The townhouse was extraordinary, clean and updated. It was both roomy and comfortable, if that is possible. Everything was top of the line. The owners were attentive and very helpful. The concierge made reservations at the hardest to get in event. The private chef prepared exquisite meals. I began each day in the yoga class in the gym, followed by fresh brewed ice tea in the great room where I planned my day in Scottsdale with golf, sightseeing, shopping and a show or restaurant. I will miss this place. I have already reserved my return visit.

It could not have been better!
It could not have been better!
This ground floor townhouse was very well maintained. Clean, airy and beautiful. The owners thought of everything: Completely stocked kitchen, lots of comforters, blankets, pillows, waffle robes, toiletries, hair drier, etc. The townhouse has high speed internet which was way faster than we have at home, Nest Thermostat that kept us cozy, and digital entry lock that was so quick we going to get one when we get home. The entire complex is very security conscious. Our townhouse had a spacious two car garage. The pools (4 of them) were excellent and the 2 gyms were first rate with free classes. The local BBQ's were close by (we used them regularly) and always kept clean. We will definitely be back.

One of the worst vacation experiences I've had. Contract included $100 credit for electricity, but that about covers the monthly fees and taxes before you use any electricity. The unit is poorly insulated and has large gaps around the front door that makes it difficult to cool in warm months. We used the nest thermostat exactly as instructed and had several hundreds of dollars in electricity charges. That was with us turning off the a/c for most of the day while away from the unit and never turning the heat on. Rent was also to include internet, which was terrible. It routinely goes down every morning for a few hours and then is intermittent through the evening. Oh and the provided apple tv relies on the wifi connection, so no tv for long periods every day. Property management is over zealous to tow your guest's vehicles parked in unmarked areas that permanent residents are allowed to occupy freely. Board members and property management are open about their hostility toward short term and vacation renters. Bathroom had black mold and mushrooms growing from baseboards. It took nearly 6 weeks to get that fixed after a lot of blame and finger pointing by the owner. Ceiling fan didn't work and garbage disposal broke both of which took weeks to repair. Contractors work all hours in neighboring units hammering and sawing. Owner dickered with me over the deposit upon checkout for a toaster oven I left in the unit that the owner thought was hers and replaced it at my expense because it was dirty. Save yourself the aggrevation and headaches, steer clear of Mina and Arthur's rental units at Greyhawk. If you do choose to throw your money away on one of their units, be sure to get an inventory of everything in the unit, especially the kitchen. These cheapskates stuck us for a missing shelf in their fridge they said we should have noted was missing at move in.

The Best Vacation Spot in Scottsdale
The Best Vacation Spot in Scottsdale
The owner asked me to leave a review to set the record straight. I understand about tenants abusing the review process to get what the want on Yelp so I will give my unbiased review. My time was fabulous. I have been staying in Scottsdale every year for the past 15 years, the last 5 years in this townhouse. I usually try to make the spring but last year I stayed in the summer as well. We having stayed at all the best digs, this is the one for me. Everyone was so nice and our hosts bent over backwards during our stay. I left for Tuscon for a week. I took some items with me from the fridge and I can't believe that I left the refrigerator door wide open for the entire time. If came back to a warm refrigerator and melted ice cream, worst of all the refrigerator did not come back on. Our host, Mina, called a technician who confirmed that I killed the pump. She ordered a new refrigerator then and there and it was installed within a few hours. No hassle and no charge. Mina said she could envision herself doing something like that so how could she blame me? The installer said the stainless steel refrigerator was Samsung's top of the line and cost thousands. I never felt so guilty and so happy that Mina would not hear of my offers to help pay for it. The townhouse was clean, well stocked and beautiful as always. Every year I notice upgrades to the unit. This year they went from Cox cable which everyone hates to DirecTV Now on Apple TV. I loved the hundreds of stations available including HBO. I saw other reviewers complained about local stations and sports. We received all the local channels and all the sports channels. The two master bedrooms had brand new comforters and bedding. The Great Room got a complete remodel and a new private chef. Life is good in Grayhawk. Coming again.

Amazing-No Upgrades or Attitude Adjustment Needed
Amazing-No Upgrades or Attitude Adjustment Needed
I was asked by the owner for a review since I was in this unit just before the person who left an angry review. I do not know what she experienced but I loved my time in Scottsdale and enjoyed my stay at this townhouse. I never had a problem with the pot or pans, plumbing, knives or the TVs. The soap dispenser was clean and full. Football season had not started but we certainly had all the Network stations and HBO, Showtime and Starz. My husband says he had all the sports channels. I wanted to say that the owners were attentive to all our needs, always willing to help even if it did not concern the property. They were never rude or condescending and I would have a hard time believing that they ever could be. The complex and the unit are very luxurious. I had my own cabana with towel service, we previewed a movie in the private theater with hot buttered popcorn. I received a massage from the on premises therapist. I used the on-premises concierge to make reservations. I am coming back in 2018. I had intended to leave a review earlier but I totally forgot to do so when I returned home. See you next year.

Don’t let the pictures fool you. This property requires serious upgrades. From the 10-year-old cutlery and bad plumbing, to the 2-year-old shower liner which was stiff and dirty from age (yuck), luxury is NOT how I would describe these accommodations. The budget conscious cleaning staff filled old liquid soap bottles with a different brand so that the pink soap floated on top of the orange soap! Gross. (I believe Soft-Soap only costs a buck?). The rude and condescending L A based owners seemingly only care about who gets their security deposit in first. Mina is especially rude; her emails terse and cold, she writes as if you’re beneath her or in kindergarten, doing you a huge favor by replying at all. But their most egregious offense is not having the decency to inform us know that they were seeking out a tenant for November, even though they gave us first option of refusal! Instead, they casually emailed us stating that they rented the unit and we would have to find other accommodations. Really? Pretty despicable. Lastly, and certainly not least, if you enjoy TV/Sports RENTERS BEWARE! They boast about providing Apple TV, but Apple TV DOESN’T GET THE MAJOR TV STATIONS: NBC, CBS, ABC. That translates to NO FOOTBALL! That’s right folks! NO football! Because with Apple, you don’t get any of the channels on which the games are aired. If that’s not a deal breaker, I don’t know what is. Trust that I can go on and on about how disappointing our stay was. The issues touched on in this review are just the gray tip of this debris covered iceberg. If you value cleanliness, modern accommodations or a respectful host, look elsewhere, as you’ll certainly be disappointed.
