About this cabin rental
Just the right amount of rustic, this cabin is also quite secluded with a few neighbors, including deer, elk, foxes, eagles, hawks, magpies, blue birds, finches, gophers, and more! Located with an awe-inspiring view of the mountains and so close to Yellowstone and Chico Hot Springs, and the western town of Livingston. Livingston and Emigrant offer nice dining, breweries, an array of art galleries and other unique shops. Chico's pool is outdoors, wonderfully clean as water is fresh every day.
It is quaint with its knotty pine interior, river rock fireplace and custom log bed! It's setting is perfect to create an awesomely memorable visit. You may come to visit Yellowstone Park, but you may find that you won't want to leave the cabin! Hideabed has got a newer plush mattress to make our guests more comfy.
Apple and Bing maps have the neighborhood streets wrong, so please be attentive to my directions and map that I send you. Weber gas BBQ, outdoor fire pit, washer and dryer, WIFI (12-20 MBPS) and satellite television, heat and air conditioning, gas fireplace logs for ambiance in the evenings. Birdseed for the bird feeder, spotting scope. Firewood and propane are provided. Smoking outside please.
Minimal, yet nearby if needed. We live on the way to the cabin and if we see you arrive, we may just check in to see if all is wonderful! We are sensitive to your privacy, yet always available by phone, text, or in person, if needed.
Its location in the valley with great views in all directions, quiet, peaceful area not too far off of a paved road. Love seeing wildlife every day, yet close to town and Yellowstone Park, fishing and hiking within 15 minutes. During wintertime, snow shoeing, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, dog-sledding, snowmobiling are a short distance away!
Car, motorcycle or bicycle. Free bus from Livingston to Bozeman on weekdays. Uber now available in the area and Bozeman.
Dogs are welcome for an additional fee of $10 each day to a maximum of $45 for a week. Longer stays or more dogs will be slightly more. The 8% Montana accommodations tax is included in the price. We request that dogs not be left in cabin without approval of the host. Host does have medium size crates available.
If you are booking more than 10 months into the future, host has right to confirm prices as occasionally calendars go into automatic pricing which is not reflective of peak season pricing. Thanks for your understanding.

This property was breathtaking. The views, the location, the animal visits, the sunsets-all of it was just heaven. Everything we needed was provided including extra bear spray for those hiking. Yellowstone was just under an hour away but felt like 10 minutes with the scenic drive there. We definitely recommend a stay here 10/10.

Above and beyond rental. Impeccably clean and well equipped/appointed cabin for two (plus dogs!) in a breathtaking open landscape Yellowstone valley. (Neighbors are great dog-lover friendly people as well.)
Best VRBO experience we have ever had.

We stayed at this cabin - wife and two children for the first three days of our Montana adventure. We would drive into Yellowstone each day. Views are unreal. Owner responsive and helpful. Would stay here again.

Beautiful place. Everything was perfect!

Where to even begin?! The views are stunning and shockingly gorgeous, exactly like it is pictured here-- and having a dog here is perfect- there's space for them to relax and play-- if ours was younger we could have thrown his ball for days!
The house is very well appointed; spices, oils, pots and pans, small but very workable oven, microwave, coffee and tea pot, very well done-- the bed is super comfy, the living room is actually one of the more comfy we've ever stayed in and the dining room table comes with that view, that wonderful view!
Vicki is a wonderful hostess, we stayed in both of her locations this trip and the touches she adds are great-- they were cool when we walked in, filled with local information and guides, with handwritten notes, both houses came with treats! (I called them swag baskets!)-- cookies, trail mix, gold fish, munchies, and the big house (this one) even had a bottle of wine for us-- it was a lovely touch-- her communication was wonderful-- knowing she or her crew were close felt comforting without cloying-- she even has a bird feeder that she leaves full for your arrival and leaves more seed to refill it!
This was a bittersweet trip, for health reasons we had to spend more time at the house then we typically do-- and it was comfortable, beautiful and enjoyable enough to do so without whining-- the deck is a beautiful place to hang out on and drink your tea and watch the birds and prairie dogs--
beautiful trip and place--

A very pretty and quiet place to unplug! The caretaker went above and beyond to help when I called her.

Omg! What a hidden gem! This place waa exactly what the listing showed and what I'd hoped it be....quiet, beautiful, room for my dogs to run and enjoy. This is going to be our new place to stay instead of Chico. I am so happy we found it. The cabin was adorable...clean, stocked with everything we needed. Thank you. We will be back:)

This was our second stay here and we can’t wait to return again! The views are breathtaking and the cabin is cozy and has everything you could need! The bed is comfy, we cooked all of our meals in the kitchen and we were there when it was cold and the cabin was nice and warm! Thank you for everything!

We loved our time at Elk Ridge! The cabin was cozy, quiet, and incredibly scenic. Surrounded by mountains and regularly visited by elk, deer, and fox, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin had everything we needed to cook meals at home, the bed was super comfy, and the decor was very fitting. Elk Ridge sits about an hour from the airport and less than an hour from Yellowstone's entrance. For feeling so secluded, it's truly not that hard to get to. It was perfect for our short getaway and we can hardly wait to visit again!

My wife and I have been traveling to the area for the past 6 years. We have stayed at other places but this has been our favorite by far. The pictures do not do the cabin justice! The cabin was very clean and we had no issues. Besides the house next door the cabin is in a private setting and we enjoyed sitting outside enjoying the impressive views. I would highly recommend and we will be back!

We had an issue right away but it was taken care of as soon as the host was aware and we were treated very nicely.
While we were there it snowed… a lot. It was so pretty and relaxing just watching the snow come down. Beautiful views and wildlife everywhere. I’m sure it’s gorgeous in the spring and fall as well.

I had read how pretty the views were and this was no lie! Just breathtaking in every direction. My kids loved the cabin, we had to force them to leave and go visit the rest of Montana :). The bathroom is pretty small but that advertised so we were expecting that. We were very comfortable and had plenty of room to make a couple of meals in the kitchen. Vicky was so nice and easy to work with. She gave us so many recommendations that all worked out great! Will definitely recommend to friends and family! Amanda

Cozy cabin with so much ambience. The views are to die for. The owner provides so many extras for you. Bed is very comfy. Nice towels and again all of the extras (shampoo/conditioner etc.) I truly hope we can visit again. Oh and the homemade Banana Bread with Black walnuts waiting for us was such a treat.
