About this house rental

This charming 3/2.5 contains two rooms with full/queen beds and one room with two twin beds. The home is completely furnished. Everything a hotel would have in a room is supplied. Fresh towels, coffee, all the cooking and eating utensil are there. All you need is your clothes! Each room has a TV with cable and WiFi is available.

Nestled in a golf course community, Plum Creek is located 20 minutes from historic downtown 6th street in Austin. It is 10 minutes from the square and nationally recognized outlet malls in San Marcos. If hill country tour is your delight, Plum Creek is 15 minutes for the notorious antique and country living of Wimberley, Texas.

If watching car racing is your hobby, The Circuit of America’s race track is an easy 15-20 minutes drive on the Texas 130 toll. Enjoy the live action event and return home with your friends to continue the festivities.

The property was close to the wedding venue where my daughter got married. I appreciated the washer and dryer and the kitchen had everything we needed.

The master bed needs to be replaced. Platform bed with the supports broken and replaced with plywood. We stay here every time we come into Kyle. We notice a decline in the upkeep . Shower in master has mold ..redoing the caulking would be a great improvement.

The house itself was pretty nice and well decorated. The owner let us check in early which we appreciated so much! There was, however, a dead roach on the floor and food remnants in the kitchen sink drain. I understand bugs come out when houses aren't occupied so no big deal. The a/c didn't work when we arrived and still didn't work 6 hours later when we came back from our event so we weren't actually able to stay in the house. The owner replied to my messages through the VRBO app somewhat in a timely manner but refused to call me when the situation became emergent with us needing to find a new place to stay the night. The listing title says "Private Home w/ Hotel Accommodations" and the description boasts "All you need is your clothes!" so we took that to mean they provided toiletries, but there were none. The downstairs bathroom didn't have any hand towels which was just inconvenient . The owner said she would refund our money because of the a/c issue. Our 'stay' was 6 days ago and I haven't heard from her as of the writing of this review.

Overall the property was pretty much what was described. TV worked but could not hook up to the internet even after contacting the host and her checking with the provider. The dishwasher did not work (found out as we were preparing to depart after two night stay), Also, both garbage cans outside were full and obviously had not been put out for pick-up for an extended period. Location was convenient to the wedding venue and provided ample room and beds for our crew. Overall the property served our needs and saved $'s verses staying at a hotel,

Had some issues and the property owner addressed them. However I was very disappointed in the master bed…it leans more on right side just making it uncomfortable to sleep, the oven smelled when I turned it on, she (property owner) addressed the trash but it was just gross pulling up to the house and trash is spewing over. Checked out a couple of days earlier than scheduled. The house is beautiful but just needs some work.

Hair in the tub and both showers. Dirty carpet. damp towels in the cabinet. Musty bed linens over a dirty mattress. We got in late enough at night that we didn’t have a choice but to stay. But boy I learned my lesson with that. This host and VRBO did nothing to rectify the situation. The host didn’t seem worried in the least bit that she’s not cleaning between guests and renting a dirty house to people. Thoroughly disappointed and disgusted with this host and VRBO.

The property was very clean and close to the Winfield Inn where we were attending a wedding, The front door key button pad wasn’t working when we checked in because it appears the battery was dead but side entry worked just fine, There is a two car garage but this was unusable due to a broken door. There was no shampoo or shower soap which was disappointing but Walgreens was just a short walk down the road. Also, the living room was quite small sporting only a love seat and single chair which didn’t work well for 6 adults but a few of us camped out on the floor and made it work. . All in all it was a very pleasant stay,

The Dishes and appliances were dirty. The mattresses were very uncomfortable. The house was very nice and in a perfect location to visit family and enjoy Austin, San Marcos and New Braunfels.

My 4 sisters and I were travelling from Dallas to South Padre Island and stopped at this house for one night to break up the drive. It was a great place to stay and much cheaper and nicer than 2 hotel rooms.

Spent a few days in San Marcos and Austin area so this was the perfect base camp location. We were 15-20 minutes from almost everything we wanted to do.

We were very happy to stay here had everything we needed and it was clean. We ended up calling the property manager and we requested one more day and she helped us. Was also very happy it had a washer and dryer.

Nice quiet neighborhood. Townhouse that seems newly renovated. Bedrooms all upstairs enough combination for 6 people at least. Very clean. Came with essentials. Good communication with owner. Not far from stores, attractions, and restaurants. Would book again.
