About this cottage rental
Our absolutely gorgeous bright and cheery home is the ultimate holiday getaway! Tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished, close to Myall River, boat ramp and a short walk to the surf beach and magical Jimmy’s beach.
This gorgeous holiday home is suitable for 6 guests (additional bedding can be provided upon request) and has ducted air conditioning with an open plan living and a gas log fire for those chilly nights. The front porch and back deck with outdoor dining are fabulous entertaining areas to rest and relax. The outdoor living area is great for entertaining and has a gas BBQ, outdoor setting and Adirondack chairs with fully fenced yard and outdoor shower. The home is tastefully decorated with a relaxed coastal theme with polished floorboards throughout the house. A comfortable sofa modular and lounge chair makes for a relaxing position after a day at the beach. The dining room has a wooden table with seating for 6 and the kitchen has Caesarstone bench tops with Miele dishwasher, French door refrigerator with water dispenser and ice maker. The Cappuccino machine makes the best coffee and beans are supplied.
Our beautiful beach house is fully equipped for your holiday with every little detail thought of. Additionally, the free Internet ensures you can rest & relax watching a great movie on Netflix or choose from one of the many DVD’s on selection on the large 65 inch TV with surround sound.
We supply a large selection of kitchen and laundry items for your use including oils, balsamic vinegar, cling wrap, foil, baking paper, tea towels, dishwasher tablets, cloths and washing powder.
Beautifully renovated bathroom with freestanding bath, caesarstone vanity and there are 2 toilets in the home. A recent renovation is the combined shower, toilet and laundry located in a separate dwelling near the back deck.
There are three bedrooms beautifully decorated with coastal, natural theme utilising gorgeous linens, feather doonas and soft pillows. The main bedroom has a queen sized bed (sleeps 2), the second bedroom also has a queen (sleeps 2) then the third bedroom has a double bed and a single bed (sleeps 2). Bed linen & bath towel provided.
Maximum 6 people (adults & children).
Conveniently located with a short walk to Bennett's and Jimmy's beaches, restaurants, shops, the golf club and close to access the bridge which crosses over to Tea Gardens where you will get great coffee by the waters edge. A picnic rug and basket with plastic plates and cups are provided for you to enjoy BBQ's at one of the many spots around the waters edge.
All linen provided including bed linen, bath towels, hand towels and bath mat. Beach towels can be provided at an extra cost.

We had a wonderful relaxing weekend stay at the beautiful Serenity cottage in Hawks Nest. Lyn was so lovely to correspond with and kindly offered both early check in and late check out. We arrived to a delicious selection of cheese and crackers, bubbly, eggs, milk, granola, yummy chocolates, fresh coffee and fresh fruit for breakfast juicing, plus a generously stocked pantry too! We cooked fresh local fish and veggies on the bbq. The huge outside seating area overlooks a beautiful private sunny garden.
Serenity cottage was a perfect stay for us, beautifully styled, immaculately clean and super cosy and warm even during a sunny but chilly weekend and probably has the best stocked holiday cottage we have ever stayed in, Lyn has simply thought of everything you could possibly need to make the stay perfect! Very comfy beds too with gorgeous sheridan linen and plenty of extra snuggly blankets if needed. We could highly recommend a stay at Serenity cottage for a peaceful, relaxing, luxury stay. What an absolute find this property was. Exceptionally presented. Very stylish furnishings. A well stocked kitchen. The beds were incredibly comfortable. Nice little touches here and there made it feel like home. I would definitely recommend ‘Serenity’ to family and friends.

What a beautiful place to stay. We usually stay on the beach when we go to Hawks Nest but this place is so lovely and serene and only 1 minute drive to the beach (which is actually easier than walking across the road to the beach with all the gear).
The house had everything we needed and even more - the amenities the host included were so generous and thoughtful.
Would definitely stay here again - such a beautiful house, everything seemed new. Linens were country road and Sheridan, and the beds were so soft. It was like a luxury hotel stay, but at Hawks Nest. The deck out the back was perfect for relaxing with a drink, and our toddler absolutely loved the house and the large, flat backyard for playing in.

there is nothing to fault at this property - a lot of thought has gone into the set up of the home with everything considered. The hosts were easy to liaise with. Plenty of room, plenty of little extras that made the stay extra special. Would suit family or a group of couples. Would highly recommend and close to beach and shops. We had a lovely three night stay at Lyn & Rod’s. This house is well set up for families with a huge flat backyard, heaps of great toys and activities, and a convenient bedroom and bathroom configuration. Super close to shops/amenities and a short drive from the two beaches.

We rented this gorgeous cottage for a Summer holiday with our family and infant granddaughter…….The house was beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. Every luxury was included, even chocolates, fresh coffee and champagne to enjoy.
We enjoyed relaxing on the beautiful verandah and in the backyard, and when we could tear ourselves away, the river was down the road, great coffee shops around the corner, and the beach a short walk from the house.

Serene clean comfort in Hawks Nest
Great location and very well appointed holiday house. The kitchen was well stocked and the house is beautifully presented. We made excellent use of the outdoor back deck and the outdoor shower. Great location, close to shops, short walk to river and comfortable jog to the beach.

The care and thought that has been put into this property is exceptional which makes it the perfect spot for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. Everything from the super comfortable beds through to very well equiped kitchen makes this place amazing - plus all the extra touches that take it to the next level.

Our host Lyn went above and beyond with attention to detail in every room and soo many special extras including an early checkin time. We enjoyed our family weekend stay and our grandkids loved the big back garden. The two decks are spacious and beautifully furnished. Perfect family stay
Serenity is a beautiful house that feels like home. Incredibly well equipped for a family holiday, and beautifully styled. Lyn is an exceptional host who made sure that there were appropriate toys in the house for my small children as well as leaving chocolates and wine for the adults. Great location too, quiet street very close to shops and cafe, and a walk or short drive to 2 beautiful beaches. 100% recommended.

A lovely quiet cottage totally suited for a relaxing break away from the city. Close to the shops and not far from the beach, it's well appointed, with stylish interiors and very comfortable.
We loved the quality linen and towels (a rarity) as well as the equipment (had fun with the espresso machine). It has a great (traditional Aussie) backyard for kids to play around that complements the excellent gas BBQ out on the generous deck.
The welcome package was much appreciated by the family and this extra touch is not surprising once you've communicated with Lyn - the wonderfully friendly and informative host.

Relaxing holiday in a great location, with everything you need for the perfect getaway
My husband and I visited Hawks Nest with our three children for the first time and were not disappointed. Hawks Nest itself is a wonderful location and we enjoyed the beautiful beaches so close to the house, loved being able to walk and ride everywhere and were even treated to many sightings of dolphins! The house itself provides the perfect relaxing getaway with everything you need and more. Lyn is a fabulous host, lovely to communicate with and all the little treats and added comforts made it even more enjoyable. It was a resounding yes from the whole family when asked if we were returning next year! Thanks for a great holiday.

Perfect house for a relaxing beach holiday!
The house is beautifully renovated in a chic beach style with lots of added extras to make you feel at home. Right from the time of enquiring and then booking our stay Lyn could not have been more accommodating and friendly and was keen to help make our stay at Serenity memorable. There were so many lovely little extras on arrival, including the fresh bag of coffee beans and coffee machine to the chocolates and champagne adding to the enjoyment of our stay. The house is in a great location and close to the beautiful Bennett’s and Jimmy’s beaches as well as the golf course. There’s also a great back garden for the kids to play. A wonderful place to stay in a perfect location.
My wife, son and I had a great time staying at Serenity. The home is wonderful and has everything you could need. The house is beautifully styled and so comfortable. The back deck is a great place to sit and relax. It’s also walking distance to the local shops and restaurants so we enjoyed takeaway on two nights. We can’t recommend this home enough. Lyn and Rob went out of their way to make sure our stay was great, as we were travelling with a baby they even borrowed a high chair from a neighbour. Great hosts. Great house. Great location. We can’t wait to stay again.

our stay enjoyable and we wanted for nothing, from the fully equipped kitchen inc cappuccino machine to the little extras that were a lovely surprise!
You can hear the waves in the distance as you drift off to sleep at this gorgeous house and if you run out of coffee the IGA is just round the corner.
Situated a few blocks back from the beach was a bonus as the area is quiet, not busy with cars etc and we could walk to Tea Gardens so the location was a perfect balance of beachside and lakeside. Highly recommended!

Beautifully renovated house in a fabulous position close to Bennett's Beach, Jimmy's Beach and shops. Very tastefully decorated to give you a lovely relaxed feeling. Incredibly well equipped with everything you need for a stress free stay. Bathrooms are very new and modern. The owners are very accommodating and lovely to communicate with. A wonderful week at the beach.
