About this cottage rental
Grandview Point offers you an opportunity to enjoy a traditional Maine Lake experience in an updated summer cottage established in 1924. The Lake offers 9 miles of pristine water protected by the Little Sebago Lake Association for water, sand, vegetation, fish, and wildlife quality. There are three basins that make up the miles of water to explore, the middle basin of the lake has a public boat ramp where you can launch your boat and moor it on Grandview Point’s dock. Near the cottages dock there is a canoe and a rowboat with life preservers for your use; each person is required to wear a preserver in the State of Maine. The cottage is surrounded by three sides of water with a private sandy-bottomed beach in a cove and has a gradual entry that is safe for swimming. From the beach you have a view of “The Narrows” which enters back into the middle basin. The lake is stocked with brown/rainbow trout and bass by Maine’s Inland Fisheries. Five-pound bass have been caught off Grandview’s dock, just a note: A Maine fishing license is required for each person. A permit can be purchased from the Town of Windham or at the local Walmart that is 2-3 miles from cottage. The beach has full-sun all day with some birch trees if you prefer shade, there under the birch trees you will find four lounge chairs that can be moved about. On the beach closer to the cottage is a gas fire pit with four adirondack chairs; we supply one full tank of propane for your visit. There is also a gas grill with one full tank of propane.
Grandview Point is a two story summer cottage, the first floor has a fully stocked kitchen: refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee pot, Keurig, pans, lobster pots, grilling utensils, dish soap, dish/hand towels, cleaning supplies, a dining room, and a living room with fireplace. Off the living room is a porch with an eight-foot picnic table that looks out onto the beach and lake; this is where everyone gathers for meals. The second floor has four bedrooms with the bathroom. There are two rooms that have king-size iron beds, and two rooms with queen-size iron beds. The beds have allergy covers on the mattresses and pillows, a mattress pad, and sheets with a comforter. The bathroom has a hand towel, soap, and cleaning supplies, you will need to supply bath/beach towels. Each of the rooms is finished with pine board floors, walls, and pine board ceilings with a ceiling fan. There are antique bureaus and decor that keeps with the original charm of the cottage.
Grandview Point is also conveniently located in the town of Windham. You will find that a 2-3 mile drive will bring you onto route 302 where there are super markets, restaurants, laundry, movie theater, amusement park with miniature golf, and an 9-hole golf course on Frye Island, Sebago Lake. A 10 mile drive will bring you to the town of Gray that has a wildlife sanctuary, 18-hole golf at Spring Meadow Golf Course, and access to route 95 that can bring you further north or south. A 20 mile drive east will bring you to Freeport with shopping at LL Bean and outlets, Wolfe’s Neck Woods State Park, and the Desert of Maine, and a 25 mile drive east will bring you to the city of Portland with it’s ocean views, wooden wharves, traditional lobster/clambakes, fine dining, shopping in the Old Port historic area, and many cultural events.

Beautiful location and wonderfully appointed. Very clean!

What can I possibly say that hasn't already been said ten times over in previous reviews. It's amazing and truly unique. Staying here has set standards to new levels. The views from every window, the rustic decor with antique touches, the relaxed lake atmosphere with pontoon boats passing through the narrows and water sports action to view, but far enough away that you really don't hear them to the point of becoming annoying. All that and a pleasantly accommodating host. Thank you so much for sharing your home for all to enjoy.

This Lake house was everything we had hoped for and more! First off the location on the lake was ideal and being on its own little peninsula there were gorgeous views in every direction. The inside of the house is just beautiful and super clean. Couches and beds were all very comfortable. And when they say they have a stock the kitchen it really was fully stocked; it had everything we needed throughout the week. We loved the multiple locations to eat, from the picnic table outside, to the back porch, to the main dining room. As for the outside, having two docks, plus a swim dock was incredible! And the sandy yard was awesome for beach/lawn games, (we brought our own in addition to the horse shoes that are on the property). The Sandy beach was perfect for the older kids to play in and excellent even our five-month-old because it was super easy for her to sit in the shallow water. We would absolutely rent this place again!

Beautiful property, on a sandbar! Lots of privacy and space outside. A wonderful dock that has Adirondack chairs. It feels like you're sitting on the water. House is updated with all the essentials. Lots of windows for the cross breezes from the lake. Very close to stores and other conveniences.

The location’s amazing. We’ve been vacationing at Sebago Lake since 2010 and this was easily our favorite location. Plenty of privacy, great beach, and close to everything you’ll need on your vacation. Ted was super-responsive throughout the process. We had a great time.

I grew up in this town, and have spent many, many days on this lake! This is by far the best property on the lake! Thank you so much for allowing my son and I to spend time at Grandview Point! Everything
about our stay was better than advertised.

My husband and I treated our 3 children and 2 of their spouses plus 3 babies (1y, 1y, 2y) to a weeks vacation. This was the perfect spot. The bedrooms were large enough to add pack and plays, the Sandy beach made playing in the water enjoyable and the dock was perfect for a boat we brought and a pontoon we rented. The property is private and the house is spotless. The pretty wood interior made for a homey comfortable place to relax at night. The picnic table on the porch was large enough for all of us to sit comfortably to dinner every night. We honestly didn’t leave the property much since we couldn’t think of a better place to go!
Also, the homeowner was responding to every email I sent on a timely manner.

My family (4 adults and 3 kids - 7, 5 & 3) and I enjoyed spending a week on the point. The cabin was clean, had everything we needed and some additional puzzles and toys for the kids. We had perfect sweat her and beach was great for the kids— sandy bottom, no weeds and a great dock for kids to fish and jump off. The property also had canoes and boats available for use.
The owner was responsive whenever needed.
The only downsides would be the only bathroom/shower is located on the top floor and no AC. Other than that we loved the time we had on the property.

Loved this little slice of heaven and would definitely stay again !

I agree with a previous review that the recycling needs improvement and we wished we had fans since there was no AC.
On a personal note, I’m terribly afraid of snakes and there are 3 water snakes that live in the bushes along the beach area. I was too afraid to swim there .

Nice location, great water views and plenty of activities, bedrooms/beds nice, amenities fine, owners very communicative. Not as private, need better way to recycle. We'd likely rent again.

11 Grandview was everything hoped for. The location was outstanding, beautiful sandy peninsula and protected inviting water. The house itself was spotless and outfitted as well as any rental we've used. We had some rain and the porch and living room were comfortable spaces to spend extended time. The neighbors are close by as you drive in (you don't notice any neighbors from the porch or waterfront), but the neighbors that we did meet were friendly and welcoming.
All in all, an outstanding summer rental.

My family had a lovely week on Little Sebago staying at this home. The location is incredibly special - on a point surrounded by sand. Not typical for a lake property and it was just lovely. So much privacy, sand, space, and the water was clear and warm. The inside of the home has been thoughtfully stocked with everything you would need. The four bedrooms upstairs are roomy and recently renovated. It’s just what you need for a week at the lake with lots of outdoor space to enjoy. Two notes for renters with smaller kids - there is only a shower, no bath (but the lake can be the bath for the week). And the stairs to the upstairs don’t have an outside railing so you need to keep an eye on the young kids going up and down. Though otherwise I highly recommend - a very special spot!

Everything was great. Grandkids loved the beach and lake. It was convenient being close to grocery stores and restaurants. House was fully stocked with everything we needed. We look forward to staying here in the future.

We've been coming to Little Sebago Lake for 30+ years and this camp we would rate at the top of the list.
