We arrived to a clean and organized home. Plenty of room for our family. Kitchen was stocked pretty well. Oils and seasonings aplenty. There was loads of clean towels and beds were clean. Tons of sitting space in every room to relax and listen to the ocean, some friends stopped by for dinner and the beach, we truly enjoyed this home. We would definitely visit again!

This is our second stay. Great place for family. If you are looking for marble and gold, this is not your place. If you are looking for homey and relaxing, this is it. Thank you all - see you next year!

This place was amazing! Incredible views of the pacific, peaceful, and an easy walk to great food, coffee and smoothies.

We had a great time at this beautiful house. The back patio overlooking the beach is amazing - we spent a majority of our time at the house out back. House itself is cozy and met our needs perfectly. Will definitely stay here again.

Our group loves this space. Always very clean. Has everything you need in the kitchen. Views are incredible from the deck and wonderful from the sunroom! If I wanted to be really picky I’d say that the mattresses could use an update. But I’m not that hard to please. 😉

Beautiful, classic Encinitas home. For some might be a bit dated in the wood paneling and all but we loved the authenticity and sounds of a subtle crashing ocean day and night. Eileen was amazingly responsive in coordinating our stay both before and during, you will not be left on your own if there are any questions or issues. Take note of the bedrooms and their layouts as we misinterpreted them based on the pictures and had to make some adjustments from our original plans but it all worked out perfectly. Perfect in-between spot from the sights in San Diego to places in LA (went to Universal Studios and Hollywood) made travel very easy to what we wanted to enjoy. Will love to stay there again on future trips to San Diego!

Perfect location in north county coastal San Diego. We really enjoyed our stay here and it is close to all things.

Great location, awesome views from the deck (saw dolphins every morning) and a perfect place for our family vacation in Encinitas.

This is a very nice home on a bluff overlooking the ocean in the cool beach town of Encinitas. There is a lovely sun room with great views. And a deck with lots of chairs to sit on and a hot tub -- all with even greater views. The home is nicely and comfortably furnished and the kitchen is very well stocked. Being former residents of north county San Diego, we are familiar with many homes in the area. And many of them have a sleek modern look. But this home has many charming period pieces. It's kind of like staying in your grandma's house -- if your grandma had a multi-million dollar home on the ocean! And one final note: communication with the property manager was excellent.

The property was as advertised. Breathtaking views of the ocean and sunsets. So close to the beach and water. It really is paradise. Great communication with the host. We will be back!

The best aspect is the location and amazing views - can’t be beat! The very large patio with extensive seating combined with the sunroom and living room made this the perfect place to be. If the weather was cold, don’t fret - you can move indoors and still have the same amazing view. And it is 3 houses down from beach access. While it may not be as new as other locations, it was clean, had all the amenities we needed, was comfortable and was truly relaxing and paradise. We definitely did not want to leave.

The property had everything you could possibly need including a well stocked kitchen with all the utensils you would want at home. The BBQ was not top of the line but functional and new. There was a shed full of beach toys and the deck was amazing with all the up-to-date outside furniture that you could want to enjoy the amazing whitewater view. The bedrooms were large, especially the master, however very dark for a beach house. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return in the future.

What a wonderful and relaxing stay at this home. The view is spectacular! Comfy beds, and loads of offers. The local town is wonderful, and the people who live in the town are so friendly and warm. What a different and special place this is. I would definitely return, anytime!

This was our second stay here, and we love this place. The crux of this house is the view from the back patio. It’s stunning. You’re right on the ocean and can watch dolphins leap out of the water with your morning coffee. The hot tub is amazing to come back to after a day at the beach. The inside of the house is a cozy, woodsy cabin. It could use some updates, sure, but you’ll spend the majority of your time looking at the ocean anyway. Our kids loved the bunk beds and the beach toys.

We love staying in this house right on the bluff overlooking the beach and ocean! We spend lots of time in the sun room. We love opening the windows to feel the ocean breeze and hear the waves crashing on the shore. All of us enjoyed watching the dolphins play every day right in front of the house. The house is clean and has a very functional kitchen and plenty of beds for our family of 5. This was our second time staying in this house, and we hope to come again.

Chose this one for the view. Loved being able to look out and see only the ocean and sky. Interesting eclectic vintage decor. The hall mirror does take getting used to. My sister-in-law and I were very happy and enjoyed ourselves. It was comfortable and we felt safe. Did have to walk to Moonlight Beach to access the water as the stone steps were closed due to repairs. But we had a great time! Family members in the area dropped by and were excited they were able to spot dophins in the water below. Just wish there had been more than one roll of paper towels and an extra trash bag liner as we had to recycle the one provided. Would definitely stay here again!

this is the third home my friends and I have stayed in on the leucadia/encinitas coastline after having been spoiled by a fourth home which we’d rented privately for 20 years.
we found the house to be pristine—not one yuck factor. as others have mentioned the interior is a bit dated with its dark wood paneling—but frankly we all found it to be cozy; feeling like you were in a mountain cabin in one area and quite literally at the edge of the world in the sunroom or on the lovely deck. there is plenty of comfortable contemporary seating.
ultimately we all agreed it is a keeper!

I would love to come back when it's warmer because the view is amazing and the deck is huge. The house could use some upgrades, but the neighborhood, deck, and view make up for that. I would stay here again.

We had a fabulous time in this wonderful home with an amazing view of the ocean!!! We were treated to dolphins swimming and playing in the waters right behind the house on several occasions. The home is surprisingly spacious and very well equipped. We lacked for nothing! The host and managers were remarkably gracious and the communication was excellent. We would LOVE to return to this beautiful ocean-front gem!

The home is nice but showing its age with items like beach towels, bathroom rugs, and linens needing some updating, along with some areas needing deep cleaning and replacements.
The windows in the prized sunroom were very dirty when we arrived. The TV in living room was not large, but smaller than shown in pictures. We could only get one of the comfortable recliners to recline.
The beds and sheets were very comfortable, and the kitchen was very well stocked, along with provided paper towels and soaps…which is always appreciated. BBQ was new and worked great.
Dolphins were out every day and we were gifted with two solid hours of whale watching from the lovely deck.
Neighborhood is wonderful with restaurants within walking distance.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stormy New Year's escape, especially sitting in the spa during a downpour overlooking the angry sea. Warming up in front of the fire was pretty great, too. When the skies cleared we found the walk to downtown for browsing and dining very enjoyable. Communications was easy and accomplished electronically without any need for follow-up questions. We would definitely stay here again!

The house is ok inside, but has an amazing view. Pretty well stocked. Million dollar view, walkable to many restaurants.

Can't wait to go back - my 3 friends and I stayed here for a weekend together. The house definitely could have accommodated more but we enjoyed the space. The house is dated but I almost found that to be part of the charm. Can't wait to come back.

We hit the jackpot with this jewel of a place. The view was incredible, and we enjoyed hanging out on the deck. The location to the water and downtown Encinitas was also fantastic. Highly recommend this place!

View and location can't be beat!
Our 30 days stay went so fast. Ocean views, wonderful little town of Encinitas much of which is within walking distance, and close proximity to the best beaches on the coast and marinas. The house is roomy and comfortable with a well-furnished kitchen, excellent laundry setup. We especially loved the roomy wrap around deck, and sun room for relaxing and reading. Eileen was great with helping us get settled in and responding to our questions. We plan on coming back next year, this place has it all.

Graduation Location!
We had an amazing time at the Beach House! Are only problem, we were hardly there. Graduation from UCSD was time consuming, but the views and pictures are worth the spend! Good times!

Great Location with Fantastic Views
We absolutely loved staying here. It was an incredible experience having the ocean right off of the balcony. Nobody wanted to leave when it was time to checkout.

What a view!
This property is spacious and nice, but it is really about the view of the ocean and sounds of the surf! The deck is nice and spacious with plenty of seating. We could sit there for hours watching the surfers and boats out in the ocean. However it was a little chilly when we were there (June gloom), so we also enjoyed sitting in the sunroom with floor to ceiling windows on three sides. In the sunroom, by opening a couple of the large, screened in windows, we could view and hear the ocean just like if we were sitting on the deck but stay warmer without the stiff ocean breeze. The sun room was a fantastic place to enjoy a good book while listening to the ocean waves crashing the shore. We also enjoyed using the beach chairs, beach toys, and boogie boards when we would walk down to Moonlight Beach! Thanks for sharing those with us so that we didn’t have to bring our own. We would love to stay here again. It is a great place for couples, families, or even a girls trip!
