Surrounded by lush overhanging branches amongst the thick trunks of Ponderosa Pine and Douglas Firs, the Little Wolf Den is the ultimate escape from reality. Because this A-frame cabin is built on a small bluff and overlooks the Peshastin Creek amongst a gorgeous tree canopy, many guests have described the feel of our cabin like staying in a magical tree house. Thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows, the ever-changing scenery of wildlife and seasons can all be enjoyed right from the comfort of your living room. This ski cabin was constructed in 1968 to stay warm during the coldest of winters and is one of the original cabins built in the area. The cabin’s rustic character has been carefully preserved, while striking a balance with modern upgrades and contemporary improvements.

In late summer the river is perfect for soaking your feet and cooling off. We also have several picnic tables around our property for enjoying homecooked meals while taking in views and sounds of the river.
WINTER
When winter arrives, the trail down to the river becomes our famous sledding hill, where you can bring your own sleds or use the ones we provide. We also offer snowshoe rentals ($10) so you and your family can explore our property and the famous Ingall’s Creek Trail only minutes away. Never snowshoed before? That’s ok, you will find a snowhoeing book in your cabin for beginners to advanced and every rental comes with a free lesson.❄️ Although our driveway is quickly plowed after each snowstorm, vehicles with AWD are strongly recommended during the winter season.
LOCAL AMENITIES
We are one block from the neighborhood community playground where you will find swings, slides, picnic tables, a basketball court and baseball diamond. You will also have access to a spring-fed swimming pond during the summer months. As mentioned we are five minutes from the famous Ingall's Creek Trail which is excellent for scenic hiking, snowshoeing and horseback riding. At the trail's end you will find breathtaking Lake Ingall's and the base of Mount Stuart.
Your cabin is just a short drive away from 97 Rock House, which is a popular spot to enjoy a variety of hand crafted coffee drinks (espresso beans are roasted on site and in small batches), local draft beer, hand-spun milk shakes, breakfast/lunch and they are also pet friendly. (Open 8-5pm daily). During the summer they have live performances by local musicians.
*NOTE* This cabin is perfectly designed to be small and cozy, but also have everything you need to both live and work comfortably. A majority of our guests are couples or families with children. This cabin can easily accommodate two couples, but it will be on the cozy side. Ladder-like stairs lead to the loft bedroom. Also, access to the bathroom is through the downstairs bedroom, so keep that in mind for any nighttime restroom needs. If you are elderly or have any mobility issues these notes might be good to consider.
Looking to have a more private couples getaway with your friends or have a larger family? Rent both of our cabins! The other cabin is just a short walk away, but each cabin has it's own complete privacy. The listing number for the other cabin is VRBO 124353 (Nordic Pine).

Sherry and John are so friendly and have made sure to take care of every small detail to make our stay super comfortable! Sherry provided so many tips for places to eat and visit. The cabin itself is so charming and comfortable. My family had a wonderful time and we will be back!

Firstly- as a former Housekeeping Manager for Omni Hotels, I was impressed with the cleanliness of this property. Sherry had such lovely attention to detail - kitchen tools, coffee and supplies, clean towels and new sponges. Not to mention games, DVDs, river chairs and binoculars! It was wonderful. Her son came to greet us as soon as we pulled up, and shared lots of great history about the property and local hot spots to visit. The river was COLD, but so calming and beautiful. AMAZING!

Peaceful quiet retreat close to Leavenworth, Cashmere and Wenatchee. Fantastic hosts who ensure that anything you may need is readily available. And the beds are so so comfortable. Absolutely recommend if you are looking to rest, relax and just breathe.

Super clean which is very important. Hosts were great, easy to talk to and loved all the small details they offered. Little effort really shines. Beds and pillows were comfy, a.c. units huge bonus in 100+ heatwave. Played in the river, ate and drank. Too short of a stay so we hope to be back again soon! Thank you!

Everything at the cabin was perfect, when we arrived there were dog treats for our pups and goodies for us to enjoy. It is a quick walk to the creek where you can sit and relax for hours. The owners are super friendly as well, can't wait for our next stay. 😀

This was an absolutely delightful experience for my daughter and myself. The hosts were so helpful and friendly. Available but never in the way. The beds were amazingly comfortable. And there was so much attention given to think of things that would be helpful/useful, etc that made our
stay so great.

It was the perfect place for the kids and I to have some down time as a family this summer. We were welcomed when we arrived and had more than we could have needed during our stay. The pups were excited about the treats left for them as well.

I only have wonderful things to say about the property, host, and experience overall. Everything was very clean, welcoming, safe, and exactly as listed on the site. Our kids and dog had so much fun with the private river access and fun loft room in the cabin. The kids enjoyed all the games provided. The beds were very comfortable. As a family it was full of great new memories:)! We will stay again in the future:)

Place was super cute and clean. Check-in was a breeze and the owner greeted us with property details and great recommendations. Loved the little treats they left for us and our dog. We all loved hanging out by/in the water. Trek into Leavenworth was not bad at all. We're thinking of returning to see what it's like in the snowy months.

I had a wonderful stay at Sherry's place. The attention to detail was noticeable throughout. Dog treats on the counter, lots of places to charge your electronics, etc. The bed and pillows were maybe the best I've slept in for a rental like this. I loved hearing the creek from the balcony and having shoreline access was so delightful. I wish I had stayed longer, hope to stay here again and cannot recommend it enough. The owners stopped by soon after I arrived and were so friendly but not intrusive. Exactly what I want from a host!

We had a wonderful stay! We brought our small dog, Henry. It was his first vacation, and he also had a blast! The cabin was so nice and had a great view of the river. The chairs by the river were peaceful. The hosts were wonderful people and went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed, including baked dog biscuits for Henry. The small touches went a long way! We are already planning our next visit.

What an amazing little cabin right outside of Leavenworth. My mom and I had the most enjoyable time here for her Birthday. Sherry was so kind and accommodating to us and all three dogs. The cabin is just adorable and the sound of the creek nearby could not have made our stay more perfect. Very cozy little place and the beds were the most comfortable beds ever. Thank you Sherry for letting us stay at your little paradise!

Mother’s Day weekend stay for a family of 3 + 2 dogs. We were very pleased with the location, the cabin and the owners. The cabin is exactly as described in listing. Small, cozy and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Very thoughtful execution at every nook and cranny by the owners. This location is beautiful and serene with lots of exploring to do. We enjoyed the river directly on property, swimming pond and park within walking distance up the street, quick drive to Leavenworth and much more. Would stay here again and definitely recommend to friends. Thank you!!

We loved our stay at this cozy cabin! The location is perfect - notched into the mountains with a river just below. And the hosts were amazing, too. We were welcomed upon arrival and they were easy to reach and quick to respond to any questions we had. The treats for humans and pups, along with a personal note, were a really nice touch. The cabin had everything we needed for our quiet stay, including comfy furniture and beds, TVs and fast Internet, plenty of books and movies, cupboards and drawers filled with dishes, cups, silverware, pots and pans ... we even found coffee and pancake mix! And it was so fun to see bowls set out for our dogs - totally unexpected. All to say, we loved our time there and can't wait for our next stay. We have so much more to explore!

I booked Sherry’s cabin for a weekend getaway with my husband, and it could have been more beautiful! We were created by the sparkling juice and a welcome note. Sherry and her son were beyond friendly as helpful. Check in and check out were smooth and simple. Cabin was pristine. We could not have asked for a more perfect stay!

This is a wonderfully cozy cabin, perfect for the two of us. We met the gracious owner and her son on arrival, and they showed us the easy trail to the riverfront, where there are two chairs for relaxing. Inside we were greeted by a personal note and a bottle of sparkling cider, which was a nice touch that made us feel very welcome. The cabin was very clean and well appointed. There was nothing that we needed that was not supplied. The deck overlooking the river was my favorite spot for just relaxing. To sum up, wonderful hosts and a great cabin.

This cute cabin was a perfect cozy stay for my husband and I and our Alaskan Malamute. Our dog Kai loved the treats, dog gate to keep him on the deck and the little trail leading down to the water. We enjoyed sitting on the deck with the sound of the water below. It was the most relaxing stay, we will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our short stay in this cozy and comfortable cabin. It's small but the owners have added a lot of nice touches to make it very comfortable. Loved the wood burning stove and the beds are extremely comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. The view of the river is unbeatable. Just a short drive to Leavenworth and away from the crowds of the town. We're looking forward to a return trip.

Had a great time in Peshastin at this cabin! It’s difficult think of a more beautiful place in the winter. Whether we were visiting downtown Leavenworth, taking the short snow shoe journey to the river, or just building and sitting by the fire inside, Sherry and John went above and beyond with accommodations. My wife, the puppy, and I enjoyed our time here and left very relaxed. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a scenic place to enjoy a weekend!

Beautiful area and the best hosts! Available and happy to help answer any questions you might have. They go above and beyond in their hosting.
Example: shared great snowshoeing trail nearby and shoveled path through snowplow bank for my young son to easily pass through.
Who does that?
Thank you!

We loved our stay at this cabin! It was even better than we had anticipated. It was cozy, clean, conveniently located, and prepped with every type of kitchen dish and nighttime game we could have hoped for. It was very clear that the host wanted to create a space where memories could be made and relaxation could happen. We definitely plan to return!

Wonderful place to stay near Leavenworth. The cabin is cozy, the hosts are friendly, and the property has so much potential for adventures. The only negative for me is that quarters are a little cramped in the cabin, but the listing is up front about that.

Came for the thanksgiving long weekend with husband and cat in tow. The cabin was exactly what we had been hoping for and needed. It was well equipped, the location was very quiet and close proximity to a great cafe and towns to explore without driving too far. The wood burning fireplace kept the cabin toasty day and night. Our cat loved exploring the cabin and watching the turkeys in the tree. Sherry and John were so lovely in every interaction we had with them. Would absolutely recommend.

We have been staying in one or another of Sheri's cabins for many years now. We go back every year in October for the Wenatchee Kennel Club dog shows. As long as we continue to return to the area we will always stay at Sheri's Alpine Chalet.

Welcoming place to stay, really appreciated the simple hospitalities and comfortable atmosphere. We had a big hike planned and wanted a place nearby to stay so that we did not need to drive far before or after. Lucky we found such a cute place nearby. The hosts were wonderful and helpful. The accomodations are simple and comfortable (appreciated the variety of pillow softness), bedding was clean and comfortable, and the wi-fi worked well.
