The apartment was ideal for us in its location and well thought out attention to detail.
A stream just outside where you can sit with a glass of wine and paddle your feet in the crystal clear water.3 min walk to all the restaurants and bars.

It was fun to meet Christine and her introduction to the apartment and the city was wonderful. The very clean apartment is so comfortable with every amenity needed.
The apartment is right next to a canal and we enjoyed sitting on a bench watching the Water Wheel. The walk to the lovely old town is about 5 minutes.
The City was our favorite of the 4 we visited. The restaurants are excellent and the Sunday Market is truly an unbelievable event.
We would go back for sure!

Christine and Thierry’s apartment was the perfect home during our stay. Our hosts went out of their way to ensure everything worked perfectly. Christine came to visit us upon our arrival to explain the apartment as well as local activities. The apartment was clean and accurate to the VRBO description. The kitchen was well appointed, allowing home cooked meals. A small washer and dryer made laundry super easy. It’s small, so just be careful not to overload it. A huge bonus is the free parking just across the river. It made our daily excursions easy and stress free. L’isle Sur La Sorgue is lovely. Much authentic Provencial experiences within the town but never feeling touristy. We loved our stay and Christine and Thierry were perfect hosts!

We loved l’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue! And we loved this apartment. Hosts Christine and Thierry were most helpful with hints about enjoying both. We’ll definitely plan on returning.

We enjoyed the quiet location and ease of parking (free) for this location on the north side of town. The owner met us on arrival and supplied a lot of information. The town's Thursday Market was lovely! We are clean freaks, & would've given it 5 stars, but the floor cleaning must've been missed.

Thanks very much to hosts, Christina & Thierry who met us at the apartment. They were lovely, friendly and helpful. Property was everything we could have asked for. Although had all the modern conveniences that we needed, it also had the character of the area that we wanted. Lovely apartment, great location, highly recommended. Christuna & Thierry, a note of thanks to you both for being lovely and thoughful hosts and providing us with a beautiful traditional apartment. Sorry not able to send a private note as continuing issues with our email. We hope to return.

We really enjoyed our 6-night stay in this wonderful apartment. It was a perfect base and we loved coming back to the small-town feel of Sorgues after our busy day trips. Christine meet with us on arrival and showed us the layout of the apartment and gave great advice about local attractions. Thoroughly recommend this property.

The location in Lisle sur la Sorgue could not be better. We were within a few minutes walk of every restaurant and shop in the old city. We checked in with Christine who was very nice but only speaks French. I could understand enough of what she said from my limited French but my husband couldn’t. We understand that property managers don’t need to speak English but a few phrases or words would help. The biggest disappointment in the rental is not their fault but ours. We didn’t notice online that there was no a/c and it was unusually hot and humid for October. Christine suggested we open the windows for cross ventilation which we tried the first night. Unfortunately it was an unusual season for mosquitoes and i was eaten alive. After that no windows were opened. Finally we asked Christine for a fan which she promptly brought us and saved the day. The rental was suppose to include once a week linen change. After the first week when no one came, we changed the sheets and washed them ourselves. Christine did offer to change them but two days after we already did it and never offered again. Upon check out we were asked to wash all the dishes and put them back in the cabinets as well as to take out all the garbage and recycles. Don’t understand if you pay for cleaning why you would have to do these things especially when you’re trying to get packed and out of there to catch a train. I know I must sound like I’m nitpicking but we have a rental house and always make sure the renter doesn’t have to do anything. And always include a bottle of wine and a basket of goodies at check in. Not necessary but a nice gesture. The apartment itself, while small, met all our needs - plenty of utensils and pots and pans for cooking. And the most adorable single drawer dishwasher which was perfect for two people. Best of all it had a washer which is suppose to dry too but we didn’t use the dryer part.

The lovely host, Christine picked us up at the train station when we arrived. The apartment is one floor up in a very clean and well appointed building, you can walk to anything from here. The train station is actually only a 10 minute walk away. Bed was very big and super comfortable and the shower was great. All in all a very nice place to stay.

Venice of the south
We spent 3 nights in Ilse sur la Sorgue and were not disappointed. The location was perfect, with restaurants and shops all within a few minutes walking distance. The location on the canal led to quiet moments of reading on the bench as a break from shopping and eating. Check-in was great, and Thierry kindly met us at the train station. The apartment had everything we needed and was well-equipped. We will stay there again we we visit Sorgue. Thank you Thierry and Christine.

L'Isle-sur- la Sorgue Apartment
We had an excellent stay at this charming, clean, well equipped and organized apartment. It has every convenience and appliance. I love the Senseo coffeemaker with large supply of docettes.
The hosts were attentive and accommodating. On the street side we had windows overlooking a waterwheel on the canal. On the courtyard side was lots of light and a preschool. It was peaceful at night and we slept well with the comfortable bed and nice linens and double pillows. The location is perfect and you can walk everywhere. We were on a bike tour and the apartment is also a perfect base for riding out to Gordes, Avignon or the source of the Sorgue.
I highly recommend this apartment and these hosts. A very good value.

A perfect apartment in L'isle sur la Sorgue
This was a perfect apartment for our stay in L'isle sur la Sorgue. Although fairly small it was very comfortable and extremely well appointed. The location was quiet - right beside the river where ducks could be seen beside the water-wheel and we always found a parking place within a few yards.
Christine and Thierry were thoughtful and helpful before and during our stay, even leaving bottles of water and wine in the fridge for our arrival. We loved the town and the surrounding area and already plan to return - hopefully to this apartment which was a home from home. Thank you Christine and Thierry.

Lovely apartment
Christine property owner met us on arrival and provided us with all the necessary information for our stay. The apartment has all the mod cons, with little extras provided. e.g. shower gel, laundry soap, cooking oil, bottled water etc.
It is in a quiet, ideal spot, within easy walking distance to restaurants, shops and most importantly the boulangerie. Parking was convenient and free, just across a footbridge. The train station was approx. 10 minute walk away.
The large Sunday market was fantastic and should not be missed!
Thank you Christine and Thierry

L'Isle sur la Sorgue Retreat
We really enjoyed our stay. Great location, well appointed and comfortable bed. Maybe a second fan so you didn't have to carry the one fan in and out of the bedroom. Cute, clean, great space. Recommend this apartment highly.

Perfect place to stay
This historic building was restored by an architect and combines an historic atmosphere with elegant furnishing and modern conveniences. It was well - equipped with everything we needed, and there was even beer and wine in the refrigerator. The location was ideal, by the river and a water wheel, and only 5 minutes walk to the center of the old town with its stores and restaurants. Our hostess met us on our arrival was charming, friendly and helpful. We loved our stay here!

Could have been a 4.5, except for bed, sink
We stayed at this flat during the spring of 2019. The owners were great and very communicative. The apartment is located on what would be considered the 2nd floor if you’re American (the 1st floor to Europeans), so don’t let that confuse you when you read the entry instructions. Located on the quieter and very charming north side of the old town. Looking out the window you can see the beautiful Sorgue River flowing through, ducklings, local pétanque games, and quieter town life. The apartment was very clean with attractive decor and most amenities including toasty heaters. Hot shower (and a full curtain, a welcome rarity in France for our stays). Free public parking is a minute away for those with a car!
Unfortunately there were a few inconveniences that affected the comfort of our stay: 1) We found the bed to be terribly uncomfortable. After the first lousy night we inspected the mattress to find that it was squashed flat and thin. We could feel the hard wood slats below. The bad nights’ sleep really affected our mood. 2) The kitchen sink will not drain, EVER. Whoever installed the sink did not make it level so there will always be a few centimeters of water (and food scraps) sitting in the sink. Completely unsanitary and unappealing, as we love to cook. Too bad since the kitchen was well equipped and ready otherwise.
Smaller quirks to note—the glass sliding door between the bathroom is a hazard as it continually slides part-way closed when you open it, making it extremely easy to bump into when passing in and out, especially in the dark. For privacy lovers, note the same door doesn’t actually close all the way either. With the close quarters, you and your partner will get to share each other’s bathroom time whether you want to or not.
And maybe we just are too dumb to figure this out but the washer/dryer combo machine didn’t actually dry our clothes. All the settings were written in French. Some English instructions in the otherwise excellent welcome booklet would have been helpful. We figured out how to wash but the “dry” setting seemed to just steam our clothes with extreme heat for hours and hours which didn’t seem good for them. At least there was a very good clothes rack provided so we just used that.
All in all, we loved L’isle-Sur-La-Sorgue and appreciated the generous hospitality of the owners. With a few modifications, mainly the bed, this apartment could have gotten a much higher rating.

Very Nice Apartment
This apartment exceeded our expectations. Great location, quiet and a view of the canal. I wished we stayed longer. The owner was first rate in every way

Convenient, comfortable, close to many attractions of Paris, great neighbourhood
The location is excellent and Jaques is very quick to respond always. It is very comfortable, just small, but really we were out most of the time, so it wasn’t a huge issue. The place could use a bit of an update, countertop is worn, new chairs on outside patio would be nice. Loved the proximity to metro and the neighbourhood is interesting

Wonderful and charming
We had a lovely stay in the apartment in isle le sorgue. Christine and Thierry were very gracious and helpful, the apartment was charming clean and steps away from the fabulous market on Sunday. Our favorite afternoon was spent just outside the apartment on the river reading, watching the ducks and making friends with the local people.
We would highly recommend staying there;it was safe clean and reasonable. An incredibly idyllic french town.

Terrific Location
Loved this cosy apartment. Small, but all the comforts of home. Everything was exactly as pictured. The location is terrific, not only within the town of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, but in the greater area. Took day trips everyday, except Sunday (Market day) Nothing was very far. Parking was so easy, got the same space right in front of the apartment every day. 1 small local market right on the island, 1 larger market just off the island were so convenient, we cooked in several times. After sightseeing all day and yummy lunches, just not hungry for another large meal. That being said, the restaurants we tried on the island were all very good as well. Had a wonderful stay and appreciate the ease of check in with Christine. They graciously alerted us to the daylight savings time change and checked on us by email another time. Should we visit Provence again, we would certainly try to rent this apartment
again. We appreciate the promptness of the refund of the damage deposit , often not the case. Thank you Christine and Thierry for the stay at your delightful apartment.

This is the perfect place to stay in L' Isle sur la Sorgue!
We had a wonderful stay in the town and much of it was because we stayed in this flat! It was located in the quiet residential side of town but still inside the Isle. We could easily walk to the restaurants, bars, and shops but were not in the midst of the action. Most noise came from the ducks that swam near the water wheel in front of the building. We loved it! Thierry and Christine have put beautiful high-end appliances in the kitchen and bath. And, the furnishings were very comfortable... the bed, couch, pillows, etc. Much of what impressed me was how Christine and Thierry thought of every need that one might have... brochures and maps for exploration; perfect number and type of utensils for cooking and food storage; extra pillows and towels. They also emailed to see if we needed anything which was greatly appreciated. My husband has allergies and asthma so it warmed my heart to find the flat so very clean, pet & smoke-free with everything I would need to keep it that way. There is so much to see within a short drive from L' Isle sur la Sorgue and like any other place you have to learn the one way roads to get in the appropriate direction. Best boulangerie was the Convert... excellent croissants and baguettes. We went to Aparte for an excellent dinner. We definitely recommend this flat for your stay in la Sorgue!

Perfection in Provence
This lovely apartment was a perfect home base for me during my recent, first time visit to L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and Provence. The space is well equipped, clean and quiet. I loved looking out the bedroom window at the waterwheel and the ducks floating on the crystal clear, green river. Christine and Thierry are pleasant hosts! They greeted me on my arrival and even checked in with me during my stay to be sure everything was ok! They provide a nice, well organized binder with maps, restaurant and activities recommendations for L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and Provence. ( consider La Bastide de Marie as a special treat during your exploration of Provence!!) The wifi connection is strong and reliable. Access to the building and apartment is easy, yet secure and safe. I had everything I needed to feel at home in this charming space.
The location of the apartment is perfect. It's an easy walk to the town center. I felt like a local as I strolled through the narrow, cobblestone streets to nearby shops and restaurants. The Thursday and Sunday market days are amazing and definitely another perk of this quaint town.
Thanks again to Christine and Thierry for offering this great apartment. I hope to return and stay here again!

Well positioned apartment
The apartment was clean, spacious (for two), well appointed and well positioned in what is a busy town. Many original features. Other reviewers have made certain adverse comments about the bathroom. It was perfect for us. We had a hire car so the car park opposite was a bonus. Easy to gain access to the whole town. A peaceful retreat at the end of busy days!

Fantastic location and owners - didn't love the apartment as much
The owners were extremely helpful and organized, providing answers to questions and plenty of information on the village and nearby things to see and do.
The location is perfect- plenty of free parking in front of the house just across the little canal - and the street is quiet and beautiful yet a short walk to the village shops and restaurants.
The apartment was clean, well equipped and as advertised although it was a bit too quirky for me. Maybe I should have paid more attention to the details and reviews.
The bathroom is tiny (although workable) and it has a frosted glass sliding door between the bedroom and bathroom. The door doesn't fully close, has no acoustic privacy and minimal visual privacy. Since the door is at the foot of the bed the glass bathroom door was uncomfortable for me.
There were no places to store and open luggage other than the floor. The room is small although having two small folding luggage stands would be a huge improvement.

Great Location and Comfortable, Clean Apartment!
The apartment is clean and the bed was very comfortable, if you like a firm mattress. The bathroom looks like it was recently redone. It is a short walking distance into town where you can find a lot of restaurants, shops and just quaint streets. The river adds a lot of charm to the city. Isle sur la Sorgue is a great base for visiting many of the local attractions (Gordes is a must see!) There isn't AC but that wasn't a problem. There was a fan we used and it didn't get too hot. There is a laundromat not far from the apartment.

Wonderful location
This is a very good place for a couple. We wondered if it would be big enough and it certainly was. Kitchen was well equipped and the little dishwasher was so useful. Bedroom was very roomy. Tiny bathroom but a great shower. We loved this little place. Location is perfect and the town a real gem. It was so.easy to go to other towns and villages in Liberon. Thierry and Christine are great hosts. Thanks for the use of the apartment!
