We loved the area, and the house was the perfect size for our family of 9. It was a short walk to 3 different beaches, and we walked to the Hyatt for coffee and breakfast. Would definitely stay here again!

This was a wonderful location for our base camp on a trip to Kauai. It was within walking distance of several beaches, which the kids loves. Communication was great, too. The house was clean and well decorated, with all necessary amenities. We’d definitely look to book this house again.

this house is an easy walk to beaches in all directions....we went for coffee at Hyatt daily and walked to poipu beach everyday

We gathered our family here including a toddler and 2 infants. It was the perfect location to easily access all the best kids beaches, food, and easy access to both Waimea Canyon and Lihue. My adult daughter and daughter-in-law both commented on how clean it was and they are particular about that. The layout of the house was just right, the beds were very comfortable, the amount of beach toys available to us was phenomenal, the communication was fast and easy. I would totally come back here. The only challenge we had was that the room with 2 beds closest to the living room struggled with enough ventilation at night, so we put extra fans in there, which were available. We had access to the portable cribs. Having so many clean beach towels available was also a huge plus! Thanks for the great place for great memories to be made!

We had such a lovely time! What a great location! We walked to the beach and pool every day! Thank you for giving a place to create wonderful memories!

While we loved the location, there were many issues that made the experience frustrating.
The kitchen is in need of remodeling. The refrigerator barely kept the food cold. There was no remote in the back bedroom. The main bathroom needed deep cleaning, and new rugs. General excessive wear and tear, lack of upkeep. Lack of attention to detail.

Location was good. House was as advertised.

We loved the home and the area so much! We felt right at home and felt safe walking around. The 5 min walk to the beach was such a treat! Would definitely recommend!

Walking distance to beach, nice landscaping, quite area, home was very nice with a balance of privacy inside and a common area for dining. Lots of glass so we could see out. We enjoyed our stay

Great location between two beaches and activities. The host was easy to get ahold of for questions or concerns. We had a few issues upon arrival but nothing serious. Overall I would recommend staying at this location and will also look at it for future trips! Future tenants bag your garbage because the people before us did not and we had nowhere to put ours until we bagged and took care of thier mess!

The home feels likes it needs to be updated and a little maintenance, but the price was great and it was a great location. If you are looking to be at the beach all day, this is super close and has a walking path out the back door straight to the beach. We left the house at 8:30 am and didn’t come back till after sunset everyday, so it was perfect for us as it was mainly a large place for our larger group to sleep

House was well-supplied with paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, hand soap, shampoo and conditioner, Kleenex, dishwashing stuff.
Linens and beach toys were appreciated. Very comfortable house for family of 7 including children ages 7 and 9. AND SANTA FOUND THE HOUSE! Mahalo!

Living room has been repainted, so is not bright red as in the photos online. Home needs some maintenance. A ceiling fan in one bedroom was not secure and made noise. Kitchen well stocked, outstanding beach supplies, location was perfect for walking to the beaches. 4 bedrooms appreciated by 8 people. We enjoyed our stay.

The location is really superb in Lanai villas with the backyard facing the greenbelt that runs from Poipu beach to the Hyatt. Nice little Mountain View from the kitchen and back patio.
The owners seem really nice and easy entry and communication. Especially really grateful for the late checkout which worked out for us because no one had booked for our departure night.
Beds were comfortable and lots of windows for fresh breeze. New grill was appreciated and kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed. Lots of beach stuff in the garage, though most of it has seen better days.
The negatives offset some of this. The owner advised us the dishwasher was broken, understand this happens but it was a bummer to be spending time doing dishes during our vacation. Many of the floorboards, windows, bathroom and kitchen cabinets and hardware were rotten, corroding, or falling apart. Some windows couldn't be closed which led to signs of water damage around the windows and gusty winds, banging blinds and slamming doors during the night. Sofa cushions and dining chairs are basically shot. The floors were filthy and walking around barefoot inside led to really dirty feet. Also very dusty behind beds and in light fixtures and corners. Overall felt like a lot of the house was still original from maybe early 1980's. Seems time for a deep cleaning and making a few upgrades to a home with lots of potential!

This house was conveniently located near two beach’s and lots of eateries. While the home is certainly dated that did not detract from our stay. Having four bedrooms was super convenient and there was ample parking for our two cars. Would def stay here again!

This is a very quiet, friendly neighborhood. Easy walking paths, and centrally located to go most everywhere on the island.

We loved this house! It met our family's needs perfectly. The two en suite bedrooms were great for each couple to have their own private bath. The boogie boards and beach chairs were a nice bonus. We would definitely stay here again.

"Thank you so much! Your house was absolutely beautiful. we were more than impressed with the location, and the amenities. I don't know what else I can say it was just a wonderful trip and that again the house was absolutely great!!!! Especially when I found out that one night in the grand Hyatt next door was as much as I paid for the whole week for the house! :)"

Poipu Family Vacation
We loved this house and the location with 2 beaches and easy trails within short walking distance. We vacationed with 8 family and friends. The area was beautiful. The location made it easy to do group and individual activities. Restaurants, groceries, and activities were close. Communication about the house and surrounding area was very helpful. The house had plenty of room and everything we needed. We would definitely come back again!

Vacation in Poipu, Kauai
The property we rented was fantastic! It’s location for walking to beaches and restaurants, and short, 5 minute drives to more restaurants and shops, can not be beat. The house had everything we needed to enjoy our time at the beach and pool. The house was clean and spacious, easily accommodating 8 people.

Convenient Poipu location with lots of room for extended family
We stayed at the property for 6 nights in April with children, parents and grandparents. The bedroom configurations are ideal for this type of extended family gathering with both queen and twin bed options. There were also 3 full bathrooms which we liked! The dining areas indoors and outside are plenty big enough for 8 people and the kitchen is well equipped though the knives were very dull which made cutting pineapple a real challenge! The outdoor living space was very private but we would have preferred a patio on the green space since we thought the garden view was much nicer than the concrete.
We really enjoyed the green belt and walked every day to either Shipwreck or Poipu Beach! It was less than 5 minute walk to Shipwreck beach and 10-15 min to Poipu Beach. The pool is a 10 min walk in the same direction as Poipu Beach. There was beach gear in the garage and we used the chairs and boogie board.
In general, the house and equipment were a bit more run down than we have experienced at other rentals but the house was clean and quiet. Some simple updates such as new beach equipment and knives and an outdoor space that takes advantage of the greenway views, would go a long way.

Location location location
Location great, 5 to 10 min walk multiple beaches. House was as described, small issues with house. Dish washer was broke and dishes put away dirty hand washing in Hawaii. Contacted owner and she was quick to respond. Go to poipu Beach with kids at night to see sea turtles, Saw 28 turtles on beach and was able to talk to NOAA staff.

Great property in Poipu!
Very nice house within walking distance of the pool and beach. Perfect if you have kids with you. The owners were wonderful to work with. Our grandson left a couple of his beloved stuffed animals behind, and the owner was kind enough to mail them to us! We would absolutely stay again - highly recommended!

Great location, needs updating.
This house has a great location. Just a short walk in either direction brings you to some of Southern Kauai's best beaches. Shipwreck has a beautiful view, but the waves were more than our toddler could handle. Poipu beach park, however, was PERFECT for small children and we spent most of our days there.
The house has plenty of space and is situated on an amazing green belt with a lovely walking path. If you're into pickleball they play every day 4-6PM, $10 to participate. I did see a banana tree in the back, but we didn't pick any. Other than that, the house is very outdated. The screens on all windows are clogged with dust and crud. We saw a couple of dead cockroaches (eeek, but such is island life). A lot of the gear is broken and unusable - we only had two usable beach chairs, the umbrella was broken along with one of the patio chairs. They had a great little cart that you could use to tow your kids and gear down to the beach, but the wheel was bent so badly it didn't work very well. The kitchen is fairly well stocked with items, but could use a citrus press and new knives which were incredibly dull and fairly hazardous. The furniture needs to be replaced - very uncomfortable and old. Overall, I think this place can use a very deep cleaning, updating, and they need to replace many items (patio furniture, beach chairs, umbrella, small cooler etc). Communication with the host was very timely and easy. I would love to stay in the area again, but i probably would not stay at this house without some serious updating/replenishing of beach equipment.

Excellent family reunion property
The home was very comfortable for our family group of 7, the owner was very responsive to our communications.
The only concern we have is that the gate on the community pool requires a key not only to get in and but also to get out which we thought to be a safety issue.
We strongly recommend this property.

We love the location of the house. Being on the greenbelt was a great advantage. We had a great stay with our son, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren.

Wonderful family trip
We spent a week in this house with our 3 adult children and some significant others. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything that we needed. Everyone had a nice-sized bedroom, and the common area was big enough for everyone to spend time together. We loved the location of the house. We enjoyed walking along the path behind the house and down to the beach every day. (We also got to see turtles and monk seals on the beach every day, which was very cool for our family). The neighborhood was quiet, safe, and it was easy to drive to restaurants and shopping areas. The hosts were helpful and responsive and we appreciated the binder and guidebooks in the house filled with ideas of things to do in the area.

Particularly perfect Poipu
We took our family to Kauai to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. Because of covid we had to postpone our trip twice but ended up in the perfect location! The house was well stocked and well positioned. It was a 5 to 10 minute walk to a beach in either direction!! The weather was wonderful and the hosts were very accommodating. We loved our stay!

Family vacation
Home is located within walking distance of a few beaches, perfect location. Stayed 7/23-8/2 and therefore would’ve been more comfortable with air conditioning, as days hot and humid. But owner wonderful to work with and house fully stocked other than storage containers. Had a wonderful stay, spacious and comfortable.

A truly beautiful house with a very home-y feeling that emphasizes relaxation and peace. The location couldn't be better - it's only a few minutes walk (in either direction) from 3 separate and beautiful beaches - Brennekes, Poipu, and Shipwreck. This house has picture perfect views, its own private paradise, has a fully equipped kitchen (including a bread maker, a blender and coffee machine), well furnished rooms with extremely comfortable beds, the house was very clean and well maintained and also really spacious! Beautiful layout, furniture, well-kept, and a very welcoming. The nook in the living room has a beautiful, tropical feel to it with the deep green plants just outside the window (perfect for reading a book or sipping a cup of guava nectar). Additionally, the private courtyard is a nice refresher from the energy and excitement Kauai has to offer! We also enjoyed using the boogie boards and scuba gear that they offered which was extremely convenient because we didn't have to go out and buy the equipment ourselves and were able to have the full Hawaiin experience. Furthermore, the house owners are super friendly, kind, and easy to communicate with, we quickly made friends with them. If you are considering staying, I would 100% recommend this house, you are guaranteed to have a perfect vacation!! Will definitely be visiting again soon and recommending this house for years to come!

Perfect location and setup for the whole family.
I stayed here with my husband, two kids (ages 1&3), parents, and bro/sis in law.
Sleeping arrangement with young kids: The back master bedroom (trail side) suited my family well. There was a closet area between the bedroom and bathroom the fit the pack and play (no door to close but still semi private space with no shared walls to common areas for the baby). This bedroom had a great breeze, lots of windows, and was very quiet. The twin room next door would also be great for young kids as it has two large windows but no slider. Too bad our toddler insisted on sleeping on our floor instead. But the floor bed was great! The front master is huge but a little warmer in the afternoon and was prone to some neighborhood noise. All the beds were comfortable. If you’re a very light sleeper, like myself, the back bedrooms are a top choice.
The neighborhood: this is a really beautiful quiet neighborhood filled with million dollar homes. Oddly we didn’t hear or see any roosters here despite seeing them literally everywhere else. The trails are awesome especially for kids and you’re an easy walk from the best beaches and some great happy hours.
The house is so well equipped with anything you need. For outside activities I know it likely varies due to breakage but we had boogie boards, beach umbrellas, kids life jackets, sand toys, snorkel mask, and a life saving double wagon with kid seat belts. Inside the kitchen was well equipped (no kid specific items but lots of kid friendly plastic items) and the spare closet even had extras for first aid and sun burns.
We had no problems during our stay but for the one question we had Sonya was very responsive.
This house is obviously cared for and has an owner loved feel which I really appreciated compared to ones I’ve stayed in that are company run. These are beds and chairs I would assume the owner also enjoys sitting and sleeping in, not random stuff thrown in by a management company. This was the perfect location for our whole family to come together but still do our own things. It’s in the perfect location, is super walkable, well maintained, fully equipped, and well setup. We’re so thankful to have gotten to spend the week here.

Tremendous place to enjoy Kauai.
You'd be a fool to go elsewhere. Wonderful location. Relaxing and enjoyable. You can walk to the most beautiful sunrises on earth then return to bed in the evening in anticipation of the next one.

Fun Family Stay
We had two families with 4 kids staying in Poipu for 10 days. This house had everything we needed to comfortably enjoy our time in Kauai. It was within walking distance to two nice beaches and had easy access to the rest of the island. The owner was very helpful in getting us set up and settled and did a great job communicating with us. In addition to having everything we needed to cook and grill at home, there were beach towels, beach chairs, coolers, and boogie boards that made heading out easy. We would happily stay here again.

Amazing Family Vacation
Our family of 4 stayed a week with another family of 4 and absolutely loved our stay. The house was set up perfectly for two families. We look walks to both beaches every day, and the wagon and beach supplies were put to good use for our beach outings. The view from the kitchen/back deck is stunning. Also, our kids loved playing with the neighbor cats. Sonja was super responsive to any questions we had while we were there as well. We would definitely stay here again.

We were a party of eight for 6 nights and loved our stay. The location is perfect for group walks to the beach, pool or a restaurant, or individual time for exercise and exploring. We chose this place because of the location and that its one of the few homes that sleep 8 without everyone doubling up - it accommodated everyone well with 3 baths, comfortable beds and ample space. The house had everything we needed from towels to condiments. We did some cooking at the house and the kitchen accommodated meal prep for all of us. I highly recommend staying here and would do so again without hesitation.
