and price, and the friendly welcome from the guy in the pub who directed us to the Micklegate.
The cramped room size, the window didn’t open and the fan was very small, the lack of hand soap.

Iits a 3 storey run down town house up 3 flight of steep stairs ,the room was presentable but hot as yo could not open the tiny window heavy traffic noise starting 3am,the bed was like sleeping on a cobbled road toilet and washing was best otherwise its disgusting

Good location clean n tidy
The Beds were horrendous Thought I Was gonna fall through it. The Room sloped the walls were paper thin. It was clean and tidy. I had a good shower my wife didn't as someone else must of been having one at the same time. Worth £50 at a push would I stay there again probably not.

Location for central Selby excellent! If you want the basics, and just stopping for a quick overnight bed and don't need any frills, could be suitable for you
The room is as basic as can be. A bed. A bedside table and a chest of drawers. That's it.
The 'wardrobe' is a rail attached to the wall. No lamps so just the main light or nothing. Had to move the bed over to be able to fully open/close the bathroom door.
The corridors up to the rooms stink of smoke. When any neighbour on my floor closed their door my whole room shook! Must have happened 10 times on my stay.
This is as basic as basic can be. And not particularly cheap because of it! If you just want a bed for 8hrs and nothing else, could be OK for you.

it was very cool, they provided a fan in our room which really helped manage the heat
could feel the spring as in the mattress, wasn’t too uncomfortable but wasn’t the best, maybe a mattress topper to help with this?

Clean inside my room, towels.
Room 5 approx. 6foot 6inch x 8foot. Bathroom width of shower cubicle so 1m wide I'd say.. Window was high up and small, I could look out if I stood right up to it. It was fine but VERY small for the price. (Around £60/night).. if it was priced to match it's size I'd have no complaints.

Clean and simple thanks
Top floor have bad knees

Location mega central.
Room keys fitted more than my room. So no laptops or other item could be left in the room through the day. But secure ok when sleeping, as there was a dead lock inside the room.

Great location, lovely check in, great value for money.
Everything was fine.

nothing
This was the first time in my life I slept in a shoebox. Very small rooms, terrible beds. WiFi did not work, television did not work, shower was not hot, very noisy. We booked for 2 nights but left already after one horrible nigjht.

Location good
Was a bit smelly

Nice location near the shops, clean, self check in and out. Tea, coffee and milk supplied. Friendly staff on the phone.
Had a few problems with the heating, They did come out to get it going, but it was very on and off and very cold. Maybe a little heater in the room would be good.
3.6
Basic, handy, clean ……good enough for my needs
it is simple basic accommodation: all I was looking for

Great location cheap and cheerful
Room was a little small

Staff very helpful.
Mattress was a bit ropey and WiFi not working.
3.6
Location excellent room not bad for money bathroom clean looks like they have tried to clean place up with decor
From outside looks shabby doesn't reflect on inside could smell someone smoking dope which wasn't pleasant could do with new bedding and pillows to make it better cold in the room too
3.6
the room was as expected and was very impressed with how clean it was.
we were without any heating for the first 4 hours, the room was freezing. they did send someone to fix it eventually although no apology for it being broken. they only fixed the radiator in the room (not the bathroom) and it was off over night so i woke up at 4am very cold and had to put extra cloths on. Would of benefitted from warmer bedding as the quilts were very thin.
the kettle leaked when trying to pour it resulting in my sister in law burning her hand and the shower was warm at best, not good with no heating
i took my own tea/coffee/sugar ect which was a good thing as there was very little available, and no "honesty" snacks as advertised.
wasnt offered the drink we bought at the pub where we picked up the keys for free as advertised on there fb page also.

Location is good.
Bed uncomfortable - lumpy and hard. Wi-fi did not work. Window blind was broken. No instructions as to how to use shower.
3.6
Great location.
Room was cold. Radiator came on in the evening so the room was warm when we came back after our night out.
3.6
Location was good. Liked the idea of keypad. Very quiet, no problems with other guests. Heating in room good.
Only person, staff wise, was when we booked in at Three swans. This felt a little isolating. No fresh milk in room, but there was a fridge on landing with a very small amount of milk. However there were plenty of shops. Not sure if it would be safe for a lady on her own.
3.6
Close yo town centre lovely little place self check in great comfy beds lovely shower room tea coffe cosy and comfy
Shower room heater didnt work and head board needs mending as nosey when you move but a lovely stay well be back
