Use this as your luxurious home away from home. Venture out to enjoy the farm fresh flavours of Healdsburg Plaza's many top rated restaurants and local organic markets. Cook up a storm in the HUGE fully-stocked kitchen.
Expand your knowledge of Sonoma's phenomenal wines. Healdsburg is where three well known appellations meet: Russian River, famous for big, rich, Pinot Noir's; Dry Creek, known for Zinfandels; and Alexander Valley, for its high-elevation Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah; and all three for superb Chardonnay. Enjoy this magical place with your family and friends, sharing wonderful meals and starlit evenings. Then sink into fabulous bedding in complete peace and quiet until waking up to another day in paradise.
A bit of planning is called for if you are to explore dozens of nearby wineries and still have time for cycling, hiking, shopping, visiting the Sonoma coast, and enjoying all the wonderful things Sonoma has to offer. Uber has arrived, adding another option to wine-country exploring!
More about our Garden: Peaceful, private, large and sun-filled, with landscaping that creates zen-like tranquility. An amazing surprise in the heart of town, handy to all the town square has to offer (restaurants, shops, farmers markets, gourmet and organic grocery stores, and, of course, wine tasting). You feel the peace of total privacy once you step into the garden. With views to enjoy, you can wander into the year-round herb garden, or pick your own sun-ripened cherry tomatoes, to supplement your culinary activities. Help yourself to Meyer lemons, oranges, limes in season, and watch the walnut tree ripen! Seasonal highlights change, but this garden is beautiful all year long.
Am I Inside or Out: California living at its best, the house flows onto decks and into the garden. The decks are designed to provide dappled shade, comfortable even in the summer sunshine, plus heaters to ward off the early morning or late evening chill. The French doors pull you into the garden, the house seamlessly flows outside, making the living and entertaining space enormous. Inside feels like a stylish loft - open, with comfy down-filled sofas to relax in with a book and glass of wine. Beautiful antiques, Persian carpets on the dark hardwood floors, and stylish ice-blue walls, make you want to stay forever. Bring your i-Phone and fill the house with the music that you love the most. Dimmer switches throughout and beautiful lighting lets you set the mood that you want. A real wood-burning fireplace in the living room banishes any cool evenings, while you watch Direct TV or a streaming service, or nestle into the den and flip through cook-books planning tomorrow's gourmet adventure.
Bedroom Choices/Kitchen Delight: Bedrooms: Hate to decide who gets the nicest bedroom? This house is perfect! It has two master suites and a third bedroom with a beautiful full bathroom right across the hall! Three couples can enjoy total privacy and each be in love with their own room.
Kitchen: The heart of any home, ours is a gourmet entertainer's dream - Gas Range, with grill, two ovens, and two huge sinks, plus loads of counter space. For us, cooking is a group activity - plenty of room for all who want to pitch in! For the spectators, bar stools overlook the action. A few steps take you to the covered barbecue area, and the choice of an outside dining table or beautiful indoor dining. Everything you need is at hand - from high-end Henkel knives, Calphalon pots and pans, to Sophie Conran china (service for 12), cloth napkins, beautiful serving dishes, and a Nespresso coffee machine that turns out espresso, cappuccino, and more! A chef's dream, the perfect place to create delicious meals together to accompany the spectacular wines you've just discovered.
This Healdsburg home is magical - romantic and serene with beautiful surroundings inside and out. Classic California easy living with a house that opens into a private garden. Use our yoga mats to start the day with yoga on the deck while watching the sun rise. End the day with a glass of wine on our elegant lounging furniture looking at the golden sun set over a beautiful open sky. In-between go exploring, on foot, by bicycle, or by car - you'll be occupied with restaurants, tasting-rooms and shops, but it takes only minutes to be in the countryside, with endless choices of country roads to find and follow! The night sky is full of stars, and the garden has subtle landscape lighting, so tuck yourself into the outdoor jacuzzi tub and stargaze in a way that simply isn't possible in a city. If you want to combine rest and exercise (the ultimate way to return home refreshed) it is so easy, take the bikes for a spin, use our racquets to play tennis at Giorgi Park, or take a hike on the well marked trails at the nearby Healdsburg Ridge Open Space Preserve.
Calling all cyclists: Healdsburg is made for cyclists of all levels. We have six Trek bicycles that you can use and there are two bike rental shops in town, or, if you are elite cyclists, bring your own! You can mosey along the gently rolling hills of Dry Creek Valley (our favourite ride is out West Dry Creek Road and back on Dry Creek Road - either a 12 mile loop or a 22 mile loop - both of which are spectacular). Zoom up to Geyserville, or use our maps to find the super challenging hills! If the concept of exercise is better than the reality - cycle to The Quail and Condor Bakery, or Costeaux or Little Saint for breakfast, or take yourself to one of the nearby wineries for a picnic!
Amazing restaurants and wineries: Check them out - wonderful wines from Russian River Valley, Dry Creek Valley, Alexander Valley, Chalk Hill, Knights Valley, Napa Valley and Anderson Valley are all a beautiful easy drive from your home-base! You can stroll into town and enjoy world-class restaurants including the new and highly acclaimed Single Thread (warning - book ahead and be prepared to participate in a truly amazing, but expensive, evening), also acclaimed are Dry Creek Kitchen, Valette, The Madrona, The Matheson and their rooftop bar Roof 106. For more casual dining, but with truly amazing food and ambiance, our favourites include Bravas (Spanish tapas, with an amazing back garden and bar), Lo & Behold (small plates perfect for sharing), Barn Diva (Farm to Table, beautiful garden seating, and an incredibly stylish bar and restaurant inside), Molti Amici (a stunning new Italian restaurant, with a fun back garden including bocce courts), and Willi's Seafood (small plates, amazing ceviche, and a very fun bar!) If you want to venture further afield, Diavolo in Geyserville has arguably the best pizza in the world - and they make their own sausages. Cyrus has reopened in Geyserville - already with a Michelin star! And it is easy to explore the emerging restaurant scene in the hamlets along the Russian River, or take Hwy 128 over the top to Napa - and visit the stylish Solange, or Greystone at the Culinary Institute of America, or many others like Bouchon, Bistro Jeanty and RH Kitchen further away in Yountville. Tip - drive the Silverado Trail not Hwy 29 through Napa Valley - way prettier, and possibly faster by skipping in-town Napa traffic jams (or just stay in the prettier and more relaxing Sonoma Valley)! If you have an Electric Vehicle, we have a Level 2 charging port.

There's no better way to experience Sonoma County and the town of Healdsburg than by spending a month at this property.
The house is so well stocked with everything you need. It's an easy walk to the plaza (or you can ride on their bikes!). The hosts are delightful. Plus the outdoor space is an amazing place to entertain or simply relax.
Do yourself a favor and book this property!

The pictures on VRBO don’t dojustice to this beautiful home. There was plenty of room & space to provide privacy for friends & family that visited during our stay. Our favorite gathering place was the deck. We spent some afternoons & most evenings on the deck. The grill served us well during our stay & the heaters came in handy on cool nights.
Morris & Fiona could not be more gracious & thoughtful hosts. Very easy to communicate with and we always received prompt replies. Modesta was also very easy to communicate with and was thorough in showing us the house and the amenities.
We’ve stayed in so many VRBO’s over the years and this one is by far the very best!we can’t wait to return!

Dreamhouse Summer Getaway
Our stay was wonderful and the pictures don't do the house justice. From the minute we walked in we were living a dream. The house layout flows really well, it is much larger than the pictures seemed, and great indoor/outdoor connection. The kitchen was very well stocked, great tools, and well organized. The Master suite was heaven, and slept with the doors open most nights. I loved waking up to the sunlight coming in from the skylights. It was a bit too warm to enjoy the fireplace, but did a lot of yoga and working out in the space. The other 2 bedrooms are great space, and the den was was perfect for working from home. But the deck and outside are where we spent most of our time. The site sit's elevated, and has a great view of Fitch mountain (be sure to get up to catch the sunrise). We ate outside most nights, enjoyed the grill and harvesting: lettuce, tomatoes, squash, and herbs from the garden. A lot of reading, relaxing, and wine drinking as well. There are great lights and heaters for nightime. Took advantage of the "Gear" garage with a number of bike rides and there are mats, weights, bands, etc...
We live in San Francisco and love Healdsburg, it's an easy drive when we needed to commute back for work. Also, had a number of friends and family visit and no one wanted to leave. BTW - Everyone commented on the amazing shower heads!
It is a pleasant walk into town through the very charming neighborhood and close access to so many wineries & the different valley's.
Fiona and Morris were great throughout the process and easy to reach if needed. Modesta did such a great job of checking us in and showing us the house that we never needed to reach out to her.
Can't wait to come back!

Wonderful stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at this spacious and beautiful property. The outdoor space and garden were lovely and the location ideal for going into town. The house is well stocked with everything one may need. The hosts are very responsive and accommodating as well as provided thoughtful suggestions on activities and restaurants in the area.

Wonderful property...
We stayed two months in this home during the summer and thoroughly enjoyed everything about it!! We especially loved the outdoor spaces...very private, beautifully landscaped and quite serene. The outdoor shower was the best...I don't think we took more than 2-3 showers indoor throughout our stay!! Home was extremely well equipped with everything you could ever need to have a great stay!! The owners are awesome and attentive to every need...when needed anything, they were there for us, including recommendations for restaurants, wineries, etc. Overall, it was a magical stay. We loved the home and loved Healdsburg!!

Wonderful, restful, well located home
We really loved being in this home. It is spacious, immaculately kept and lovely, and has many amenities, including an outdoor shower and a restful, comfortable outdoor space. The kitchen is wonderful and large, with lots of counter space for working, two large sinks, several sets of high quality pots and pans, lots of dishes, platters, serving bowls, glasses, wine glasses and other stemware, a large variety of spices, whisks, mixing bowls, cutting boards, good knives, and almost every type of equipment you might need to cook or bake. The bedrooms are good sized with comfortable beds. And the outside space is lovely, with a table for six, a grill, a garden with flowers, basil, rosemary, tomatoes and other edibles. The outside space also has heaters for after sunset when it can get cool.
The house is around a mile from the center of town, and near many wineries and tasting rooms. Healdsburg has several great restaurants. Even though we were there for five weeks, we didn't get to all of them. And there are two great grocery stores a very short drive away.
Finally, the owners were a good source of information, and always gracious. Our stay couldn't have been nicer.

The owners do everything possible to make you feel at home.
The home is well stocked with everything from Aveda shower products to a 5 star gourmet kitchen. We enjoyed staying at this convenient location for a month, and when weather permitted, we walked easily to nearby restaurants and shops.
People who prefer firm mattresses will enjoy the wonderful bedding, and sunny master bedroom skylights.
We had a fantastic time at this great property.

Heaven in Healdsburg
The photos hardly do justice to this beautiful, stylish and immaculate home. I'd rate higher than 5 stars if I could. This has been our 4th rental to this very comfortable and relaxing Healdsburg property. It’s both close to town and outdoor activities. Whether visiting vineyards, walking to town to explore the shops and restaurants, or biking the nearby terrain, this beautifully appointed and well maintained home is a jewel. There's an herb garden and gourmet kitchen for the creative chef, the scent of lavender and rosemary on the shaded patio, as well as landscaping that's a feast for the eyes. The owners have thoughtfully provided every creature comfort with style and charm. We can't wait to return next year.

Luxury and Amenities!!
Wow, our family of 5 had a wonderful 4 day stay at this home! Barbara was so gracious and welcoming. The pictures of the house can not convey the warm atmosphere and luxury appointments. Every inch is maintained immaculately and every convenience was thought of (great sheets, fluffy robes, wood for the fireplace, and a kitchen that was so much fun). Barbara invited us to enjoy the bountiful cherry tomato plants on the deck, what a treat with our afternoon glass of wine. We were the envy of everyone we rode by on the bikes that were at our disposal. the convenience to town whether walking or biking can't be beat. Thank you for sharing your home!!

Wonderful Stay!
What a beautiful home, and great location! We enjoyed the back patio / outdoor kitchen area, and the house was easy walking distance (~15min) to the square downtown. Quiet neighborhood, great amenities and we will most likely be back on our next trip to Healdsburg! House manager was knowledgeable and helpful.

40th wedding celebration/vacation perfection!
My husband, two adult children and their spouses, and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. We toured wineries everyday, drove to the bay, took a bike tour and visited the redwoods. The location was central to everything, and the lovely home and yard allowed us to enjoy morning coffee on our own schedules, gave us plenty of space, and we could relax in the evening when we were too tired to go out. The house had everything we needed, and it was such a help when Barbara met us there to go through the house. Although we only used the bikes twice it was great to have them available. We encountered one problem with the water heater but a quick call to Barbara solved the problem. We would love to go back and stay at the same place again and have some friends who would love to go along on the next trip. Certainly we would not want to stay anyplace else. THIS house and yard made the entire trip absolutely amazing! Thank you for allowing to use your piece of paradise (although our Florida Panhandle beaches aren't bad!)

Better than expected
we've stayed at Healdsburg's leading hotels. this time we decided to try a house. it'll be tough to go back to a hotel. there were four of us, two couples. this house is better than you expect. the large kitchen/great room is great for cooking and visiting. the bedrooms are well sized, especially the master suite (that we lucked-out and got). there is nothing negative about this listing. my wife and i were already lamenting the fact that we're not there right now while we view our photos. it's a stunning residence. Barbara, the house manager, is great. she sets you up. leaves you alone, but is there ready to answer any questions (we only had two). let me clear up one thing: i read in some of the reviews that it's "a close walk into Healdsburg." this house is in Healdsburg, it's just not on the square which is where the hotels, restaurants, tasting rooms, etc. are located. this house is within an easy walk to all this. it's about eight blocks from the square. we will be back. highly recommended!

Loved the House!
This house was perfect. It was great for 3 couples. The location was excellent - nice walk into Healdsburg, close to so many wineries. The house was immaculate and had a very well stocked kitchen. The kitchen is a great size for several people to cook in at the same time. The back yard and deck could not have been nicer. Photos and descriptions on the website are accurate. Jamie was so easy to schedule our stay and talk with regarding our dates. Barbara was so gracious and helpful when she met us at the house. We would rent this home again without hesitation. All 6 in our group were very pleased with the house, amenities, and location.

Dry Creek Fans!
The house was amazing and the pictures do not do it justice. The attention to detail and well stocked kitchen, made for a stress free vacation. Barbara does an excellent job ensuring you have a full knowledge of the home during your stay. We enjoyed being able to walk into town for dinner and also spent some evenings grilling on the beautiful back porch. We hope to return in the future.

Two Wine Loving Couples from Florida
We stayed here with our best "wine loving" friends and had one of the most memorable visits to wine country we have ever had. We have visited the area many times, but this home made this visit so extra special.. Barbara goes above and beyond to make sure your visit is everything you want it to be and more. The accomodations were perfect for us. We each has our own suite including high end bed linens, down pillows, plush bath towels and robes. The kitchen is a cooks dream and our husbands proved it. They cooked us gourmet meals five nights during our 10 day stay, while we poured the wine purchases. The outdoor dining table was so much fun during the cool evenings. The fresh herbs available in the garden were perfect for our "chef" husbands. The walk in to town was great for getting some exercise while picking up the newspaper. We can not say enough good things about this place. We did not want to leave. They have stocked the place with everything you will need and more to have a wonderful wine country vacation. Thank you Barbara, so much, for a wonderful visit. We WILL BE BACK!!

Paradise in Wine Country!
We are frequent VRBO renters and have experienced the good and the bad. This house is truly outstanding. The house is one mile from Healdsburg where we enjoyed great restaurants and tasting rooms. But we were also very happy just enjoying the newly remodeled and tastefully decorated house. A fully equipped and modern kitchen and great outdoor BBQ and eating space made eating in a great option. The spacious living space, both inside and outside (beautiful deck and gardens), comfortable bedrooms, beautiful bathrooms, all added up to a great experience. We would highly recommend, without reservation, this beautiful home.

This IS the Perfect 'Home Away' from Home.
One word: AMAZING! Upon our arrival, Barbara (the housekeeper) was ever-so pleasant. First, she extended to us a thorough tour of the house. We so surprised by not having to purchased anything, except food (of course). Everything else, though - bed and bath linens and dishes - were provided. Nice touches! Second, Barbara left us with a couple bottles of wine, fresh fruit, and beautiful flowers she picked from her garden. We knew from the first day that our week would be most enjoyable.
But... As the week progressed, we discovered that EVERYTHING was within a short distance of the house without having to be in the middle of it all: wineries (and lots of them, too!), grocers, restaurants and other neat little shops. The perfect location. And we received fresh muffins from the house manager that contained a little 'Welcome to Healdsburg' message. A really warm touch. I guess I should also recommend hiring a private chef while you are there (just for one day). For two reasons: 1) The kitchen screams "dinner party" and 2) It's a nice touch to having a relaxing and enjoyable evening with family and friends. And if you decide to hire one, please ask the house manager to recommend the one we had during our stay, You will not be disappointed.
Overall, I highly recommend this property to a small group of people, no more than 4-5 adults.

Wine Lovers Dream
This home exceeded our expectations. The pictures don't do it justice. Newly remodeled with all the top-notch goodies including heated floors in two of the bathrooms. Back yard and deck are spectacular. Three bedrooms and three full baths plus a half bath. Clean and well maintained. Very close to downtown Healdsburg. Tons of great wineries nearby. Would definitely rent again.

Fabulous House in Healdsburg!!!
My Mother and I stayed in this house in April. We loved it! We couldn't have wished for more. The open floor plan of the house is roomy and allows each guest privacy as needed. The large spacious kitchen is a "chef's dream"! Anything and everything you could possibly want to use to cook for an "evening in" is there. And I mean EVERYTHING!!
We were greeted by Barbara and given a full tour of the house. She is very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and really made us feel welcome. The house is only minutes from downtown Healdsburg's shops and restaurants and easy access to the freeway that took us on all of our wine tasting adventures. I would highly recommend this property as a great place to get away and enjoy the wine country. I hope to get back there again in the very near future!!!

Perfect Four Days
In a quiet part of lovely Healdsburg, this seemingly unassuming ranch-style residence is a hidden treasure. With a classy, completely remodeled interior and a beautiful garden, this 3 BR 3 bath home (perfect for 3 couples who all want their privacy) is tastefully decorated and wonderfully equipped with state-of-the-art kitchen appliances, a roomy living area, and a gorgeous rear deck and backyard. During our early June visit, we enjoyed indoor-outdoor living for all of our breakfasts and our at-home dinners, and our hosts thoughtfully provided picnic equipment for our lunch rambles through Alexander Valley, Dry Creek Valley, and the Russian River Valley. A fourth "bedroom/den" provides internet access, lots of vacation novels, jigsaw puzzles, etc. Our wonderful greeter/housekeeper Barbara made sure that everything was spotless - and I do mean spotless - for our arrival. She provided an introduction to the many features of this home and brochures for a host of area activities, and was available for any questions. Jamie delivered wonderful baked goods for our first breakfast and made sure that all was well. A leisurely 15-minute walk through charming and historic neighborhoods landed us in Healdsburg Square each morning, and the myriad wineries in the area are as close as ten minutes away by car. If you're looking for a bit of exercise, there are four bicycles in the garage, which otherwise operates as an extension of the amazingly well-equipped kitchen. We loved our stay and would return in a heartbeat. Book early, because this charming abode will fill up fast at its current rates.

Everything we expected, plus more....
With adult children on each coast, we decided on a Christmas vacation in Wine Country rather than our home in MN. Granted we gave up a white Christmas for what ended up being a rainy one, but luckily we found the perfect house in the perfect town. We had been to Sonoma and Napa several years ago, but this was our first trip to Healdsburg. What a fantastic town. Laid back and friendly, it was a great setting for us. And while we had high hopes for the rental property, we all agreed it had exceeded our expectations. This was our first home rental experience, and the bar has now been set. No question it will be tough to beat. The owners seemed to have considered every detail to make the house comfortable for our family of 5. Barbara, the housekeeper, is wonderful. Great communication prior and during our stay. And she even prepared the home with a Christmas tree and other decorations. It truly was the perfect house for our family. We are hoping to return in a warmer and drier season (as the outdoor space is incredible, and we also would have liked to use the bikes), but the truth is, the weather didn't matter much when we were all together as a family in such a great place. Thank you very much for a wonderful Christmas.

Perfection in Healdsburg
This was absolutely the best home that we have ever rented and I cannot say enough good things about our experience here. My husband and I were lucky enough to stay here for the whole month of August and everything was handled perfectly from the email communication answering all of our questions to being greeted upon arrival by the housekeeper, Barbara, who made sure we not only had everything we needed in the home, but knew our way around town and the surrounding areas including an update on the month’s activities.
No detail was overlooked when this 1950’s home was recently renovated inside and out with a comfortable, contemporary feel. The 3 bikes came in handy when we had our children come to visit and the place was large enough to accommodate 3 couples perfectly without getting in each others way. The kitchen is large enough for 2 or 3 gourmet cooks to each enjoy their own space while using the best equipment. We really enjoyed the large deck with gas grill and private back yard with the plum and lemon trees and the tomatoes, and herb garden. The best part after a fun day of biking or kayaking on the Russian River, shopping, or vineyard hopping was indulging in a glass of wine while soaking in the outdoor Jacuzzi tub overlooking Fitch Mountain.
Healdsburg is the best little town in America! The shopping, restaurants, wineries, the Farmers Market and the Tuesday evening summer concerts on the square were all within walking distance of this PERFECT retreat.

Absolute Paradise
Our family was fortunate enough to call this wonderful house "home" for a month this summer. After 5 long days of driving, we opened our stay with lemonade made fresh from the lemons off the backyard tree, and later enjoyed fresh tomatoes, squash and plumbs. We made the easy bike to the square almost daily, rode to several nearby wineries, and grilled on the back porch several times a week.
The house and yard are simply beautiful. Bright, modern, simple but elegant, and in a perfect location, my husband, I, and our 2 children felt perfectly at home. And we had more than enough room for friends with young baby to stay the weekend. Barbara, the caretaker, was wonderful, providing everything we could need and more. And the espresso machine... *sigh*
Our children attended and loved a summer camp at a nearby community center through Healdsburg Parks and Recreation, we used a local gym and the pool just around the corner, instantly loved Big John's Market, watched most of the World Cup at Healdsburg Bar an Grill (where you MUST have a burger, the garlic fries, and a Damnation Ale), and tasted more fantastic wine that I can possible recall.
Our two minor complaints: the skylights in the Master bedroom, while giving lovely light during the day, also gave lovely light starting at about 5:45am. Though keep in mind this was July. And the internet was fast, but often had trouble with the initial connection to a new site. For a shorter stay, I doubt we would have noticed, but as we were "working from home," it was occasionally difficult.
I cannot recommend this home highly enough. The town is lovely, Sonoma County is essentially heaven with really good wine and food, and nearby Santa Rosa has three Trader Joes! Every aspect of our stay was better than we'd hoped.

We found the PERFECT home through the VRBO website. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood, Villa Morfio was the oasis we were looking for!! 3 bedrooms plus a den and 3 and 1/2 baths were more than enough for 3 couples. The master suite was very romantic. The gourmet kitchen was a pleasure to prepare a meal in. The outdoor patio deck with large gas grill was a big PLUS in our book. Then we even used the outdoor soaking tub and shower for the total package of outdoor bathing! Restaurants in downtown Healdsburg cover every food liking. Cyrus and Dry Creek Kitchen are the 2 top and MUST be on the list. Prohibition wine bar was our afternoon favorite especially the manager, Harvest, a local woman with a wine to please anyone. The local grocery store only a few blocks away, Big John's was a pleasure to shop in. The meat counter had the freshest meats. The wineries were close and SO many to choose from. We even golfed at the local golf course. Overall a wonderful visit for the 6 of us. We would definately return to Healdsburg with the hope of renting this beautiful property again.
