About this apartment rental
Oceanfront condo sleeps up to 10 people with king bed in master bedroom, 2 double beds in bedroom 2, and 2 twin beds in bedroom 3. The unit is equipped with a rollaway bed. Each bedroom has a private bath with a tub/shower combination in each. The beach is steps away from your Ocean One patio at this oceanfront complex in South Forest Beach. With patios off the living room and master bedroom, guests staying in Ocean One 119 enjoy easy access to the beach as well as the oceanfront swimming pool. After hours in the surf, vacationers rinse under the outdoor shower located on the complex's private beach walkway and then dip into the freshwater pool.

This location and unit were amazing! The pictures did not do it justice. All of the rooms were large. There was more than enough space for us. I could tell the bathroom in the master had a new shower and floors put in we could not be happier with our stay. Thank you!!!

The property itself was lovely; location great to access playground, restaurants, shopping, beach. The ground floor unit was great with kids for some easy outdoor play. Unfortunately, the unit itself really needs a deep cleaning, a week of aggressive cleaning and upgrading would benefit. I believe the primary bedroom has bed bugs, so that added a negative and extra attention on my part when I returned home. Thelarge pantry space across from the washer & dryer has some rubber coated shelving that is dripping in old dirt & grease, so not usable. I'm amazed that the black console table in LR with expensive electronics on it is even standing, it is extremely unstable with loose leg joints.The management company, Seashore Vacations were very easy to work with and responsive to my questions. The negative about the unit's condition I am addressing now, after staying there. I would not rent that unit again in its current condition.

Only complaint is no ventilation in bathrooms and some bedding was stained. Location and size were absolutely perfect for 3 adults and 4 kids/teens.

Overall great location! Nice pool and beautiful beach. Clean and comfortable. Would stay here again. Would like to see a few more minor amenities, like extra sheets, pillow cases, beach towels and lawn chairs or umbrella available for the beach, needed to rent. They did have a small collection of beach toys/floaties, etc. Also had to buy laundry soap/dish soap. They give you a very small amount but not enough if you're using the beach and/or cooking there.

We had a great time. The apartment was fine but could not close two of the bathroom doors. My son in law got locked in one because of a faulty door for almost three hours. The emergency number given us did not respond and we had to have the Sheriffs department come get the door down. We do expect the doors to be operational when you pay $6000 dollars for a week.

Realize this unit is right off the beach and pool, but the tile floors need replacing. Our bare feet were dirty the first day and we had to wear shoes the rest of the week. Furniture is also in need of a steam cleaning or replaced. Walls definitely need painted after this season. Washer (looked new) and dryer worked well, but dishwasher did not dry the dishes and we had to towel dry...something I did not want to do on vacation. Dishes were also a mishmash, but I guess we had everything we needed. Sliding door handle was loose, but we found a tool to tighten it temporarily. Drawer fronts in bathrooms kept falling off. We were disappointed the pool closed early and opened late and the fire pits were seasonal.

Pros: Beachfront, Ground floor unit with easy access from patio to pool and beach, spacious unit, complex grounds are beautifully landscaped, location on the island- very central.Cons: I have been staying in Ocean One for over 20 years and this is the first unit that has been a large disappointment in many ways. 3 out of 5 major appliances were not in working order. Dishwasher: Water does not heat up so dishes remain greasy after wash cycle. The advice the management company gave was to run the hot water in the kitchen sink prior to running dishwasher. My advice: install a properly working dishwasher, no one wants to do workarounds on their vacation. Washing Machine: Spin cycle is very, very noisy and thus does not spin and clothes in washer remain soaking wet after a wash cycle completes. We stayed for 2 weeks in this unit and after the first week the management company stopped contacting me back about replacing the washing machine. If you want to do laundry on this vacation, don't book this unit, you'll not have a working washer. Dryer: Take 3.5 hours or more to dry clothes- whether due to ineffective ventilation or that clothes are too wet after washing machine cycle- you'll spend a lot of time waiting for your beach towels to dry. Other cons: Bathroom cabinet faces are falling off the drawers; there is peeling paint on several walls; mattress are old and uncomfortable; kitchen is il-equipped with cheap/in-expensive kitchen items. As a note, the pool at the complex closes at sundown (around 8:30pm)- which is earlier than I ever remember it closing. We attempted both in email and in phone calls to have the management company address the problems including remuneration for rental fees and the management company stopped contacting us back. I'm unimpressed. Save yourself the headache by selecting a different option.

The location is great but the unit was very tired and needed a lot of TLC. Many things were in bad shape or did not work. I understand that renting a unit on the Ocean with sand and suntan lotion can be a challenge but they made that decision to rent so they need to step up and update the unit. Been staying in Ocean One for over 30 years but feel like they may be pricing me out of the market. Have to give the unit one star.

Walk to restaurants and shops, and RBC shuttle. Condo is spacious with a great view of ocean. Pool was nice, and fire pits a huge plus. Could use some updates, but was clean and had every we needed. Loved having a washer and dryer. Will stay again.

Unit 119 was perfect for our Thanksgiving feast as we all brought beach chairs and feasted on the lawn just outside of this unit. It's a great spot!

We liked the unit and it’s location on the HHI beach. Six of us girlfriends enjoyed breakfast and happy hour on the patio. It was great to just walk from patio to pool to beach. The beds were all comfortable and the 3 full bathrooms were clean. Very quiet and parking at end of October was plentiful.

Word to the wise, make sure you get trip insurance that covers weather. Ian closed the HHH airport for 2 days so all of our flights were canceled. HHI was under a hurricane warning and a surge warning. The property managers were unwilling to reschedule our trip for another time so we are just out all of the money.

The condo is in a great location close to shopping and facing the ocean. The condo itself could use some maintenance. It was not clean. There was dust over grease on the kitchen cabinets and microwave. The microwave is rusted inside. There is a ceramic tile floor everywhere except the bedrooms. The grout is black. It’s supposed to be white. The ceiling in one bedroom looked like it was falling down. The walls in the unit had many scuff marks. There was a very large clump of hair in the drain preventing the tub from draining in one bathroom. One drawer front in the same bathroom is inside the drawer. The shower head in this same bath is cracked. Another bathroom had a large hump on the bottom of the tub that made drainage slow. There was a brand new single rollaway bed that we needed to utilize. We had to assemble it to use it. Mattresses were very soft. Curtain rod in one bedroom is loose. The furniture is dirty. For the amount of money it costs to stay here I would not recommend it to a friend in its present condition.

Great layout and perfect HHI location!
Wonderful stay! This unit has the best layout in Ocean One with the two master suites having patio access on the first floor. It was perfect for a week in HHI with my family and my parents.

Great Location!
This is a wonderful location-short walk to beach and local shops. We had a group of 8 staying, and there was plenty of room for all. There were extra pull out beds in the closet that were a pleasant surprise. The condo itself could use a little updating-especially bathrooms, but it was overall clean, comfortable, and convenient. It was well-stocked with kitchen appliances, cookware and such, allowing us to enjoy meals and snacks right there. Overall, we were happy with our stay.

The value of this ground floor condo unit is fairly accurate. We traveled in an off-peak time and felt really enjoyed the roominess of the entire unit. The biggest downside were some basic updates that could be made as well as the shower/tub units. Small details like light switches, electrical panels and vents seemed like the originals. The rugs and shower curtains in the bathrooms could be interchanged more frequently. These small updates can make a big difference! Overall, we were satisfied with the unit.

Condo needs some major TLC
The location was great. The pool and beach area were wonderful. The condo needed some help. Most of the closet doors didn’t work or were missing handles. The screen on the slider was ridiculous and didn’t slide. The master tub was cracked and very bouncy … you were just waiting to fall through. The microwave was all cracked and peeling on the inside. Missing lots of utensils (silverware, hot pads).
We would probably think twice before renting this again.

Love Hilton head
The location was excellent. Building and pool were extremely nice and grounds were kept up and beautiful.The unit 119 needs to be updated/bathrooms were very aged and the tile floors needed a major cleaning.Furniture was adequate but also dated.Beds were very comfortable.
One major problem we had/palmetto bugs aka cockroaches /woke up Monday morning with no less than 8 dead ones in the unit on the tile floors/Tuesday morning found another/Wednesday found another.
Called property management Monday morning/came out within 30 minutes and cleaned up the dead ones monday/didn’t call Tuesday or Wednesday.
They sent someone to spray again Monday/maintenance man/not an exterminator.This is a major issue with us and our friends who stayed with us.We are very concerned about bring these critters back to our homes if they got into any of our stuff.Thats one issue we should not have to be worried about when staying at a VRBO.would love to have someone reach out to me to further

This condo has prime location and amenities. The condo was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. Some features were rather out of date, but that did not affect our overall satisfaction of the condo. We had several issues arise (sink wouldn’t drain, fridge wouldn’t close well) while we were there and the rental company was quick to send someone out to fix these things! I would recommend this property and our group plans to stay here again!
