Our family had a great stay at La Petite Cassette.
The house was roomy and comfortable. We enjoyed the beach that was very easy to get to. We really loved the pool in the back yard and the screened in patio. The host was incredibly helpful with any questions we had.

This was our second time staying at this property. The house is beautiful and historic, yet still cozy. It was very clean. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. The pool is very nice and private. It is a very short golf cart ride to the beach, as well as Old Town BSL. Golf carts can be rented from the owners and are located at the house for a very reasonable price. The owner (Mary Ellen) is extremely helpful and accommodating. Overall, my family and I have had two wonderful and relaxing vacations at this house and will definitely be returning in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay at the house in Bay St Louis, Ms. Enjoyed the nostalgia of the place. Neighbor was nice and a close walk to the beach. My mistake, thought the pool was heated. Mary Ellen was just a phone call away to answer any questions about the house. Only thing that caught us off guard was using the oven it cause the smoke alarm in dinning area to go off. We opened door leading out to the screened in porch and that helped a lot. It was located to high on the wall in dinning area for us to reach it. Over all very nice place and we enjoyed our stay.

Such an adorable, historic little house in a quiet neighborhood of Bay St Louis. Had everything we needed PLUS a swimming pool (bonus!). Beds were very comfortable furnishings were very beautiful and cozy. Huge front porch with rocking chairs and lots of great amenities available (bicycles, golf carts for rent… and lots of games and books inside too!). Great communication with the owner and responded promptly to all our queries. Just an overall great time and place!

The home was very charming and had lots of character. We had 2 adults and three kids ages 6-17yrs old and had plenty of space. Short walk to the beach area and the golf cart available to rent was a huge plus. We enjoyed rides into town on the golf cart to have a meal and enjoy all the great shops around Bay St. Louis. The pool was a huge plus. Mrs Mary was great and always a phone call away. We will be back!

We took a trip here for my daughter’s birthday. It was the perfect get away. There was plenty to do if we wanted to hang around in the cozy, charming cabin, it was walking distance to w beautiful beach as well as cute, boutique shops and restaurants, and driving distance for adventures in the Big Easy. The owner was so accommodating and welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed for the perfect family vacation. The pool was clean and spacious and the property was very well maintained.

We discovered the Mississippi Gulf Coast a few years ago. It’s the perfect way to extend a Florida beach vacation. Bay St Louis has become one of our favorite get away places.
Creole Cottage is lovely. The location is super convenient to restaurants and shopping. The decor is so interesting. We enjoyed the beautiful pool, the screened porch and the sunroom.
Tip: rent the golf cart. This area is undergoing so much restoration, it’s enjoyable riding around the streets.

Our family had a lovely time during our stay in this home. We loved that it was on the National List of Historical Places! Plenty of outside living area including a very nice pool. We enjoyed the closeness to the beach and town and were able to navigate easily with our golf cart. Would recommend this home to anyone desiring to stay in the old Bay St. Louis area.,

Very nice and comfortable place. Well equipped kitchen and 20 minute walk to many shops and restaurants. The only downside was maintenance employees coming by unannounced, just didn’t give a total sense of privacy.

We rented this location specifically for the pool as our granddaughters (ages 9 and 12) both are on youth swim teams.
They spent every minute they could in the pool. The home is very quaint, clean, comfortable, and was perfect for the four of us. The location is close to downtown Bay St. Louis and the gulf beaches.

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful home, full of interesting art and charm. Our small pup loved the enclosed yard and we enjoyed the pool and screened porch. Parking was easy, it’s a short walk to the beach, and a quick bike/drive to Old Town. Would recommend.

The historic house, landscaping, pool, neighborhood, and BSL area were far greater than imagined. We rented both the main house and upper guest quarters for a very comfortable visit with family. The collection of mostly local artwork had us out shopping. Great collection of books and cookbooks to enjoy. The quiet established neighborhood was easy distance to restaurants, shopping, and a few blocks to water. Lots of kayak opportunities close by kept us busy, as well. Super communication with Mary Ellen, who made us feel very welcome. Breakfast on the screened porch, kayak mid day, lunch out, pool late afternoon, dinner in the dining room, followed by card games or tv .... All made for a perfectly relaxing trip. If you like old buildings, art, and the outdoors, this is the place for you.

The owner of this VRBO couldn’t have been more gracious. She checked on us several times to determine if we had everything we needed. She even located another property for us when we arrived a day ahead of schedule. The pool at this location was nice. The decor was aligned to the period of the house. It was a quiet location close to everything we needed.

The house is very nice inside and very roomy. It was so hot out that little time was spent outside during the day. Pool was there to cool off in the late afternoon which was great for the kids. The screen in porch was nice to sit in with no bugs. I would love to go back when the weather is cooler and spend more outside time exploring the area. We had a great time just being able to spend time with each other.

Magical beach cottage with an amazing pool
We organized a girls trip belated birthday weekend in bay St. Louis but wanted a pool and a dog friendly property. This exceeded our expectations at every step. The online photos don’t do the amazing decor of this property justice. Everything about it feels homey, comfortable and like the perfect beach house you would want to entertain your family and friends in. The property is larger than expected and very clean and well appointed. The pool is a perfect gathering place with shady and sunny spots and the screened in porch the perfect place for an evening meal after a long day in the sun. Will definitely book another stay at this enchanted house. The check in process was seamless and the free to use beach cruiser bikes and rentable golf carts just added to the perfection of this vacation rental. Thank you so much Mary Ellen for this perfect weekend.

Beautiful New Orleans style Cottage on a quiet street close to the beach
This beautiful pet friendly restored cottage was our home away from home. Swimming pool has just been resurfaced ready for the summer. The beach is within walking distance or rent one of Mary Ellen's carts to tour the quaint little town. This home and this area is so beautiful and peaceful. Our dogs enjoyed the huge yard as well as the dog friendly beaches and shops. The wifi is also super fast. Every television in the house has a Roku for streaming for those times when you just want to relax and catch up on some shows. Mary Ellen is very prompt to respond to any questions. She has made our stay wonderful and relaxing. This was our first stay at her cottage, but we will return as often as we can to this hidden little gem. Thank you so much Mary Ellen!

Peaceful, beautiful, and quiet.... just what we wanted!
We very much enjoyed staying in this refurbished, historic home as well as roaming through Bay St. Louis. The house has such a peaceful atmosphere that we felt like we were on a retreat. The weather was too cool to use the inground pool, but it was spotless and the fenced yard was perfect for my little pooch.

Sweet stay in Bay St. Louis
This was our 1st time to Bay St Louis. The cottage has a great layout and is very close to the beach. Lots of room to spread out and relaxed. We were on a "working" vacation- the internet/wifi was great. There's even a little built in desk in one of the bedrooms that I made "my office" for the week. The weather was perfect (but not quite warm enough for swimming in the pool) The cottage is walking distance to Old Town, the beach and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back.

New Orleans at the Beach
This lovely shotgun feels so much like New Orleans. The Oak trees, ginger, St Aug Lawn, and sweet olive shrubs surrounding this historic cottage makes it feel like you are in NOLA. The house is adorable furnished, the beds comfortable, and the kitchen stocked with whatever utensil you might need. It was so nice to have dish soap, laundry detergent, spices and even shampoo so you didn't have to bring all of that with you. We sat on the porch every morning to drink our coffee and watch the people walk by. We used the bikes several times. The walk to the beach was quick. Our dogs had a great time as well.
