Location, location, location!! 'Destin-ation' is across the street from the beach, located in popular Crystal Beach. After a day at the beach, relax in your private pool or lounge on the spacious sundeck.
This beach house can accommodate up to 8 people, which includes using the queen sleeper sofa. The house is fully furnished with a full size washer and dryer, 4 t.v.'s, 4 DVD players and all of the conveniences of home. This house has been a family favorite vacation rental for years. Destin-ation is located in The Courtyard at Crystal Beach community.
Destin Commons is a couple of blocks away, which offers fabulous shopping, AMC movie theater, Bass Pro Shop, and many restaurants to choose from. Publix and Walmart are nearby for groceries and beach items. Starbucks is walking distance from the house. Silver Sands Outlet Mall is only 10 minutes from the house.

Our second stay at 79 Matthew was another ideal vacation, with superb location and great amenities. There were some cleaning misses (we did NOT notice that last time) which we were able to overlook with fun pool time, time on the beach and walks to get ice cream. We enjoy this area of Destin and have had two great vacations in this house.

The house was well kept. It is walking distance to the beach. However the closest beach access only allows for about 25ft of public beach before you are trespassing on private property from the multiple private resorts. It made for very cramped beach days.

My family and I visited Destin for my birthday. It was perfect! Dottie is quick to respond to all communication and very much wanted to make sure our stay was great! The bedrooms were a good size and the beds were very comfortable. For us, Henderson State Park was our beach of choice with the umbrella/chair set up. There are plenty of beach toys at the house and we left new beach chairs so don’t go shopping before you check out the supplies! Dottie’s place is so close to everything you need to make your stay perfect!!! We will definitely be back!

this is in a neighborhood, beach access a block down was very limited, you had to get there early and set up, but people were nice. the condo had all this space and would not let you use anything even behind there chairs that were set up. House was nice but somewhat small for 7adults, one had to sleep on pull out couch, but the outside space was great and pool wonderful, spent a lot of time outside!

Great location just a block from the beach and close to all types of shopping and activities. Dottie was super helpful with questions. The pool was so nice, especially on the days it was windy at the beach in April. We enjoyed eating our meals out on the deck. We loved our stay!

First time to Destin but won’t be our last! This was such a great house to live in for a month - great location! Pool too cold to swim as it was Jan/Feb but loved sitting poolside and on the great upper deck soaking up the sun and sipping on a bevvie.
Host made super dining recommendations. Great places to visit nearby, lots of shopping and antiquing and fun things to do. We shopped till we dropped at the outlet mall.
Destin’s white sandy beach is one of the best we have ever seen and a very short walk from the rental house.
The house was very well equipped with everything you need and host was very easy to contact and extremely responsive.
Definitely would recommend this home to stay at if you want a wonderful vacation!

We had the most amazing time in Destin, Florida! Truly, an amazing destination. The beach is extraordinary beautiful, soft sand, crystal clear, blue water, and the most amazing sunrises and sunsets you’ve ever seen.
Dottie was so accommodating and helpful! The little house was just perfect for our family, 3 teenagers and one child.
The kitchen was fully stocked with all the items we needed!
The pool was so nice and the beach is a short walk from the front door.
We went in late October- November and the weather couldn’t have been better
We were so warm at the beach, but we didn’t even get sunburned.
The fish are friendly and the people are too!
We had delicious coffee and breakfast at Camille’s just down the street on our way to the beach!
I am already dreaming of going back!!

Loved the house, the pool, the location!! Only down side was the palm tree over the outside stairs. (It got my daughter- she's 43- right in the face! lol)

The house was in a perfect location, close to shopping and the beach. The layout of the house is not ideal for anyone with small children. There are a lot of steps! The beds are terribly uncomfortable. We arrived and I had poor cell service to where my code wasn’t loading. I called to ask for the code, had to leave a voicemail. While I found the code and let them know that on the voicemail, we found it odd that they didn’t just check in to make sure we were good. Overall a good experience, if the beds would have been even slightly comfortable, we would be booking another stay for sure!

Comfortable, clean, very cute home. Dottie was quick to respond to our needs, especially when we locked ourselves out 1 night. We enjoyed the pool daily. You can walk to beach but Hutchinson public beach has more room then Shirah & just a couple blocks more from Shirah. Home was fantastic & would rent again on our next visit to Destin!

Our family of 3 very much enjoyed our stay at this property. Dottie was very responsive and quick to reply to any questions we had. The property is in a great location to beach access. We walked to the beach each day. Dottie provided a duo Keurig after I inquired about the type of coffee maker provided. She also replaced the damaged lounger by the pool and had the new ones put together for us and ready to use. I would book this home again in the future!

We loved the location and the house is adorable. You will definitely need to bring your own garbage bags, toilet paper and paper towels. Otherwise when we locked ourselves out, the home owner was very helpful answering our call on the first try!

The house was cute and well equipped with everything you might need or want. The pool was so nice to have, a little cold but we were there in the off season. The house is located in a nice neighborhood, unfortunately the views are obstructing because of the condominiums surrounding the house.
A few points of concern: The hot water heater is set way too high. The water was scolding hot, this might not be a concern for anyone else but we have small kids who might have burned themselves.
The second concerning safety issue was that a small section of the upper part of the deck railing is not to code and the slats are too far apart. My toddler was able to stick her head and shoulders thru the slats.
Other than those things it was a great place to stay!

Excellent stay!! Excellent Area, restaurants close, activities close, shopping close, small walk to public beach. Excellent communication with Owners! We arrived a little early, and with communication with the Owners & cleaning personnel, we were able to get in a little early, which was awesome after traveling with a 2 & 4yr. old. One bit of advice, the public beach area is a little small, (due to the private resort areas on each side) But overall, AWESOME!! Thanks so much!!

Great house in Destin!
We had a great time! The house was just as advertised. It was clean and comfortable. There were 4 adults and 4 kids and we had room for everyone to sleep with the pull out sofa bed. We were very close to public beach access which was nice for walking along the beach in the mornings and evenings. There is only a tiny strip of public beach space at Shirah Street and the rest is roped off for the resorts so there really wasn't space to set up for our party of 8 for the day. We just went up the road to Henderson Beach, which was a very nice place to spend the day.
We were close to everything we needed, shopping and restaurants but we only went out to eat once because we were able to grill and cook at the house! The grill needs a deep clean so it doesn't flare up, for safety. ;)
The kids LOVED the pool at night after long days at the beach and we enjoyed our meals out on the patio.
The queen bedrooms were very warm the first night so we did go buy a few fans and it was fine the rest of the week.
There were beach toys, a sun shade, and a wagon to use for the beach, which was nice.
We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend staying here.

Good stay and perfect location! A short walk to the beach and a short walk to Alvin’s and Ice Cream!
Unfortunately the bottom floor where the two main bedrooms are located were extremely hot at night. . Fans were provided but they didn’t work very well. Ceiling fans are much needed to help circulate air for both bedrooms. The property was well maintained, clean and full of the necessities needed for our stay.

Loved this house and the location!! Plenty of room for our family of four!! Nice big decks plenty of room to enjoy your morning coffee! Pool was nice and clean just wish the weather was a little bit warmer as the pool was chilly but we still enjoyed it!! Will hopefully be able to stay again soon!! Great Vacation
We had a wonderful time staying at this home. Could have been warmer and sunnier, but you can’t play for that!! Loved the home, the kitchen was stocked with any pot, pan or utensil needed. Wonderful that there were things (chairs, etc) to take to the beach so we didn’t have to bother with that.
