Calming, beautiful retreat on the Red Mill Pond. Had everything we could need or want, including a set of canoes and kayaks. My husband and dogs loved every minute.

What a great house in a peaceful spot on the lake. East access to the beaches and plenty to do around the house. Brilliant space to spend time with the family and Bob was super helpful throughout.

We had such a wonderful time at this lakefront Delaware rental. The house and property is gorgeous! Family caught lots of fish in the pond and a short trip to the beaches. Perfect!

Property was absolutely beautiful and accomodating to our entire family, and the owners couldn't have been better.

Lovely and interesting home that mixes lake access and a short drive to ocean and bay beaches. The nearby towns of Lewes and Rehoboth are full of activities, but staying at this property with its wild gardens and green space provides a quiet home base.

House is lovely, decor is warm and inviting. I always cook on my vacation and was happy that the house had everything you need to prepare big meals. The yard is out of this world spectacular. You just have to see the gardens to believe them. Beautiful view of the water. Loved the kayaks and canoe provided.
Location is so convenient to the various Delaware beaches. Owner was very responsive to questions. Overall a fabulous house. Will rent again.

Perfect location. Beautiful gardens, the lake for fishing, close enough to the beach and boardwalk if that's more your thing. We saw birds and turtles on the lake. Having access to the kayaks was wonderful. We had a lovely stay. Highly recommend if you're looking for a private, peaceful option.

The property grounds were so beautiful because of all the plants and flowers. Our dog loved running around and exploring the large yard. We brought our kayaks and it was easy to launch from the dock. The house was as described and appliances, etc. were in working order. The kitchen had everything we needed. The house is on a quiet street but just a short drive to Lewes and the bay beach. The dining table was big enough to play games on. We loved that there wasn't a TV in the main living room.

Excellent communication with the property owner Bob, he made the check in process smooth. We loved staying at this place.

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend visit with family and loved the beautiful views of the pond! The house is tucked away and offers maximum privacy while being a short drive to everything. We spent time on Rehoboth Ave, quaint downtown Lewes, and took in the Milton Holiday Market nearby. Bob was attentive and we had great communication before and during our stay - the consummate host! Description of the house is spot on and it’s a rare treasure.

It was a wonderful experience. This place is convenient to the Beaches and DFH. The (mostly) native plant yard, for us, was a most unexpected treat. I’m sure it is even nice in early spring and summer. The spiral staircase is, well, it’s a spiral staircase, be prepared. I can imagine it could be tricky for some, especially the 10th time you go up and down that day.
We loved it and would gladly rent it again.

An extraordinary house tucked into an ordinary neighborhood, convenient to beaches, restaurants and nature. Beautiful gardens, lawn and lakefront right outside the door. Spacious, well-equipped, great furnishings.

Bob has a very beautiful home and when you stay here you know that you're staying in a home that has a lot of love and care in it. The listing is very accurate and the view of the pond is amazing.
One thing to note, Bob does not supply towels so make sure you bring your own. Thank you Bob!

Loved this home ! Beautiful setting huge yard and so much more. Bob was very easy to communicate to. We enjoyed our vacation stay and would recommend this home to friends. (Spiral staircase was fine for us)

Probably the nicest vacation home we have ever stayed in. Absolutely everything you need or want to make it feel like home. Great for people with dogs that can climb stairs...ours can! Beautiful fenced in yard. Lovely gardens, a great Weber grill, canoes, kyacks, etc.
Great communication with owner. We would love to come back!

Our multi generational family plus PETS thouroughly enjoyed your rental property. Being able to enjoy the beaches as well as the pond was such a plus for us. We fished, canoed, kayaked rode bikes and used your firepit as well as being able to visit the local sites and beaches. Bob was in touch with us the whole time and everything ran smoothly.

This place is a rare find, and was absolutely perfect for us. Close enough to the beaches to enable an easy beach day, but with waterfront lake access to enable some fun lake activities (kayaking, caught some bass, lots of big catfish - pick up some mullet at Henlopen Bait Shop). House is comfortable, clean and well-kept. An unusually well-stocked kitchen. We plan to return!

This was my first rental experience, so I was nervous about the process, however the homeowners had everything so well organized, were extremely clear with instructions and were always accessible. We brought our Great Pyrenees with us and when we entered the multi-level home, the owners had laid out several bowls of water for our dog on each floor. The gorgeously kept and fenced backyard allowed us to let our dog run free and enjoy a lot of room to play in. As a recommendation, if you're going to venture far and have brought your dog, there are some great boarding facilities or dog daycares nearby in which to board your dog for a day or two. Our's spent two days at Jungle Jim's so we could spend an entire day in D.C. and then Ocean City. At night, the fire pit was great for smore-making. The owners even provided kayaks and a canoe to paddle in the nearby pond.
The house itself is very clean, has beautiful artwork, and feels like home. I've never been more relaxed. We slept in the very comfortable loft, while my son and his wife slept in the first floor queen. There are plenty of blankets and throws to use when you're sitting in the TV room, watching the tube or playing board games with family. Both bedrooms have balconies to allow lovely views of the surrounding area.
Aside from buying groceries, there wasn't a single thing we needed that the home owners hadn't provided. Even down to the grill, all utensils and accessories are at your fingertips.
To add as a side, this home is within easy distance to absolutely everything. Beaches, wildlife refuges, Washington, Baltimore, Ocean City etc. I have nothing, but fantastic things to say about this property and its owners and I hope my family can visit again very soon.

This house is in a great location within 15 minutes of Lewes and Rehoboth beaches. It is in a quiet neighborhood with a water view of Red Mill Pond, on a gorgeous property. The house itself is well apportioned with everything you need. The house was clean and well maintained. The owner was accomodating and pleasant. The only downside we found were the spiral staircases which, while beautiful to look at, could be difficult to navigate for some. Overall we'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

From the fresh water left out for my dog, comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen, to the large fenced in yard. I could go on forever. Absolutely the best.

Gorgeous plantings that drew bunnies, butterflies, and birds. The pond was gorgeous and peaceful- blue heron and lots of jumping fish! Wonderful house with great light and vibe. Fenced in yard made it easy to let out the dogs. Neighborhood was lovely to walk in and the towns of Milton and Lewes were an easy drive away. Just perfect for us!

We had a great stay. Kayaking on the pond, biking in the area and easy drive to Lewes and Rehoboth. The kitchen is well stocked and we used the grill and fire pit also. The spiral stairs and railings are not safe for elders or young children (as noted in the description) but not a problem for our group. Plenty of room to gather or spread out to separate floors.

This is a great home for both spending time with others and for sneaking off for a little "me" time. Upper and lower decks, firepit area, and gazebo all have seating for several people. Upper great room has a large dining table, perfect for marathon board games or puzzles (although bring your own task light if you want lighting for old eyes). The lower small living room is cool and dark, perfect for a short nap.
And of course, the lake is right there, accessible from the dock with the provided canoe and kayaks. We scored big fishing during our stay - catching numerous catfish, bass and perch. Even the dogs got in on canoe rides!
The neighborhood is very peaceful but restaurants are only a few miles away in either Milton or Lewes.
We loved this location! The beautiful May flowers were the crowning touch!

The house is beautifully constructed and appointed. The owners have included everything you could think of for a rental, yet it feels like a genuine home, complete with top notch eclectic artwork and furniture that doesn't feel like it was "just bought for the rental". The layout is indeed a little quirky, but the listing is accurate in its description and disclaimer regarding the spiral stairs.
The outdoor property is beautiful. It's in a suburban-ish development which isn't apparent in the photos, but the yard is spacious and gorgeously landscaped, and the lakefront is easily accessible and beautiful. The drive to Lewes is about 10 minutes, and not difficult.
The owner is very easy to reach and made every effort to make sure we were well situated. We were very happy with our three-day stay and are hoping to return soon.

Everything was so beautiful and perfect at the lake house. It did not feel like a rental property but rather it felt like a wonderful and personal retreat. I always bring my own knives and candles but it was not necessary here. We were so grateful to Bob.

The house was exactly as described and even better! Everything felt super cozy, from the fireplace in the living room to the soft blankets on the couches...we all settled in quickly and really enjoyed our time. The kitchen is well stocked and we wanted for nothing while preparing any meal, including Easter dinner. Bob was amazing with communication and was very easy to reach by email/phone prior to and during our stay. As we were leaving, both of my adult children and their significant others asked when we could come back! (I basically had to drag them all out of the house on the last day!). Highly recommend for families and friend groups, especially if you have fur babies who want to join in on the fun!

Nice property in a quiet area right on a nice-sized pond. Kitchen was very modern and well-stocked. Everything was very clean and rooms were spacious and unique. Great setup for a trip to slower lower Delaware!

This truly was a perfect weekend away with friends and family. From the den area with the kitchenette that the teen boys claimed as their own to the cozy loft area that our tween girls staked as their own special place. The house is wonderful for birdwatching and and relaxing. We imagined many times how beautiful the gardens must be in the warmer months. We often felt a certain sense of wonderment in the home. Perfect rental for anyone that appreciates art and nature.

We spent a long weekend at the house. It was nicely equipped and the property owner was very through with communicating and making sure our needs were met and that we were happy with our stay.

My husband and I were seeking a few days away in a quiet location, and this house was perfect for our needs. It is well-maintained and quite lovely. We were able to work remotely with the internet connection. We were here in the winter, but it is right on a pond or lake that would be fantastic to enjoy in all other seasons. The property had a very well-stocked kitchen. The owners have accurately indicated that the property has some spiral staircases that would be a challenge for elderly users or very young children. (Our 2 year old lab navigated the spiral stairs just fine with some treats to teach her up and down; it might be hard for an elderly dog that can't be carried.) We look forward to coming back!

The house was a perfect getaway for the family. We enjoyed the yard and pond even though it is winter, and appreciated the well stocked kitchen. The owners were very easy to work with, and we highly recommend the rental.

We stayed here to get away for a few days. Everything was well stocked and the views were absolutely gorgeous. Close enough to everything that we could do a beach visit, etc, but far enough away that we felt secluded.

We had a wonderful time at this property and especially enjoyed the convenience of having kayaks right on the water. The house is an easy drive to the beach and the garden is also beautiful. As noted in the listing, you need to climb spiral staircases to get into the main level and top floor bedroom, which might not be perfect for toddlers or people with disabilities, but it gives the house a cool "tree house" feel over the water, and the decks coming off both upper and lower levels were also very nice. I highly recommend this property and would love to stay here again.

We have been vacationing at the Delaware beaches for 15 years, renting homes throughout the area. We’ve stayed at many fine properties, but never found the perfect home for our family. This is the one!!The house is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It is in a great location in a quiet neighborhood, convenient to everything. We also loved the water views from many locations in the home. For us, it was the property that made it ideal. The yard is huge, with lovely flower gardens, a gazebo, and a fire pit. We had our dogs with us, and they loved running all around the secure yard, and we didn’t have to be concerned about them getting out. The fishing on the private pier was an additional attraction. Communication with Bob was flawless. He answered all inquiries quickly and completely. We haven’t encountered a more responsive, accommodating owner. This will definitely be the house we rent from now on. We give it the highest rating and recommendation.
