Very modern design. Great outlook. Spacious lounge.

It’s good to have a cleaning mop available for kitchen. More kitchen towels for guests staying more than one night.

Great big open space. Lots of room to move. Great bedrooms and great facilities!

A bigger and more up to date TV would be nice. Some of the blinds need fixing or replacing as they can be finicky to lower and raise.

50th birthday getaway

Fabulous location, easy access, everything you need is at the house, it was clean and comfortable. Really quite and private.

Nil concerns related to the accommodation at all.

Good experience but kitchen is needed more dedicated works

View from the French windows are impressive, very chill place to stay

Kitchenware is not clean properly and oven is not working, we realize it after we prepared everything to put into oven

Tepako for two

Nice and sunny outlook and plenty of light. Good space inside. Car parking. Quick drive to town. Comfortable bed. Comfortable couches.

Glass tables and too many hard surfaces. Tv is almost unusable tucked away in a cupboard and too small. DVD player didn't work - broken cable. Outdoor furniture falling apart, no sun umbrella put out and no nice outdoor seating

Excellent views and great overall amenities. Very spacious. Hosts even assisted with posting my child's favourite books that was left behind.

Spacious. Beautiful views and good location.

Kitchen not stocked with basic salt and pepper. Water after a shower makes the bathroom really wet.

We had a great holiday and the house is very comfortable - but better as a summer destination.

Nice location - great view, very quiet (the town as a whole was very quiet due to the lack of tourists because of NZ's closed borders). Kitchen was well organised and had good quality crockery and reasonable selection of pots, pans and other cooking supplies. The weather was extremely cold when we were there so having the wood burner was fantastic (see notes below about other issues with heating though).

Given that the house looks reasonably modern and given its location (in a part of NZ that gets very cold in the winter), we were really surprised that there were no heat sources in any of the bedrooms or the bathrooms - not even small space heaters. We knew it would be cold (we booked the dates and location that we did because we wanted a mid winter holiday), so we deliberately chose a modern looking house, with the assumption that it would be better insulated and have decent heating - so it was a bit disappointing to find this wasn't the case. The wood burner, panel heaters and heat pump in the main living area were great and kept that area of the house toasty warm, but the bedroom and bathroom we used (just the master and ensuite as there were only two of us) would get very, very cold overnight and there was no way to warm them up except to wait for the house in general to warm up during the day. We were very lucky that we had fine weather so there was enough sun to heat the house during the day - otherwise, I think the bathroom in particular would have been very uncomfortable to use (the tile floor was absolutely frigid!). It just seemed so strange to us that there wasn't even a simple wall heater in the bathroom. And I can only imagine how cold the other bedrooms and bathroom would be given that they were on the shady side of the house!

Everything you need

Everything you need in one space , short drive to town approx 3 mins Plenty of room with 3 bedrooms & large dining / family area View is very good from the deck

All good , deck needs attention, as nails sticking out , just need nails banged in a bit We wore shoes outside on the deck
