Allen cottage is very comfy. Everything we needed. Good stroll into town with our furry friend - along the beach or track. Had a relaxing weekend. Thanks. Pia and Lester.

Paid for dog friendly place and no secure area for dog outside. Very inconvenient.
No dishwasher, which is disappointing when on holiday.
A bit far from Lorne.

Good Value for money. property very clean and homey .. lovely view of ocean between the gums. visited by Kookaburras and Cockatoos, even saw a large kangaroo amongst the trees. a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. I was able to bring my small dog which made me very happy.

I loved this little beach house. Next to bushland with a view of the ocean through the gum leaves. It combines bush/beach stay feel. Up high on a hill. A short walk to the beach (down a very steep hill - but that's Lorne) This place is well maintained, clean and unpretentious. It had everything we needed for a comfortable relaxing get away.

The house was well equipped with kitchen stuff and useful things like BBQ. The outdoor areas were great especially the two verandas. There was both aircon and a wood-fired heater. The street frontage is a quiet cul de sac although there is a surprisingly busy road that you can hear from the front bedroom. The place is gettibg a bit dated but still comfortable.

Tucked away, peaceful but up a steep hill!
The property was reasonably clean on arrival.
Slightly odd floor plan, not overly spacious.
Fold out bed not great to sleep on.
Located a little bit away from the town and up a very steep hill. We found we had to drive to the bottom of the hill and park and then walk to town.
Overall ok but we'll book earlier next time to have a bit more choice.

Relaxing, rustic getaway in the gum trees
My husband, fur babies and I enjoyed staying the rustic property, surrounded by gum trees with ocean glimpses from the balcony. It has everything you need for a digital-free, back to nature, recharging holiday. Just remember to look in the cupboards as, if you think you need something, it's probably there somewhere :) Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great little place for a short getaway
Property was nice. Pretty spot with very friendly bird life demanding attention - lucky we found the birds seed to appease them. Property had everything we needed.
Only negatives were :
- we stayed during the week so noticed morning traffic was very close to the house.
- beds were too soft. We tried both beds and ended up sleeping on the floor.

Another relaxing stay at Allen Cottage
This was our second time staying at Allen Cottage and it was once again a peaceful, relaxing stay amongst the gum trees and close to the dog beach. It has now been great for both a winter and summer holiday.

Quiet, family and dog friendly beach cottage
My partner and I stayed here for a mini break with our dog. Clean accommodation, everything as described. Lovely spot to sit on the deck with partial views of the ocean looking one way and backing onto bush the other way. Would stay again.

Delightful clean getaway cottage
Immaculately clean, cosy cottage surrounded by forest with views of the water. Generously provisioned with kitchen and cleaning items and wood for the fire. A perfect getaway for our family in winter.

Great home for family including 🐾
House was spotless, lovely & warm with good heating & wood fire. Shower & Basin next to 1 br & toilet in laundry next to other br & the br’s are at opposite ends of the house. Plenty of hot water. Big windows onto the bush & ocean in the distance. Large veranda & great bbq. Handy to walk to end of street & be at the dog friendly beach; steep walk to the house but only short. We had a fab time & would recommend.

Perfect weekend getaway with our fur baby
We loved the open fireplace and the fact that we were allowed to bring our dog Jack. The property is on a hill with sea view which is beautiful. Short stroll to the beach, but about a 15-20 minute walk into Lorne town, which we enjoyed and didn’t bother us. Great little cottage ;)
