About this cottage rental

This Florida cottage is a converted shrimp house. The decor is tropical with tile floors and ceiling fans. This 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom (shower, no tub) air conditioned cottage is well -furnished and sleeps only 2.
The quaint cottage is on Cow Creek overlooking a small bay. Manatees, dolphins and many water fowl frequent the area. Enjoy your coffee from the waterfront seating area. Fishing is available from the attached floating dock. Mullet, jacks, snapper sheephead are in the creek. The creek is tidal and his spring feed, and that attracts the manatees. The manatees go by the cottage daily and it is a short paddle up to the springs where they hang out. If you bring your flats boat, Red fish, snook and trout fishing areas are both north and south. Grouper, grunts, hogfish and cobia are west. Coopers Bait Shop is next door. The Gulf Waters of Hudson are shallow and typically offer protection from high surf conditions, making it ideal for kayaking and canoeing.. There are many artificial and natural reefs for fishing and diving off Hudson . The creek is tidal and it is to shallow at low tide to get a boat out. The boat ramp is less than a mile away and is not constrained by the tide.
Users of kayaks or canoes are responsible for the safety of all those in his or her craft. Operation of the kayak or canoe is solely at the operator's own risk. Paddles and life jackets are provided.

We fell in love with this little corky cottage on our 1st stay. Small home and air unitl worked fine in the Florida heat-bearable. The bed is not the most comfortable but we learn to bring our pillows, but this last time there was a loud window unit added in the bedroom and the wall unit in the livingroom was not working . It was a rough stay... we could not sleep in the room becuase of how the loud window unit was and the heat was unbearable in the living room. I was very sad with our mini weekend vacation. I hope they get the air conditioning situation corrected. working

This is the second time staying here. It is so comfortable and charming. The creek is peaceful and spending any moment on the dock was the highlight for me. Plenty of extras including kayaks, towels, fishing gear, and of course coffee! In town but doesn't give the busy town feel. Perfect location for beaches, hiking or any other outdoor activity in FL you have planned. My sister and I will be back again! Excellent hosts.

The property is enough for 2 people. It is well kept. Right on the water. Owners property is next door, but it still feels somewhat secluded compared to other rentals we have seen available. Short distance to grocery stores and other businesses.

Cozy cottage on the water. Great history info on the quaint 1 bdrm getaway. Really enjoyed the canoe trip out to the Gulf of Mexico. We plan on going again and would definitely recommend for a couple looking for some alone time.

Looks a little run down , look through that and enjoy how close you are to the creek and waterways. Everything is fine that is supplied, a little dated but fits in with the cottage, bar 200yds away not for everyone but very convenient. Got a few bites from insects but that was expected overall nice place !!

It was the perfect place to stay wonderful setting, cute cottage and loved the veranda and dock at waterside . It was nice to go for paddles in rhe canoe. Caught a few fish and saw some manatees and 2 porpoises . And the hosts chuck and jarri were welcoming and helpful!! Loved it all

I've stayed here a few times. I love it here. Between Hudson Beach, The Lift Adventure Park, and the Manatees, I feel like I'm in heaven. Multiple kayaks are available for paddling up & down Bull Creek and manatee sightings are frequent.

This was my second time there, and it was every bit as good as the first. It is a very peaceful and restful property. Just sitting on the back dock is amazing. The cottage has everything you need. The neighborhood is nice and has some nice local bars and restaurants. Had a great time hope to be back!!

Cow Creek Cottage was a perfect getaway! All I wanted was some warmer weather, relaxation and fishing, and this trip did not disappoint! I highly recommend this place and I am honestly reluctant to say too many nice things because I would hate for it to get too busy for me to visit and stay again! Absolutely LOVED it!

Older property but very cool I could live there....it was everything I expected from their listing.and more..perfect restful retreat with hudson beach nearby...Sam's bar atbeach was alot of fun...hostess jarry was very outgoing and helpful....I wish I had booked it longer than a weekend I really loved it

If you are fortunate enough to have come across this place in your search, dont hesitate to book! Photos accurately present the cottage both inside and out. 3 nices places to lounge: inside, on the porch, and on the dock, with excellent furniture. So much wildlife to watch. We saw some beautiful sunsets! Lots to do within walking distance. Jarry and Chuck are great hosts, offering us some great suggestions on places to go and eat. Definitely a 10 out of 10. It was nice to have the washer and dryer, and extra fridge as well.

The cottage was just what I needed! The location was perfect for me. The back porch was the perfect place to relax morning, afternoon, and evening. The canal was a very busy place…fish, ducks, ibis…. Always something to see! Looking forward to a return visit.

This is one of my favorite getaways. Perfect for a single guy from Ohio on a working vacation trying to get a few extra days of that summer weather. I love hanging out on the dock, kayaking with the manatee, and wake-boarding at the Lift Adventure Park. I'll definitely be back.

Great cottage with everything you could possibly need. Enjoyed our stay and the porch and deck along the water was so relaxing to sit and have our morning coffee. Why stay in a hotel when you can have a whole place to yourself with great views and it’s cheaper!

Cow Creek Cottage is a wonderful little hideaway that is a stone’s throw away from just about every modern shopping convenience. Comfortable and cozy, the Cottage is fully stocked, every drawer and cabinet brimming. Two large tvs provide excellent viewing. Watch the sun set or drop a fish line off the dock at the back door. A full complement of fishing rods and tackle are available in the rear carport. I caught and released five different kinds of fish and some blue claw crabs. I did save one jumbo crab for dinner. My constant companion was a stately blue heron who watched my every move. The Creek is alive with activity… fish splashing, ducks quacking, birds yakking. Occasionally a dolphin glides by. Kayaks at hand for exploring the nearby waters. The hosts, Chuck and Jarry, live next door and were instantaneously available and responsive. Overall, a very relaxing, satisfying week.

Tranquil, yet with easy access to restaurants and shopping. Hosts were very friendly and accomidating. No need to get bored... Two large tvs, with lots of books, magazines and board games to keep you entertained.

This little cottage has just about anything you'd need at home. There was much thought into a lot of household items. It was too warm to sit outside for any length of time but such a sweet little view of the Cow Creek canal. Wished we could have seen other than the few ducks too but didn't stay out long enough to try to catch a glimpse as we were busy with wedding activities. We did not have a chance to meet Chuck; however, Miss Jarry was very nice and gave great recommendations on area restaurants, local Hudson beach area just two blocks away to watch their beautiful sunsets, near ice cream shop and close bait shack should you be able to take advantage of using supplied fishing poles and tackle. Easy to get to and from. Nice little spot. Thankful to have such a pleasant host!

The best equipped rental ever! The attention to detail was apparent throughout the cottage right down to the charming decor. Family issues cut my stay short, but i hope to remedy that on my next visit..Also super clean !!

My husband and I stayed at the cottage for 4 nights and we couldn’t be more happier. The cottage was nice and clean, checking in was easy. The bed and the rest of the furnishings were comfortable. The dock was nice and big with the beautiful view of the canal with an old Florida feel. We saw 3 manatees 😁 and lots of wildlife. We had a pleasure to meet with Chuck the owner, he’s so nice and very informative. Thank you so much. We’re enjoying our stay.

Came down a day after my first wedding. I wanted a place to enjoy an older florida like i grew up in and let me tell you i was not disappointed in anyway. Just a perfect little Florida river cottage. We fish so it was perfect!! To Jerry&Chuck you guys are so welcoming and warm dont ever change ever. We hope your mopar trip was a great one! Its been a couple weeks now and i still miss being there. Packing up was very hard and to be honest didnt want to one bit.

Great location and house. Chuck and Jerry were so nice and informative. Didn't see any Manatees but I think that was our fault for running around to all the local beaches. But we did see a dolphin right off the back deck!
