Sylvia, the hostess, was very responsive leading up to and throughout our stay. The house itself was very spacious with built in speaker systems in all communal areas which made for a pleasant stay. Would highly recommend this property to all.

We were a group of 13 amongst 3 families. The house was as advertised. Very nice inside. Great location close to the freeway with many amenities in the area. Would highly recommend. Communication with the host was great.

Our family enjoyed this house tremendously! The location at the end of the cul-de-sac was private and the views gorgeous. The kitchen is well-stocked with plenty of plates, bowls, pots/pans, etc. (though lacking wine glasses). We enjoyed morning coffee and afternoon cocktails on the back patio. The large fire pit was a nice perk too!
The "library" with the sofa bed is a small room off of the living room. No space to hang clothes and no luggage rack for your suitcase. It shares the fireplace with the living room, so you can see through the fireplace into the library/bedroom from the living room sofa. Also, the nearest bathroom from library is the powder room across the house. This is not an ideal space when guests need privacy or make frequent trips during the night to the bathroom. We switched some folks around and certainly made it work, but thought it's worth mentioning for those who like to plan room assignments ahead of time.
The man cave was a big hit.... Sylvia was super responsive and very easy to work with. This home did not disappoint!

Our group had 8 adults and 9 kids ranging in age from 5 - 15. The multiple bedrooms and separation of space was perfect for our group size and dynamic. The owner was responsive, the location was convenient, and we overall had a great stay.

Beautiful house in a great location hands down. Although it seems there is a lack of maintenance on the house for the price. I disconnected two smoke detectors that were chirping, which is not a big deal, but we also had a problem with the guesthouse toilet running all night, and not completely flushing the bowl clean. I reached out to the owner, and they suggested jiggling the chain. When I explained that we tried that every time it was flushed, and the bowl was still full of waste, the owner went silent for the rest of our stay. My sister and brother in law left a day early because they didn’t want to deal with the toilet any longer. It is an amazing house, that needs management to maintain, and accept some responsibility for keeping it in the advertised condition, rather than just cashing in on rental income.

This was the best experience I’ve had renting on VRBO so far. House was incredibly beautiful and spacious, and my guests absolutely loved the cozy fireplace den and the insanely fun mancave den. Kitchen was sufficently stocked, and the house is tech’d out with the latest in home automation. The rest of my fam was jealous when the saw the pics of this winter wonderland home.
Thanks you to the host who was very proactive with comms and extremely responsive

Stayed at this lovely home for a family birthday getaway/get-together.
Everything was great, but I will list a few tips/notes/suggestions:
- Didn’t get check-in instructions until the night before check-in. To me, this was too last-minute. Couldn’t go over in depth as I was busy driving/traveling that next day to location. Lots of rules, instructions, etc to go over.
- Master bedroom bed wasn’t made, and everything was on floor. Sylvia apologized (and gave us an extra hour to check out), for this inconvenience.
- Couldn’t figure out how to get man cave room projector system to work (and all of us are very technical).
- There was no outdoor furniture on the outside backyard area. Would have been nice to have large table and chairs.
- Living room is a combo living/dining room, so there is not a formal dining room in the home. We all ended up just eating around the kitchen area since the table in the living area only seated 8.
- Lots of train horn noise at all hours of the night, even with windows closed. Not much you can do about this.
- Some beds were not comfortable (guest house bedroom to be particular)- very “springy” and my family member was very unhappy and uncomfortable with this bed.
- Built-in wall night light in master bedroom is extremely bright and hard to sleep with.
- Lots of construction in the neighborhood. At least - dozen new homes being built nearby.
Besides all that, everything was great. Host reachable by text. Comfortable and inviting home, with beautiful views of Northstar. Fun hot tub and fire pit area. We cooked 4 meals and all was there that we needed in the fabulous kitchen. Cozy home with high ceilings. Hope to come back in winter.

What a beautiful cabin! We stayed at the house the entire weekend and did not leave once- the house had everything we needed from a spacious kitchen to do our home cooking to the massive playroom/man cave downstairs where the children played all day and later entertained the adults once many of the kids were down sleeping. There was so much room- we never felt crowded. The house was perfect for us so much so that we would love to book again for summer or any other family vacation here- next time for longer! Sylvia thank you for being so easy to work with and responsive. We appreciate it! We had the best time!

Sylvia's property exceeded our expectations. It was a perfect hangout not only for those who wanted to go to Northstar, but it left many activities for those to stay entertained throughout the weekend. Every room was utilized and loved throughout the weekend. It is everything in the pictures and much more. So many amazing memories were created at this stay. Would definitely love to visit again if given the chance.

The home was perfect for our large group of 18. Great location, comfortable and spacious. The Hot tub was a plus after long days on the slopes.
The communication with the owner was good, however the dishwasher did not work the entire trip, and the sound for the movie theatre would not work while watching. Other than that a great place snd stay.

Visiting Truckee during record-setting snow weather was made enjoyable because of this property. I don't see how we would have had a great time being shut-in during the snow storms if we had been at a hotel or any other property. This house is big, yet cozy. There are lots of rooms and spaces that made it fun exploring and discovering the house while shut-in due to the weather.
The big entertainment room really helped with the little kids, teenagers, and young adults. There's a large screen with projector for movies, pool table, video game machine with 80's games, like PacMan, Galaga, DigDug, etc., board games, a big shuffleboard, Xbox 360 console (I took an old Kinect device and games to use with the 360). There's plenty there to keep everyone entertained. There's also a Ping-Pong table in the garage.
Being in a golf resort, the house had lots of open space all around with big and small pine trees, made the more beautiful with all the snow falling and covering the trees. This was our first time vacationing in a place with snow. We were hoping we could get to experience snow, and we got more than what we hoped. We didn't have to drive anywhere (we couldn't anyway) to play in the snow, doing some sledding, snow fights, and building snowmen. Watching all the snow falling and flying from inside the house through its big windows all around, especially in the large family room with its high wooden ceiling and the fireplace, made it feel like we were inside a snow globe. It was beautiful.
The kitchen was big and had all the pots and pans, plates, cups, utensils, and everything you could need and more. There was both a Keurig and a drip coffee maker, with Ms. Foundas providing plenty of coffee pods and grounds to enjoy (I'm a coffee person, so I really enjoyed this, particularly with the weather). The fridge, stove, oven, microwave, everything was in working condition. We didn't use the dishwasher as we just washed dishes the good old way. There were plenty of us to help.
The bedrooms were comfy and plenty, including the separate little house. One caution is that in the main floor of the house, there's only one bedroom, the one with the two queen beds and bunk beds on top. The master bedroom and the other bedroom in the main house are up in the second floor which you reach via two sets of staircases. If physical mobility is not an issue for anyone, no worries. We had seniors and someone with knee issues, so beds took some figuring out.

Sylvia was straightforward, reasonable, and very easy to communicate with. The pictures don't do the house justice - every room seems to have thoughtful/unique touches that enhance the stay. Perfect location for a family gathering and the views are tough to beat. The kitchen is awesome. We're looking forward to another visit in the future!

This is a beautiful home in a wonderful place that reminds me of my childhood summer trips to Sunriver, Oregon. The home is super comfortable and has every amenity we could have imagined. My 10 year old daughter never once complained of boredom, there was so many different activities for her to do here. Highly recommended.

Sylvia's place is ideal for a small to medium sized group. There is plenty of space in the house to gather and hang out. The fire pit out back and the man cave were great spaces to enjoy between rounds of golf at Old Greenwood and Gray's Crossing. Sylvia and her property manager were great communicators and helped solve small issues like how to control the projector TV in the man cave and assist with a leaky faucet that was fixed immediately. Would highly recommend and would gladly stay again when visiting Truckee.

We had the most amazing stay at this beautiful Truckee Paradise! There was no expense spared when this home was built. As an interior designer I could appreciate all of the custom materials and touches used in every aspect of this home. Luxury at its finest. We ended up with 20 of us in total. We wanted to have the entire family under one roof to celebrate my birthday and my daughters 21st birthday. My mother has cancer and we really wanted to cherish our time together as an entire family. We had my parents who are in their 70’s in the stunning master suite. They loved all of luxury amenities in the master bathroom. The shower has at least 6 shower heads & massagers, copper soaking tub, and towel warmers. My husband and I stayed in the cozy guest house which was a perfect spot for zoom calls for work and classes for our college age kids. There was a bed for everyone on every floor. The man cave has a bar, pool table, shuffle board, projector, video games and sleeps 6. We had lots of fun here. The hot tub was great, bbq worked perfectly, plenty of parking for everyone, wolf appliances, plenty of pillows, blankets and towels. From the majestic ceiling beams and trim carpentry to the heated toilet seats every inch of this home screams custom. We made memories for a lifetime and we would absolutely return. Our host was amazing and responsive with every question and request. We will definitely stay here again.
