The property was very accurately described, we were a party of 19 and we all fit in the 2 apartments nicely. The apartments were very well stocked, we lacked nothing. The location was great, walking distance to shopping, restaurants and some historical sites too. Communication was the hosts was superb, the best experience ever! Shout out to Danai, Carole and Basil as their knowledge of Athens was so helpful in planning activities, and they arranged everything for us as well. I highly recommend!

The apartments were spacious and comfortable for our group of 15. The host and staff couldn’t have been more organized, friendly, and helpful. Great neighborhood with easy access to the Acropolis.

Very well-kept apartment (s) in the heart of the city and within walking distance to many sites.
With 19 family members we made use of both apartments, connected by a short hallway.
Lovely “welcome basket”, spacious balconies with great city views. Plenty of bathrooms.
Having transports, activities and restaurants booked for us was wonderful - doing that in a new place and for 19 people would have been beyond challenging.
The guides and drivers were excellent, warm and friendly.
One highlight in particular was our Greek meal cooking lesson for all 19 of us, with two chefs coming to the apartment. Everyone very much enjoyed themselves.
Very friendly and helpful apartment owners/travel planners.
Highly recommended.

We were a family of 16 ranging in age from 10 to 77. The layout of 7 BR’s allowed everyone to spread out while enjoying a central area.
The Location was great and all the major sites were accessible by foot.
Danai was incredibly helpful and cooked us a Greek meal which was great fun.
If you’re a large group and want to be in the middle of Athens highlights, this property is an excellent choice.

Loved this place - it's perfect for a multi-generation family.
Carole and Basil were amazing to work with - we had a large group and the accommodations were ideal - as were the pace of our mostly food focused activities (though our Acropolis guide was terrific.
Thanks Carole and Basil - we hope some of us will be back to explore more places in Greece - and we'll be working with Real Greece Travel again.

Amazing place for large groups
This was our second time to bring a large group of us to stay in this home. They have made some changes that made it even better than before--codes to get into the building and apartment (wonderful to not have to keep up with keys!), some new beds, and other renovations. Carole was incredible to work with and we sure hope to be back again next year! Highly recommend this place and any place that Carole and Basil host. :)

Carole runs a great business. The condo is well appointed, clean and beds are comfortable. She really goes out of her way to make sure you have a great vacation. We leveraged her contacts and set up several tours - and they were all well worth it. Highly recommend.

Amazing Place to Stay and Even Better People
The apartment was perfect for our group of 11. We spent 8 days in Athens and never got tired of such a nice place. The people we worked closely with were Carole, Basil and Nadia. What exceptional and caring people! If you have ANY question or concern, they are right on top of it. In additional to an extremely well maintained and stocked apartment, they provide excellent vacation planning. Their recommendations for tours, day trips, restaurants and activities were perfect. Never a problem! The people they work with match their compassion. Highly recommended to anyone wanting to visit Athens. The trip planning by Carole was such a hidden gem in this great vactation! Looking forward to another visit to Athens and the Acropolis Sky Villa!

Experience Athens like a local
We were are family of six spending Christmas in Athens. The location is amazing, you are right in the middle of a neighborhood with grocery, restaurants and shops steps away. And it was possible to walk/take a tram to all of the sights. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything needed to eat in, the washer and dryer came in handy. We used Carol's driver to and from the airport which I highly recommend.

Great location and views
We had a great time in Athens and loved the Sky Villa. It was in a good location convenient to the most popular sections for shopping and eating and felt like we were with the locals experiencing Athens the way they do every day. The Villa was extremely clean and well kept, and had everything we needed in the way of conveniences, connectivity, appliances, etc. The best part was Carol's tips and suggestions for what to do and where to eat, how to get around and great tours. Her partners for the transportation and tours were outstanding and well worth the fees. I highly recommend the Sky Villa to anyone traveling to Greece.

Amazing Oasis!
We stayed at this delightful apartment for five days during the middle of a heat wave in Athens. The apartment was clean and well stocked! We loved the showers and the thick towels. Sitting out at night having a BBQ of lamb sausages from the butcher across the street was a lovely way to reflect on our day of sightseeing. Our three teenagers appreciated their own bathrooms and the wifi. I highly recommend a stay here if you are headed to Athens! Thanks Carole!

Wonderful week in Athens
Our family is scattered all across the US. We were looking forward to spending time together and catching up. My brother booked a Festiva sailing vacation (awesome!)in the Cyclades and we topped it off with a week in Athens. The Athens First apartment was perfect for our needs. It offered a fill-sized refrigerator, well -appointed kitchen, two bathrooms (one with a tub!) and a lovely outdoor area where we gathered both before and after long sightseeing days. We highly recommend the foodie tour! The apartment was nicely decorated, spotlessly clean and had a much needed washer and dryer. We were welcomed with a food basket and wine, saving us from having to go to the grocery the day of check in. All in all, it was perfect for our needs. Carole, Basil, Nadia (conducted the Foodie Tour) and Nick (wealth of knowledge) were all so informative and helpful. Highly recommend a stay here!

Beautiful Duplex in a wonderful location!
This property was gorgeous, very comfortable. The A/C worked very well, which was important since Athens was 109F during our stay. The duplex is very clean. The owners have worked hard to make it comfortable. They arranged all airport transfers for us, as well as wonderful tours of the city. My favorite was the food tour with Nadia who took us through the local markets- highly recommend!
The beds and bathrooms are all very clean and comfortable. Hot showers felt wonderful after a day touring the city.
In the evenings, we loved walking to many local restaurants recommended by Carole (the owner) and Nadia. The location is perfect with a rooftop view of the Acropolis. There is also a washer/dryer which was nice. All of the drivers and guides were knowledgeable and very kind.
I highly recommend staying in this duplex, we didn't know what to expect but it was fabulous- plenty of room, clean, comfortable, and gorgeous! We would stay again if we are lucky enough to come to Greece again!

Great place.
The place has all the comforts of home. Carole has thought of everything. It is not too far from the city center, it is less of a "touristy" area and the restaurants are very good and inexpensive. The bakery was wonderful and every morning we had a delicious breakfast. Carole set up some fabulous tours for us and she takes care of everything. I would highly recommend using her expertise. Loved the food tour of Athens, and the tour to Poseidon's Temple. Carole also found us a guide for the Acropolis, she was outstanding! I will continue to use her homes, I want to go to Chicago just to use her vacation rental!!

Great Apartment
We stayed in Carole's large apartment over Thanksgiving and had a great experience. Carole arranged for car service and several tours and all were perfect. Nadia, the property manager who did our Foodie Tour, was lovely and very responsive to any needs or questions we had throughout the week. Maria, who gave us a tour of the Acropolis, was excellent. Our only regret was not having her come with us on our day at the Peloponnese, as we would have learned so much from her. Location was great- we walked everywhere. Only thing to note is that the master bedroom is quite noisy from street traffic, but i guess that's city living.

FANTASTIC!
Immaculate apartment in a beautiful neighborhood just minutes by taxi from all the important sites. Very nice welcome basket with different treats including a lovely bottle of wine! I can't say enough about the space--2 terraces with lovely views, a great kitchen (fully stocked with everything you might need). Perfect for a family or group of friends!

Fantastic apartments. very clean and modern.
Apartments were fantastic and had plenty of room for our group of 10. It was very nice to go out for the day and return to the apartments to relax and unwind and sit out on the balcony or terrace with a glass of wine. The apartment was exactly as described and very clean upon our arrival. Carole provided the ultimate in customer service and made sure our stay was memorable. She arranged tours and recommended restaurants which were bang on and delicious. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for fantastic accommodations in Athens.

Lovely accomodation in the perfect location
I stayed in this apartment with my husband and 3 children in the week leading up to Orthodox Easter. We couldn't have been more pleased. The street was lined with orange trees, which smelled heavenly. The apartment itself was just what we needed: two nice bedrooms in the house, and a bedroom and bathroom separate in the garden, which the children loved. There is a small paved garden, with a table to sit at on a raised terrace, and that was much enjoyed for a read in the sunshine. The location is ideal for tourists. The street is just off the huge pedestrian area surrounding the acropolis, and we rarely resorted to public transport or taxis; we walked everywhere. There were loads of places to eat nearby, and lots of great advice from the owners for places to go in and around Athens. We had a wonderful tour of the Acropolis from Poppy, who was a pleasure. It was a wonderful place to stay.

The apartments were booked for a business trip. All large, luxurious apartments. Very comfortable beds and bedding. Great bathrooms with high-end toiletries (Korres) offered complimentary. The kitchen was properly equipped so relaxing meals could be prepared and enjoyed. The terraces offered great views of the city. The location was perfect. Walk to tram stop in less than 5 minutes and walk to metro in less than 15 minutes. Grocery stores, restaurants and bars were all nearby.
As we were a large group we stayed this apartment and other apartments by this owner throughout the months December, January, and February. Our group was international and found the caliber of the accommodations were fantastic.
The apartments were like a home-away-from-home-- suitable for a romantic getaway, a family vacation or even a business trip.

The Heritage House was spotless. A warm greeting, and a thoughtful goodie basket welcomed us to the apartment. The Heritage House is in a very convenient location - a 5 minute walk to restaurants, nightlife and the metro and a 10 minute walk to the Acropolis. Carol was a wonderful host. She helped us organize transportation to and from the apartment, a full day private tour of the Acropolis with Popi that our entire family voted as the highlight of our vacation, and a sunset tour to the Temple of Poseidon.

Had a fantastic stay in the Acropolis View Alpha apartment which lived up to it's name. Fantastic views of the Acropolis and Likavitos both from the balcony outside our apartment and from the lovely roof terrace equipped with sun lounges, table, chairs and BBQ.
There was a large living room, fully equipped kitchen, computer and free local telephone calls. There are enough supplies in the very generous welcome basket and cupboards to get you through until you can get to the supermarket just up the road. Carole and Basil provide a valuable set of instructions, directions and recommendations which make finding your way around the maze of streets in Athens easier. We ate at one of their local restaurant recommendations - O Kostas, on the first night and had one of the best meals of our stay.
Everything in the apartment worked well, the beds were comfortable, the apartment was very clean and we enjoyed staying a little out of the centre in one of the suburbs of Athens. We felt like locals. Lots of great shopping (especially shoes) in the surrounding streets without the high prices of the more upmarket shopping areas. We caught the tail end of the summer sales so many bargains were snapped up.
We found the walk to Syntagma took longer than suggested - around 30 mins brisk walking, but we may not have gone by the most direct route. The only real difficulty we had was leaving the apartment to visit the sights!

Long before we arrived in Greece, Carole made us feel welcome. Thanks to her generous emails and extensive preparatory notes (adapted to each apartment), we had a good idea of what to expect. Then came the big surprise: our actual experience turned out even BETTER than expected. If you have read the descriptions of Carole's five apartments on VRBO, and thought to yourself, "They sound too good to be true," think again. The Heritage House apartment was exactly as described at VRBO, but its location still astonished us. The green Hill of the Pnyx was our "back yard." The green Agora site was our "front yard." We walked from the apartment to the Acropolis and to the new Acropolis Museum on a pedestrian street. We spent three days in Athens before encountering car traffic! Both the facade and the interior of Heritage House are exceptionally attractive. The owners, even more so. Babis and Xenia know better than most owners how to be welcoming and helpful, and also how to respect your privacy. We enjoyed some lively conversations and some good advice---but not one intrusion. Note that although the great classical sites are very close, the little necessities of life sit even closer: grocery store; bakery; pharmacy; ATM; etc. You are also comfortably near to the Thissio Metro station and to numerous bus lines. Restaurants and cafes are also present in abundance, but we rarely visited them, as it was so very pleasant to enjoy a meal or a drink on our own little open-air "terrace" above the back garden. We have been to Greece multiple times, but we had no idea that living in Athens could be so agreeable and peaceful and green. Did I mention the great beds; the spacious shower; the excellent wi-fi; the appliances that all work perfectly? Unless you are deeply devoted to hotel-type services, we doubt you could find a better accommodation anywhere in Greece than in one of Carole's splendid apartments.
