About this villa rental
Few places enchant the senses quite like Villa Violeta. Luxury-Seclusion-Adventure-Rejuvenation. Our private boutique villa sits atop a granite recess with stunning views of the northwestern coastline on the Pacific Ocean. It is nestled amongst twenty-five private acres of soaring palms and boasts over 350 feet of beachfront on just under 1 acre of land. We offer luxury resort style services including the use of a talented chef who prepares and serves 3 meals a day, daily housekeeping, adventure and water activities and multiple spa services By car or taxi, Villa Violeta is only 45 minutes from the airport in Puerto Vallarta and 20 minutes from the popular town of Sayulita.
It is the perfect destination for those who seek seclusion, privacy, tranquility, and luxury, and yet is located just 45 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta with its international airport, world-class dining, great shopping and nightlife. It is 2 miles from the quaint, unspoiled village of San Francisco (San Pancho to locals), 20 minutes from the bustling fishing and surfing village of Sayulita, and a short drive to the Four Seasons Resort at Punta de Mita.
The palapa roof of the main house soars to over 60 feet creating a dramatic backdrop for this unique home. There is a whisper of Indonesian style in the decor and dramatic touches of India in the architectural details.
The 40 foot living room is open wide to take advantage of the soft Pacific breezes and coastline views, while milky, marble floors cool your bare feet. Ancient carved Indian arches frame the comfortable seating area, with air-conditioning, a master bath with twin vanities, and a stunning outdoor shower. The living area has an additional powder room at main entrance for all to use.
The large, charming kitchen is fully-equipped with a microwave, toaster oven, coffeemaker, you name it...but best of all, a wonderful local cook to tend to all your needs! Just steps away is an outdoor terrace overlooking the pool, beach, and gorgeous Pacific coastline.
Follow the stone steps around the house to the spacious, second-floor king Palapa Suite with baño, sink and shower. The suite features a large sleeping area with King bed and 2 twin beds & an open closet. The open-air palapa roof stretches up another 30 feet for a dramatic effect. The beds are draped in flowing white nets and have fans for a cool breeze all to give this room its own exotic/tropical personality. It's the perfect romantic hideaway.
Just below the main house there is a comfortable garden/spa lounge overlooking the manicured gardens and pool. The perfect spot for a massage, afternoon siestas, reading your favorite book or just whiling away the hours in paradise.
Take a few steps down from the main house to one of our 3 casitas, Casa Nido. This private, cozy casita has a king bed and private bathroom with an outdoor shower. Very romantic!
Continue on a few more steps down from there and you arrive at Casa Coco, our largest Casita. The lower level has a king bed, clawfoot bathtub, and private baño all surrounded by beautifully handcrafted rock walls. The upper level has a king bed, sleeping loft area with 2 queen beds, living room area and a beautiful wrap around deck. There is a shared full outdoor bathroom with shower surrounded by a bamboo wall for the entire casita. This is perfect for 2 couples or a family!
Take the steps down from the main house across the pool, across the beautiful yoga deck and you arrive at Casa Mirador. This Casita has a king bed, full private bath with indoor shower and sunken bathtub. All of the walls are glass doors that slide open to hear and feel the ocean breeze. As all of our views are spectacular, Casa Mirador has an especially stunning view! You can enjoy this view from your room or on the rooftop deck furnished with lounge chairs and an outdoor bed.
You can relax all day on the sands of your secluded beach, pass the hours beside the sparkling, sapphire pool, or take a gentle ride in a hammock while overhead the palm trees dance to the ocean breezes, rustic, private steps will carry you down to the sands below.
If Villa Violeta sounds like your idea of paradise, then we invite you to reserve your place in the sun. Perhaps before you know it, you´ll be tucking your toes in the warm sands of this storybook cove, sipping margaritas by the fading light of the sun, and all the while the rustling fronds of the coco palms whisper...'Paradise found!'

Our family, which included 4 generations, enjoyed another amazing week at Villa Violeta in December 2023. The location, property, views and service were once again superb. The meals, prepared by Mario and his team were varied, delicious and healthy. Yesika is personable, attentive and responsive to our needs. I highly recommend Villa Violeta!
5.0 / 5.0
We had family ranging from 10yo to teens to adults and we all had an incredible time! The view is out of this world, the beach is a dream. The property is beautiful and comfortable and very special. The Chef, Mario, and staff were so great and the food was amazing. Yesika (property manager) was super helpful and knowledgeable about all the things. The wifi was out and we had no cell service, which was a little anxiety provoking but ended up being a nice shift with our group as nobody was on their phones. This could be problematic if you actually need access to the internet. One thing to note is that washer and dryer are listed under amenities; however, you can't do your own laundry on property but Yesika will take laundry to town to have done. We would absolutely go back.

Our 3-generation family stayed at Villa Violeta for a week and loved every moment of our time there. The property is accurately depicted in the photos, but what the photos don't capture is the serenity of the location and the exceptional staff. Yesika (property manager) does an outstanding job leading the team and Mario (chef) prepares excellent and healthy meals, always with a broad smile and friendly word.
Our group spent alot of time at the beach, hanging out, playing spike ball, riding the waves. We saw whales almost every day from the property. We ate all of our meals on the beautiful outdoor deck and practiced yoga each morning on the "yoga deck". Enjoyed cocktails on the "sunset deck". So many opportunities to be outdoors and enjoy the sunshine, warmth and amazing views.
Guests should know that the approach to the property is on a long and rutted dirt road, for which a suitable vehicle is a must.
To illustrate our enthusiasm for our experience at Villa Violeta, we were already discussing a return trip before we had even left there. Each of us, ages 3-82, is very enthusiastic about returning to this piece of paradise.

A Tropical Paradise
We were a family of 11 at this special property, from 8 months old to 80 years old. Everyone enjoyed this special stay, surprises and all.
First the good: the service is amazing, and the food indescribably good (thank you, Mario). Freshly-prepared, authentic Mexican food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner is unlike anything you would ever be able to encounter at any resort. It was a highlight, as were the amazing cocktails.
The beach and ocean were also remarkable. Fine, white sand, no seaweed, and water warm enough that we found ourselves spending 2.5 hours in it without realizing how much time had passed.
The architecture and layout of the property are also lovely and very private.
The road to the property could be seen as a bit of a shock, but many of us within the group saw the road as a feature.. how fun is an Indians Jones style road to paradise?
Now for the stuff we weren’t entirely prepared for and didn’t care for: bugs. All manner of insects, crawling and flying, of spectacular sizes, menaced us at all hours of the day. Granted the bug situation is seasonal and dependent on factors like rain, it was brutal. Add to the bugs intense humidity with limited air conditioning. Damp nights, fleas and crabs finding their way atop mattresses while we slept, and suffocating heat made bedtime our least favorite part of everyday. We let the older folks sleep in the air-conditioned rooms while the rest of us braved the environment like New World settlers.
The property is constantly undergoing renovations, and the owners are spending large sums of money to keep things looking fresh and up-to-date. That said, it’s a large property that’s privately-owned, so one should be flexible if all areas are not equally renovated at all times.
Overall, we were very happy with the stay (all of us) and we enjoyed being together in such a unique and private space.
One final note; there are only two properties on the beach, but the beach can be used by others farther up the hill. One family of expats who lives farther up the hill came by a few times and wanted to socialize with us. Nice people, a little quirky for sure.
We also took a day trip to Sayulita and enjoyed driving through the town of San Pancho.
Thank you to everyone at the villa for having made this trip (nearly) perfect.

Perfect Birthday Getaway!!!
Myself and 9 friends came to Villa Violeta to celebrate my 26th birthday... we had no idea what was in store for our trip. This place is AMAZING. I literally cannot describe how perfect and wonderful our time was. The service at VV is unbeatable ... every morning started with mellow pool / yoga time and fruit + coffee, followed by an amazing spread of whatever Mario had imagined up; chillaquilles, chorizo and eggs etc. in the afternoons we’d hit the private beach just steps away and staff would bring down fruit, beers, margs, mezcal shots you name it. Kayaks, snorkels, boogie boards, frisbee golf, tanning, cards etc. Dinner was something new every night and Mario even made me a special cake for my birthday :) I’ve never had such a special week with my friends and couldn’t even imagine how spectacular this place would be. Yesika, the property manager, would coordinate all our hearts desire. Boat trips, massages etc. she was constantly communicating with us and helping us with all our needs. We even took a few trips to the cute local town San Pancho and shopped and ate there. Villa Violeta is the epitome of privacy and beauty without the hassle of a hotel. The house offers the option for a secluded relaxing zen experience with your loved ones or a fun and energetic time celebrating with your friends. We certainly had both and the staff was able to accommodate it all! Will certainly be returning. So many thanks to everyone at VV who made our wonderful time possible.

epic gem of a villa perfect for a group of 15 gals
We could not have been more thrilled or happy with our incredible stay at Villa Violeta.
We booked as a group of 15 girls for a bachelorette and from the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were in pure heaven.
The villa is completely remote in a beautiful lush jungle. With a private beach, and infinity pool and perfectly executed local authentic Mexican food, there is no reason or need to leave this oasis!
Cynthia & Yesika are excellent to deal with. Informative, professional and kind as can be. The staff at Villa Violeta made our stay. The chef is a must, the food prepared was nothing short of delicious. They take care of you from morning till night!
We were so grateful for such a relaxing, welcoming and beautiful place to stay.
THANK YU!

Beyond Expectations!
There was a spectacular view from every unique perch on this fabulous property!
We had a small group of ladies... a "girl's trip" who stayed for a very relaxing week. Some of our highlights included the amazing service of the concierge, Yesika, and the entire staff. Colorful, mouth-watering meals were served on delightfully dressed tables with freshly made margarita's, ice-cold Corona’s and aqua fresca juices with views of the secret beach, Pacific Ocean and lush jungle.
Lazy days sunning by the pool on the pineapple express raft, drinks served poolside and more views. Numerous decks dotted around the property with lounge chairs... our favorite spot for our happy hour/sunset aperitif we fondly named "the sunset deck" where we enjoyed other-worldly sunsets -- pink / orange sky's, dramatic clouds and the Mexican air force of Pelicans soaring by us at eye level -- and of course, cocktails and great photo ops!
There was plenty of space for us to spread out in the various different bungalows all with amazing views, nicely decorated -- some with outdoor showers/tub -- comfortable beds, soft linens, robes and toiletries as well as fresh water decanters and tropical flower arrangements.
We also enjoyed a day hike through the jungle to the North for a beach visit to Playa de los Muertos and an evening out in Sayulita rubbing elbows with the interesting locals and tourists alike.
A tropical holiday at Villa Violeta or its sister property across the beach are not to be missed... book it now!

Great house, with lots of privacy.
This is where you go if you want privacy and care. The house fits everyone great and the staff takes care of your every need. There is nothing ostentatious about the house or the service, which is exactly what makes it excellent. Yes there are bugs. Yes you can't flush toilet paper. But, you're waking up with yoga (if you want) and being served pitchers of fresh pina colada's without even asking. I can't say enough about the incredible team that greets you. Can't wait to be back!

We just returned from Spring Break after renting both of these villas, Casa Violetta and Casa Caleta. My family stayed at Casa Violetta and it far exceeded our expectations. We were four families with six kids and there was plenty of room to spare. Each room was decorated with such thought and beauty. And simple good taste! The views from every vantage point were spectacular. The main house was a perfect place for us all to hang out after dinner. There was also a big screen room where the kids enjoyed a movie a couple of nights after a day of sun. The chefs kept us incredibly well-fed and the Staff kept our rooms clean and we were able to relax with not a care in the world. The Staff was so friendly and the food was Excellent! They were very personable and and learned ALL of our names. The meals, as well as the hospitality, were full of Love. Be prepared for the steps leading up to the villa...there are a lot of them. There is a lift that will take all of your luggage up to your quarters with help from the staff, which was quite a relief. And after day one, we had it dialed -- send the kids up the hill for the sunscreen.:)We laid on the beach and read books and played backgammon while some of us were on Kayaks, others swimming in the ocean, or in either of the two pools. The frisbee golf was a huge hit and so much fun. And my daughter fell in love with Oso, the resident frisbee-chasing dog. There was something for everyone! The sound of the ocean all day and night puts you in a constant state of relaxation. The Staff and Yessica, our AMAZING concierge, never ceased to impress us with their attention to every detail. Yessica set us up with days of excursions. Surfing, fishing, and trips to see the Blue Footed Boobies on an island where we had dolphins and whales swimming near our boats. We went into the wonderful towns of San Pancho and Sayulita with such ease. We can not express our gratitude enough to having been so lucky to have this experience with our friends.

Amazing!!!!
Beautiful private home. Decided to go renew our vowels. Fourteen family members joined us. All of us were comfortable and did not feel like we were on top of each other. There are so many places to go relax and break free of the family. Staff was amazing, made us feel right at home. First class from beginning to end. Chefs were great and showed us authentic Mexican cuisine. Will definitely come back.

Awesome vacation - beautiful houses
Nine couples got together to all celebrate our 50th birthdays taking place in the year 2018. We came from the USA, from LA, Austin, DC and NY. We new we were in for something very special once the driver had to unlock the gate. The 10 minute drive through the jungle to the beach was crazy but fun. We shared the two houses (Violeta and Caleta) and we were separated by a semi private beach. Both houses are absolutely breath taking - no expense was spared in the renovations. Both houses have awesome views of the ocean and pools and decks. The staff was there to handle our every need. The chefs were great and we enjoyed 3 meals a day. The meals were all authentic Mexican based meals and all ingredients were fresh and were shopped for on a daily basis. We couldn't wait for the bell to ring before each meal. Yessica came by each morning to check up on us and see if we needed anything like taxi rides, massages, yoga, etc and to make sure we never ran out of beer, booze or ice. This was one of a kind vacation and it exceeded all expectations. We were there for a full week and we only left the compound twice, to go to san Pancho and Sayulita. We also enjoyed playing frisbee golf (on property) and taking hikes from the house through the jungle. We absolutely loved our vacation and would definitely return.

Wonderful experience!
Our group recently stayed at Villa Violeta and everything exceeded our expectations! Yesika and her team were wonderful hosts and anticipated everything that we could imagine. The meals they prepared for us were as good as any we would expect at a 5 star restaurant. The beach is one of the best in Mexico and the views were tremendous. We will definitely be back!!!

Absolute Perfection for Family Holiday!
We had the privilege of staying at Villa Violeta and Villa Caleta just a few weeks ago. We rented both villas for 22 family members. This vacation could not have been any better! Everything about it was spectacular. Upon arrival we were greeted by Yesika, the house manager and her wonderful staff. We fell in love with each and every staff member. Yesika took care of every possible question and/or request. We started most of our mornings with yoga on the deck overlooking the ocean. Then, we followed with delicious breakfast. The kids said it was the best french toast they had ever had, while I enjoyed the more local Mexican breakfasts like huevos rancheros. YUM! Then, we would all meet down on the beach for relaxing and activities. Some of these included swimming, kayaking, snorkeling, paddle boarding, fishing, disc golf etc.
Then, we would gather again for a phenomenal lunch on the beach. JUST AMAZING! The afternoons consisted of trips to Salyulita, massages on the property, napping or just relaxing.
Early evening we had zumba dance lessons on the deck, and then we gathered again for sunset cocktails and dinner. One special evening my parents renewed their vows and it was magical. And, on our last evening, we had a bonfire on the beach where the kids could make smores. We will for sure be going back. It was for sure our best family vacation yet!

You will never want to leave!
This is one of the most exquisite places on the planet (and I have travelled the globe). Location, location, location, super private and stunning views all around. Most memorable for me is the welcoming, caring staff and the amazing chef - Teresa! Make sure you include meals prepared by her and her staff - she is a force...Mouth watering coconut shrimp, chile reline to die for and so much care from all -the gentle groundskeeper keeping the area beautiful, the rooms kept clean with ample towels and so peaceful all around...

COMPLETELY EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS!
We had a wonderful stay at Villa Violeta. Our only regret was not booking the property for longer! The staff was warm and friendly. We were celebrating a 40th birthday and it did not disappoint.
We were a party of 13 with several food allergies (gluten, dairy) and 2 vegetarians too. They warmly and effectively accommodated all our needs! The food was authentic and outstanding. Yesika was a gracious host. The service in general was top-notch. Tere, Exa, Martin and the rest were gracious and helpful. Great mixed drinks too!
We set up couple massages one afternoon for almost the entire group, which Yeskia arranged. That was wonderful too. We also had a Isabel from San Pancho teach a wonderful, all-level yoga class on the yoga deck. She also offered all-natural Ayurvedic facials and head massages which did not disappoint.
We rented a car from GECKO in Bucerias which was fantastic (and the staff there is hilarious).
I would highly recommend this property. Each sleeping spot was unique and beautiful. We loved all the different gathering areas for the group: the private beach, the pool deck, the bar area, the "sunset" deck and more. No need to leave the property...we had it all!
We will definitely return to this gem...but for longer next time! It was a 5-star experience through and through.

Amazing Family/Friends Retreat
We had a group of 14 adults and 2 children for a week at Villa Violeta and were nothing short of impressed with our experience! The staff are incredible: Yesika is a very gracious and friendly host. The staff are friendly, professional, and were ready to help with any request we had. The meals were fresh, homemade, and delicious-as if we were eating at a fancy restaurant every day! They paid close attention to a shellfish allergy in our group. We especially enjoyed the ceviche, guacamole, salsa, tacos, coconut shrimp, fried bananas, and tres leches cake. We enjoyed fresh fruit & fresh squeezed juice with breakfast and lunch, and had a variety of entrees for dinner. We chose to bring some of our own alcohol with us but what we didn't bring, they provided within a few hours of our request. The pool and beach offered great gathering and play spaces for the entire group & we had a bonfire on the beach on our last night which was a perfect ending to a great trip. Like other reviews mention, you do need to be prepared to be well removed from town and patient with the WiFi access because the connection didn't always work, which was great for us! If you are looking for a week to truly connect with your group, disconnect from the internet, and simply relax, this is a great location for you! Yesika arranged for massages and our massage therapist was incredible! There is nothing quite as relaxing as a massage outside with the sound of the waves crashing the in the background! They work with a very professional transportation service to help you get to your excursions but honestly, we didn't go too many places because they provided everything we needed. Some our our group went fishing and were picked up right at the beach on site! Our group was a little uncertain with how much groceries would be at the end of the week, but please do not worry too much about that...the bill for all three of our meals was significantly cheaper than if we had gone out for every meal or took a shuttle in to San Pancho/Sayulita for groceries multiple times during our trip. The quoted average of $25-$50/per person per day is very accurate. The rooms are all unique and open air. They do provide fans but the nights can be a bit warm depending on the season. Not every room is completely private (some share ceilings or spaces) but if your group is comfortable with that, you will not be disappointed with the rest of your experience. We all had an incredible time of relaxation!!

The rest of the world slipped away after arrival at this one-of-a-kind spot. The grounds are beautiful, the beach divine...the food.....better than any restaurant and as fresh as can be. Frisbee golf through the forest, the nicest staff who make sure you are never wanting anything... It is a perfect perfect vacation spot. The best.

Awesome
A great place for a group getaway. The location is remote which makes Villa Violeta special and fun if the desire is to avoid throngs of other vacationers, but one must take this fact into consideration and understand that access/communication to outside world is very limited. If spotty wireless and cell reception is forgivable, I would highly recommend staying here. Even for a large group, the property and accommodations are fairly spacious and the staff did a great job keeping the place clean. Our staff was wonderful to work with - the prepared meals were very well done (we did not have any specific requests or major food allergies, so the fare was all mexican-based) and they were willing to provide our requests when given a few hours of lead time. The beach and pool are right at your fingertips and were great places for our large group to congregate, have fun, and relax. Our group came into the experience not knowing what to expect, and everyone left having had a phenomenal experience. Also, we initially thought we would be spending more time going on excursions outside of the premise (zip-lining, golf, hiking, etc.). However, leaving the property was much more difficult than expected, but this did not pose any problems as we had plenty of fun enjoying the weather, the beach, and the property, and only left once for a day-long boat excursion.
I would definitely consider planning a return trip to Villa Violeta - we had a blast!

I spend 5 beautiful days at Villa Violeta for 4th of July this year. We honestly had the time of our lives.. All 18 of us.
The house is perfection, down to a pretty epic collection of vintage records and movies. We ate, drunk and relaxed to our hearts desire.
I stayed in the mirador, the master room. It can only be descried as magical. Its tucked away in the back of the property with a stunning ocean view.
Yessica and the staff were beyond great and anything we needed they took care of graciously.
I was lucky enough to get engaged during our stay so will forever hold this place close to my heart. We can't wait to return.
*One tip is get a FWD as it will make getting in and out of property much easier, especially in rainy season. They did warn us ,)

Most relaxing vacation ever
Ten of us stayed at Villa-Violeta to celebrate my partner's 40th birthday, and we could not have asked for better. What an amazing spot. We have never had such a relaxing vacation and we have traveled exstensively (Villa-Violeta is as good as our favourite B&B in Italy, Il Cannito). The location is amazing. The staff (Yesika, Gaby, Xciel, Mayra) were exceptional. We usually cook ourselves because we love to cook and some of us have dietary restirctions (two vegans, three vegetarians, 5 omnivores), but after the first night's meal we decided en mass to have Gaby do the rest of the cooking for us! We recommend using the Villa's taxi service to pick you up at the PV airport (unless you are going to rent a car) as you will save $100. Two of us walked the three miles into town one day and had lunch in San Pancho (Tiki or Tipi something -upstairs from the outdoor juice bar-, wonderful food and excellent fresh squeezed juices/smoothies). Otherwise we simply swam, kayaked, ate and drank, lounged in the sun by the pool and on the beach, and had a phenomenal time.
If we could visit yearly we would. We will be back!
p.s. For my partner's 40th, Yesika arranged to have two Mariachis sing on the beach for us and she found a pinata for us to take swings at!
