We stayed at this property for a month while our house was being renovated and overall had a great stay. The house is so charming and in a lovely, very convenient location.
They supplied pretty much everything you would need (especially for a longer stay) but the kitchen was by far our favorite. It was extremely well stocked and had a great layout for us to cook family meals together.
Like most older homes in this area, we ran into some minor things like small leaks, pests, older appliances, etc. but the hosts were always very quick to respond and remedy any issue or even potential issue. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent property in a gorgeous neighborhood overlooking Lake Virginia and close to Rollins College
Beautiful cottage with lovely woodwork, built ins, French doors and upgraded appliances. Sheets and towels were new or like new. The location was excellent so close to town while overlooking Lake Virginia and Rollins College. An amazingly cozy cottage with trees all around to keep it cool.

Return to Winter Park
This is a great property with outstanding location. Properly described as Lake Virginia view, next to Rollins College beautiful campus and short walk to Park Ave. Wonderful walking neighborhood. My wife grew up here and we had a super return visit.

Daughter's wedding
My husband and I were in town for my daughter's wedding over the weekend. The house was perfect for her - and more of her friends than we expected - to prep for the wedding.
We enjoyed having all the family around the dining room table and gathered in the livingroom. On the actual day of the wedding, friends kept showing up to see my daughter or to 'help'. I did tell David that a neighbor had asked if we were having a party because of all the unexpected cars. Made me feel bad to have any of the neighbors possibly discombobulated, but David was very gracious and just said he would make sure they were OK.
The house is located in a lovely neighborhood, very quiet with a far off train tooting in the background. We had a very good time staying in this property and would recommend it.

Perfect in every way
Felt like our own vacation home-- as clean, as well equipped, and as easy to stay at as if it were our own! Thank you David for helping make our daughter's move in to Rollins so seamless!

Winter park
Location is great. Owners were great and very responsive. They were kind and let us check in a bit early and check out a bit late.
The place was very clean.
It really only sleeps 4 people instead of 6. The original online picture showed 2 additional twin beds that were not there. However the owner tried to be accommodating and brought over 2 REI camping beds that worked adequate for my 2 young daughters.
Overall would stay here again but would love for there to be a grill and 2 proper beds.
Thanks!

Amazing Craftsman a few blocks from Rollins College
I can not recommend this home enough. We traveled to Winter Park for the Rollins College Alumni Weekend and needed a place in easy walking distance to the campus, as well as, Park Avenue. It is a five minute walk to the campus and a ten minute walk to the Avenue...perfect for parents of students. The home has many original features from the Craftsman Era which will transport you back in time as soon as I cross the threshold. The lush neighborhood and view of Lake Virginia from the front yard is so tranquil. David, our host, could not have been more accommodating and the lockbox made our late evening arrival easy. I will be traveling back and forth to Winter Park in the coming years and hope this home is available each time.

Perfect charming little cottage
We had a great time. Impeccable house in a great location. Everything was perfect except the very loud train in the middle of the night and spotty internet service.

Great location and well cared for home!
David was very accommodating with our dynamic needs. The home was clean, ready early for us and had a beautiful back yard. There is a lake view from the front and the neighborhood is convenient to much of what Winter Park has to offer. Thank you for providing a quality rental in Winter Park.

beware of floor hazards- front door and hallway floors minimum 2" height difference drops
Nicely decorated, spacious old house with beautiful updates, comfortable beds. Stick to the wicker furniture, the couches sag and are comically difficult to get up out of.
My first step through the front door was a two inch drop from the thresh hold to the floor. Tore the medial meniscus and medial collateral ligament in my knee three days before my daughters wedding. The nice welcome book in the kitchen warned guests to watch their step on the way out of the front door... hum-there's a word lawyers use for that.... I Couldn't fully participate in the wedding which is very sad for us. These are very painful injuries, months of physical therapy and possible surgery. Another difference in floor heights is in the hallway, 2" or more. Other guests in our party stumbled on these areas more than once. Lake view is from the end of the street if you want to walk it's only two houses down. Very quiet and safe neighborhood. Didn't know there is a second residence in back of this property- their 3 cars use the same driveway as this house.

Charming home in a quiet, lovely location next to Lake Virginia. House has everything you need.
My husband and I stayed at this home for four nights with my 29 year old niece and her fiancé. We all loved the house and location and we had a really fun visit together here. The house is beautifully decorated and restored. There are comfortable spots in the house to spend together or apart. The two bedrooms and baths are separated enough to give each couple a feeling of privacy. We spent two days at theme parks and the remainder of our time walking to town and through the campus from the house. It’s very walkable even in the heat of summer. The neighborhood is very quiet and any residents we encountered on our walks were friendly and welcoming. We wanted to stay somewhere that would feel removed from the theme parks and congestion of Orlando, yet easy to commute back and forth. Winterpark was a perfect spot for us. I think the house would be a fun place to gather for a girls’ get together. There are other small towns and state parks nearby that would be fun to explore on another stay. And you could easily do a day trip to the beach.

Enjoyable, and pleasant. Just a couple things...
We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. I rented this out for our stay in Winter Park for our daughter's graduation from college, and if I ever plan a trip back to this area I would definitely stay here again.
This is a lovely high end house within walking distance to Park Ave. in Old Town Winter Park where you can enjoy the many restaurants and or shops that call Park Ave. home. The lake is right out the front door and offers great opportunities for catching an early sunrise or the occasional lightning show.
While I never met the owners in person; they were very prompt and willing to accommodate us and our needs. The house and yard are quite lovely and relaxing, the only issue is that the floors while being beautiful wood floors are a little slick to walk on. The kitchen is a VERY nice gourmet style set up, however if I could change one thing it would be to have it stocked just a bit more with the basics for people traveling. There is some really great equipment in the kitchen (i.e. juicer, high end blender) a nice coffee station; but could use a few more pots and pans as well as utensils for cooking purposes and a few basic pantry staples that people don't always think to pick up.
All in all we really enjoyed our stay here and we would reserve again if in the area.

Charming Home
This home is charming and reminds me of old Florida. The neighborhood is so nice and very quiet! We were in old town in five minutes by car as we drove around the lake. The view of the lake from the front porch is also very nice.
The house is clean and spacious, very comfortable. Kitchen is really nice and has everything you might need.
