About this apartment rental

There is no better location in the desert than a Sandpiper Condo. The saying location, location, location accurately describes the incredible amenities, (most within walking distance), surrounding beauty, the finest conveniences and the resort style living in this condo. No other location in Palm Desert compares, and you will be discover for yourself just how easy it is to rest and relax here. Not to mention world class golf and entertainment throughout the desert, making time spent here truly memorable.

Purchased in the summer of 2014, this condo has undergone a $35, 000 renovation, and is ready for guests. This condo has been redesigned with the vacationer in mind. Upon arrival, you will have the option of using a key or the electronic keypad. Once you open the doors, you’ll be greeted to brand new tile floors that were chosen to compliment the indoor/outdoor lifestyle of Sandpiper. To your right, wall to wall, floor to ceiling sliding glass doors open out to one of the two outdoor patios. Just a few steps off the patio is the large pool, complete with a real deep end!

If you choose to go left when you enter, you’ll walk into a retro dining area and a beautiful new kitchen, complete with new appliances, stainless steel back splash and stunning quartz countertops. From there one can step out onto the back patio, that features and outdoor kitchen with a Viking BBQ and side burner, sink and plenty of counter space. Eat inside or out, there is a table out back too. The automatic outdoor awning can be used at anytime, making the area seem like an extension of the home. There is also an indoor laundry area, tucked away but very convenient.

Heading straight in from the front doors takes you into a small hallway, complete with storage. Of the hallway is the master, complete with it’s own bathroom. The master bedroom has a Cal King foam mattress from Tuft and Needle. The bedroom is large and one wall is all glass leading out towards the pool. In the closet is a large dresser drawers and a TV set perfect for your streaming devise, complete with ample hanging space.

The guest room has two twin xl foam mattresses that can be converted into a Cal King sleeping arrangement. This room features a very large closet and a built in dresser drawers. Glass doors lead directly to the back patio as well.

Both bathrooms in the home have been redone, and the master retains the original design of a roman tub and shower, but fitted with all new tile. Again quartz counter tops and new fixtures are throughout. The guest bath is equally impressive with a full size shower and a combination of glass and subway tiles in the shower.

Other amenities include a 48 inch TV in the living room, a large sectional over top of a comfy shag rug, and high speed internet. Also a single garage parking spot is provided and there is plenty of visitor parking steps away.

We had a lovely week in Jeff’s Sandpiper home. The house is comfortable, (bed and linens great) and the house is nicely decorated. Really enjoyed the heated pool after a day of hiking. There are great hikes close by!

We enjoyed our stay so much - it surpassed all expectations. The condo is more like a small house, with fun midcentury decor, and very much in keeping with the Palm Springs/Palm Desert vibe. We didn't swim, but the pool was beautiful and right outside the patio door. The added bonus was the fruit trees on the property. We picked grapefruit and oranges every morning for fresh squeezed juice, which was divine. We will definitely be back!

It was such a great place to spend time in the desert for the first time with our daughter. Accessibility to the pool, relation to stores and shops and local attractions was amazing. The little welcome basket was the cherry on top. Would love to come back one day!

Great location next to everything you want or need. We went to the music festival in Indio and the beds were very comfy to come back to. It really felt like a second home. It had basically everything you could possibly need when you come to the gate. Make sure you park immediately to your left. That was the only thing that was a little confusing at first then take the sidewalk around the corner and the doors right there on the left, we really had a great experience and if we ever go back, we will definitely try and get this Vrbo again !!

Overall this unit was a perfect place to stay. Access to grapefruit, orange, and lemon trees each morning was exceptional! We were four friends sharing, two of which were a couple. So having three beds worked perfectly. It was a short walking distance to restaurants and shops. This unit would work for a friends get-away or for a family. Two thumbs up!

This is the second time we have stayed at this condo. Jeff and Donna are always very nice. The location is very very quiet. It’s a pod with condo surrounding a central pool and most of the time, in fact all except one day, we were the only ones in the pool. Very quiet and peaceful. If you’re looking for somewhere just to soak in the sun and take a dip in the pool, and stay at a cool mid century modern place that’s really close to everything, this is the place for you.

What a great place! I appreciated the host and his communication. He used the VRBO comm tools but he also sent me a text a few days before check in so I’d have his number. He replied quickly and took care of any questions/problems we had! Perfect! The condo was super clean. I usually feel like I have to clean when I get to a rental but not here. The WiFi worked well. I had class work and some work zoom meetings and it was fine. The kitchen was well equipped. The Sandpiper location is great - you can walk to many places - and the pool is very nice. The condo was a little hard to find the first time - park in the first spots in driveway D and walk along the sidewalk to the green doors. Can’t wait to return!

Incredibly clean overall. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed including spices, coffee filters, etc. The beds were amazingly comfortable. Pool was perfect.... very quiet and relaxing during our stay. There are citrus fruit trees on the property (grapefruit, lemons, limes, oranges) for the picking. The location can't be beat.... very close to boutique shopping, grocery store right across the street, many restaurants within walking distance, hiking trails about a mile or two away.

Four of us ladies stayed here during the Indian Wells tournament. It was a smooth arrival, very clean, updated, decorated well, super comfortable beds, incredible location next to restaurants and shops and owners were super helpful when we thought we left something behind. This was our first stay anywhere in more than a year due to COVID so we took a long time deciding on a place for a relaxing long weekend. This condo unit at the Sandpiper deVelopment was a great match. The place was in great condition when we arrived and had everything needed for a restful stay. We didn’t need our car to get to shopping and restaurants. Everything you need is within walking distance.The unit was steps away from the pool which was empty for the most part. The grounds were gorgeous and full of the most immaculately cared for citrus trees I’d ever seen. We picked oranges and grapefruit every day for juice and snacking. The beds were really comfy and the water pressure in the shower was great.Jeff was very responsive and great to work with. He answered all of our questions promptly and even had a basket of snacks on the table when we arrived. That was a lifesaver after getting in late when most stores were closed. I see repeat trips to the area in our future and this unit is at the top of lodging options. Can’t wait to come back.

Jeff and Donna's Sandpiper condo is the ultimate mid-century vacation spot, and we had the most relaxing and fun stay. The kitchen is beyond well-stocked, the beds are soooo comfy, and the Sandpiper condo experience as a whole was delightful. I’ve always wanted to stay at the historic Sandpiper and it did not disappoint. The layout, pool, fruit trees, views and proximity to El Paseo are all terrific. This unit is well-stocked with everything you need and the master bed is extremely comfortable. My kids and I really enjoyed our stay and would love to return!
