About this house rental
This beautifully renovated, 200-year-old home has everything you'll need for your vacation, in every season. It features three very spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen with a dining table for eight, washer/dryer, WiFi, board games, streaming movies and television, and a VCR with a broad selection of DVDs. We provide linens, towels, and other amenities.
The two-story rental sits above Local Fair, a boutique featuring local artisans on the historic main street in Jim Thorpe, and is a short walk from dozens of restaurants, shops, museums, bars, and art galleries. Take in a show at the Mauch Chunk Opera House or enjoy a leisurely meal at the Stone Row Pub & Eatery or Notch Eight Craft House, all just steps from our door. The house comes with up to three parking spaces—a true boon in the downtown area, where parking is scarce.
Jim Thorpe is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. In the spring, summer, and fall, take advantage of the region's world-class mountain biking; pedal 25 miles of the D&L Trail along the Lehigh River (accessible by scenic railway); jump into a whitewater rafting expedition, timed to the area's dam releases; or hike the gorgeous Glen Onoko Falls Trail. During the winter, use 101 Broadway as a cozy base for the Blue Mountain and Jack Frost ski areas, which are both less than 30 minutes away.
We have plenty of advice on ways to take advantage of this fabulous area. But please note that our home sits in the middle of the historic downtown and abuts our neighbors, so it would not be a good fit for groups aiming to use it as home base for a rowdy celebration. We prefer families and groups with six or fewer adults.

This home was perfect for our two night visit to Jim Thorpe. We walked everywhere except Pike's Peak concert venue which was an easy, short drive away.

This space was ideal for our family. It's clesn, there are plenty of beds and two full bathrooms.We didn't cook much but the kitchen is well-equipped. Instead we took advantage of the excellent location. Everything we wanted to see and do was a short walk. Park your car when you arrive and never drive it until you leave.

With an entrance off Race Street we were less than a minute walk to restaurants and the Opera House. I visited JT to run a race and my friends came to visit on race day. Having two full baths made this location perfect for us to quickly clean up after the race and get back out to play in JT. I will absolutely book this house again. After seeing the accommodations my friends said they’re spending the night next time we visit. There is a very small deck, perfect for silently doing Wordle with my morning cup of coffee. The tasteful decor was all so interesting and fun it seemed there was no end to memories these conversation pieces stired. I have been visiting JT my whole life and have stayed in a number of different locations and this is my new favorite. Oh, I almost forgot, it has the option to park up to THREE cars! Boom

Great spot full of outdoor adventure. Make sure to have a plan B for dining out, as the town is pretty much closed Monday-Wednesday from what we saw. Cool walking town!

We loved the location and had a wonderful time staying here. It was perfect for friends for a weekend and we sat on the back deck. All communication was super fast and the owners were very nice to deal with, even going above and beyond with outreaching to us. We hope to return and stay again in the future.

Perfect location and lots of comfort!
I can’t speak highly enough of our stay. The location of the home could not have been more perfect. This made it extremely convenient to step out and explore with children. We were able to walk across the street and access a cute walking trail (right behind the Opera House). We loved checking out all the super cute shops that were only steps away! Even though we were between the two main streets, the outside noise level was minimal and never an issue (even with little ones napping during the day). The home had extra things we needed for the kids, which was very convenient! The owners gave wonderful suggestions on things to do and answered all of our questions! We will definitely be staying here again!

Great Location and Communication!
The location of this property is great. It is located right in the middle of town. You can easily walk to the shops, restaurants, the train, and the Packer mansion. If you need a break from shopping or touring, the house is right there. The parking that is available with the house is a huge plus in Jim Thorpe. It is a clean residence. The communication with the owner is excellent. If anything comes up, you will receive a text. There is some street noise at the front of the house in the evenings, but it tends to quiet down as evening activities wind down. It was not a problem for our group. My friends really enjoyed the home. The living room is limited and is part of the general kitchen area - not a real lounging spot - but we did not spend a great deal of time sitting around. I have stayed here on a couple of occasions and not disappointed.

Fabulous Place! Highly recommend!
We just spent a wonderful weekend on a girls' trip in Jim Thorpe and the 5 of us (all teachers) were highly impressed with our stay. The beds (and pillows) were extremely comfortable, the rooms were spacious, and the owners were very communicative and accommodating. The location was centrally located in town and close to everything. It was also wonderful to have parking spots just for us! If we plan another trip to Jim Thorpe, we would definitely stay here again. Thank you for helping us to relax and recharge!

Best girls’ weekend yet!!
This is one of the best places we have stayed at!! My mom, sisters and I go on a girls trip once a year. I am so glad we stayed here. The place was immaculate and had everything we wanted/needed. Fabulous location in charming Jim Thorpe
This was our second stay and it was just as wonderful as we remembered it. The location makes it so easy to easily walk into the heart of town for the restaurants and shops. The unit is laid out in such a way as to allow for gathering around the table and living room . The bedrooms are comfortable and well equipped. The hosts are highly responsive. As the description states, this is not a good choice for those who cannot do steps but otherwise it seems about perfect. It was for us! We will definitely be back.

We had a great girls weekend in Jim Thorpe! Great place, comfy beds, we enjoyed the area, eating at Molly Maguire’s, hiking and binge watching Grace and Frankie on Netflix! Great place for our girls weekend! Only suggestion is some WD40 for the store on the first floor. You can hear every time the door opens/closes

Third year of girlfriends weekend
This is our third year renting this property. It’s truly the best. Whether your 2 people or 8, the place is very accommodating, it’s as good as or better then home. Once you park your car you never have to use it again, everything is within walking distance. Thank you for keeping this property on VRBO.

Beautiful Old Town Stay
The lodgings and neighborhood were delightful. The house had plenty of room for us and wonderful amenities. There was so much to do, and places to eat, that I wished we had stayed a couple more days.
We did white water rafting (my first time) and it was awesome. Everything was walkable so we mostly left our vehicle parked.
Our only regret was the the soap shop below us (Conjured) was closed while we were there. The wives were really wanting to check it out.
Otherwise we had a terrific time. Our host always responded to every question we had.
