Lovely host and an absolutely charming cabin. I was fortunate enough to meet James and Julie, who could not be nicer or more helpful. The cabin was amazingly clean, cozy and comfortable. Being right next to the river is a very relaxing and peaceful experience. I will definitely be back.

Convenient

My Dad and I spent 6 days at the cabin. It was heavenly. The River Room offered serenity & tranquility. There is lots of things to do around camp, we enjoyed fires daily, chopping wood, horseshoes, long walks near the river and naps in the hammock. We also took many day trips and explored the UP. The place is super clean and reminiscent of a simpler time. Perfect for the nature lover and for those who want to unplug and connect with family or friends. We will be back! Relaxing, peaceful atmosphere. Listening to the river and looking at the glistening water. Cabin was extra clean and was well stocked, even an extra dog bowl. Enjoyed time w my husband

We enjoyed our stay. We especially liked the sunroom. The hammock was very comfortable. We saw a Bald Eagle fly over the river. Our dog had fun in the river. Many outside games available. Fun!

We loved staying at this property. It is spacious with lots of outdoor space to have camp fires and relax. It was nice having the beautiful river to sit near. Would definitely recommend!

I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or recommend to family & friends.

This property was amazing! Very clean and the location was perfect! The hosts were extremely nice and helpful. They even went out of their way to help us with an emergency with our vehicle. We will definitely be staying again!!

Can't wait to go back. It was everything it said it was. The owners were awesome only seen them once ( floating on the river ). Would highly recommend this place. Peace and quite and everything we wanted. 😊🙂🤩

The cabin with the sun porch facing the river was amazing. James and Julie were wonderful hosts, giving us helpful information about the surrounding area. The cabin was very clean and really had everything you may need, definitely coming back next summer.

This was a great cottage. It’s remote, peaceful, and good for the soul! I would highly recommend staying in this little piece of heaven.

Absolutely Amazing!!! The LCotR was just what was pictured and described. James and Julie were so incredibly nice and helpful and recommended some great places to visit. They have a Beautiful little Cabin and we are beyond Blessed to have been able to stay there for thw week. Not having the phone service and internet to distract us (well my husband had phone service lol) was just what we needed to disconnect from the world and spend quality time with each other and ALL of GODS beautiful works of art. My husband and I played board games and card games and got to just talk. It was just a beautiful and fun time!!! We got to get out and explore surrounding areas and try out river fishing. Alot of new experiences, which is one of the many things we love about the UP. Being in our home State yet finding new, Beautiful and Wonderful places every time we visit the UP. We definitely look forward to staying at LCotR again in the future!!

This was my second winter stay at this picturesque cottage in the UP. The Hanson’s are outstanding hosts and my family and I will be back.

Very impressed, it was the perfect place to get away from the world, literally! No phone service and 4 channels on the TV it was perfect! Such a blessing!

We had an amazing time relaxing on this property. Our dog loved running around and exploring woods near the cabin. One of our favorite memories is sitting in the sun room with our cups of coffee in the morning while daylight approached listening to the River. James and Julie are wonderful personable hosts. Our dog enjoyed visiting with their dog. Will definitely be returning here for another stay.

Very well equipped cabin on the banks of a beautiful river. We litterally could have brought nothing but our food and clothes. We've stayed at several similar cabins and have never found one as well equipped. Our hats off to the owners! The view is absolutely fantastic! We spent the entire stay listening to the river and watching the wildlife. Deer, geese, ducks, raccooons, and a stately Great Blue Heron who apparently makes that stretch of river it's home. One note: our cell coverage was just fine. We streamed satelite radio the whole stay with no issues.
