Our stay and accommodations for the nine of us was absolutely perfect.
Marney was very quick in responding to emails and Jason could not have been more accommodating on site.
Both suites had everything we needed from several basic cooking supplies to wagons for hauling beach equipment to the short walk to the bay. Also within short walking distance is downtown Hanalei.
Property is well maintained and beautiful!
I highly recommend this property and would stay again in a heart beat.

Excellent beach items for kids. We were surprised to find out house was separated by 2 entrances. We made it work. Grounds lovely and house was clean. Owner very attentive.

Great location to the beach, great beach accessories for the beach, close to town but quiet neighborhood, all amenities were as advertised!

This property was exactly what we needed and it was perfect. We were two families of four with kids aged 5 to 20 months. We were walking distance to the village center, the farmers market and Hanalei bay was pretty much right across the street. About a 3 min walk. All the kids walked easily to the village center for shopping and dinner. We spent many afternoons in the beach and just enjoying paradise. The home was perfect for us to come together and enjoy relaxing meals together. The kitchen was well stocked and really the house was in general perfectly well stocked. All the beach things you could need; umbrellas, chairs, boogie boards, beach toys. The house had board games, books ect. They had a pack and play for my 20 month old and a high chair. This is the only house we will rent. It’s just perfect.

Our family rented the entire property for a week in September and enjoyed it although it was very hot at that time of year.
Pros:
* excellent location walking distance to the beach and town.
* A quiet neighbourhood with plenty of water toys/chairs etc.
* well maintained house and well furnished
Cons:
* older house that has not been updated.
* Has a permanent renter on property (downstairs).
* no air conditioning so can be very hot in summer months
Thanks for the stay, we had a good time

Three generations (ages 3-78) of our family enjoyed our week here immensely! Location was more than perfect and house (both units) were comfortable and well-appointed. Thank you, Marney and Jason!

We rented both the upper and lower suites for our group of 8 and we all loved it. The home was very comfy and well equipped, and we especially loved being 2 blocks from the beach on Hanalei bay. Owner was great to deal with, everything went exactly according to plan. What a great trip, we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. A definite repeater.

I rented the property for my family group of 11people. My high expectations for our stay were met and exceeded. The photos in the listing are wonderful but they do not do justice to this beautiful and comfortable home. The location was ideal for beach visits and town activities. There were loads of beach items conveniently located and both apartments were well stocked with kitchen items, linens and towels. The grounds were gorgeous -positive proof that we truly were in Paradise. Communication with Marnie was easy and thoughtful. She texted me on our arrival day to alert us to a traffic issue. Luckily we were not affected by it. I cannot give a more wonderful recommendation to the Hanalei Palms. Consider yourself very lucky if you arrange a visit to this charming property.

A lovely house in a quiet neighborhood. Can walk to beach and to Hanalei for restaurants, grocery and ice cream. We enjoyed staying here and really appreciated having family in both the upstairs and downstairs unit at the same time.

We were delighted to stay in both units in this beautiful home. It’s about 100 yard walk to the beach. The house is at the end of a short lane which is at the end of a cul de sac. Like set in a beautiful lush jungle. The place was immaculate when we arrived. It was completely well equipped for our family of 8. The caretakers Jason and More were unobtrusive in their unit but always available for any questions. We’ll equipped kitchen. Well equipped beach gear. Well equipped games and video. All channel tv to watch NBA playoffs. Super fast wifi. If you want to be near the warm gentle waters of Hanalei Bay and stay in a five star large home, grab this place before someone else does.

We loved everything about the house...a perfect location for walking to the beach and to town, everything supplied so thoughtfully in the house, very clean and super well-equipped. Seven of us stayed for eleven glorious days and nights and hope to return. We all highly recommend Marney and her house!!!

The comment from our adult kids was simple: "when can we go back?" The house is better than I expected and I expected a lot. The neighborhood is wonderful and beautiful. Two blocks to Hanalei Bay and five blocks from downtown Hanalei. We walked everywhere, even during the rain. The beds were all comfortable, the furniture as nice as my own home. An avocado tree is in the back yard as well as limes. We will stay here again, hopefully next winter. Loved it very much.

Just stayed for a week over Christmas with my family of four, my brother's family of three, and my parents. The house was absolutely wonderful. The set up was perfect for us: 3 bedrooms in the main upstairs section with large open kitchen/dining room/living room. Then my brother and his wife and daughter stayed in the two bedroom apartment downstairs (with it's own kitchen/living area). And my parents stayed in the one bedroom apartment. Everyone had their own space but could come together upstairs--either inside or on the lanai. And as is described on the website, the house feels truly private because of all the lush vegetation around it. The kitchen is great and has everything we needed--and we did a fair amount of cooking there. The house really has everything, included two washer/dryers. There are boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrellas and wagons to cart everything to the beach, which is a very short walk down a quiet street. And it is a lovely, quiet neighborhood (other than the roosters--welcome to Kauai :) )Hanalei is a lovely town with a great beach. Surf not too heavy for little kids, but people are also out taking surfing lessons. The little downtown area is also walking distance through the neighborhood (a little too far for my 82 year mother to walk, but easy for the rest of us). We'd walk to get coffee and pastries in the morning. What else to say about the house? It does rain at times on Kauai and the house was a wonderful place to hang out and play games on the lanai with some tropical rain coming down. Plenty of room for us all to hang out in the evening and talk or watch a movie. Wifi works great. We didn't have any problems with the house other than a moment when I couldn't figure out how to put the keys back in the lock box, so I called Ken, the maintenance guy, who answered immediately and helped me out. Marney was lovely in our email exchanges. The check-in and out was easy as could be.The whole experience was really great.

Great beach house in easy spot by the beach and close to town. Marney and Beaux scrambled and worked so hard to help us in a housing emergency. This house can be divided into two units, so contact the owner first because VRBO/Home Away can't accurately tell if the whole house is available or just half.

The house is beautiful, and well furnished. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds are comfortable, there are amble towels, comfortable furniture. Everything worked flawlessly. The house is well stocked with toys for kids, toys for adults (boogie boards, puzzles, etc). There are ample fans throughout the house. Walking, it is only 2 short blocks from the beach, and 3 or so blocks from Hanalei village. Very relaxing!

We spent a glorious week here in February. This is the perfect house for family vacation.
We had 13 people...including 3 grandchildren under the age of 8. We rented the upstairs and downstairs. I can say enough good things. The house is beautiful. It is on a quiet street .
It is a short walk to the beach AND a short walk to town. Perfect for everyone to do their own thing if not enough cars to go around. The house was well stocked with beach supplies etc..
Marney is wonderful...so helpful. If you want to be in Hanalei (and who wouldn't),this is the place to be.
I can't say enough good things about this property. Signed, So Grateful

Two weeks was not enough in this lovely place, oh, and the house was great, too! For a large family, ages 10 to 70, there was something for everyone. The house, island magic on stilts sits surrounded by a tropical paradise and beside a gurgling river. A wrap-around porch afforded all-day lounging and reading and for more active types, the proximity to beaches, shopping and hiking venues was perfect. Our family of cooks made use of all the carefully stocked cuboards and top quality appliances. No small thing were the great beds that made even sleep time enjoyable. Thank you for a wonderful first-time-in-Hawaii experience.
Signed, Spoiled Forever

We spent seven nights at the house and had a simply amazing time. The house is lovely and spacious. We had all three suites for our group of 12 (which included three children) and felt that we had plenty of room the entire time. The ambience is relaxing and the house is well cared for and well stocked with everything you need for your vacation. And you can't beat the location - just a block and a half to the beach and a few extra blocks to the shops and restaurants Hanalei. We loved every second of our time there and can't wait to go back.

Wow! Great two weeks with our entire extended family of nine. Perfect house. Perfect location. Walk to everything you need and only a short drive to the most exotic locations in the world. Extremely comfortable accommodations. Very clean. Everything we could have possibly needed for cooking and recreation. Our favorite aspect...this is traditional Hawaii, not resort Florida with mountains and bigger waves. Easily the most laid back and friendly vacation spot ever. Our kids and grandkids want me to reserve it for the same time next year ASAP.

My family spent five delightful days at this property, renting both Plumeria and Hibiscus. We had such a wonderful time there and could see the house has had a lot of love and good times over the years. It has a really nice vibe! So glad to be able to experience that too. The house came equipped with everything you could imagine....we had all that we needed and then some. The owner and local contact people were very responsive...no complaints. The location was also ideal, just a short walk to the beach and pier. We appreciated being on a quiet residential street in the middle of a tropical jungle! Also we had mostly good weather and were able to do many fun things with our family.

My family just returned from a weeks vacation at this beautiful home. We had a large group (10) of extended family consisting of 3 adult children with spouses/girlfriends and boyfriends and two grandchildren ages 1 and 3. This home couldn't have fit our needs better. The home was very clean and comfortable for a family. It had everything we needed for the beach, including chairs, boogie boards, beach toys and umbrellas! The home was light and airy upstairs with plenty of room to be together in a large open space. Our family enjoyed having both the upstairs and the downstairs plumeria apt. We spent most of our time together upstairs but it was nice for couples to have there own area for some away time. We had several dinners on the lanai and just enjoyed hanging out on the porch watching the wide variety of birds and the beautiful jungle landscape. It felt private and very tropical! The kitchen had everything we needed for food preparation with lots of counter space. We appreciated the highchair, pack and play, games and books when we were not at the beach. The beach truly is a minute stroll away and is breathtaking! The town of Hanalei is just a few blocks away and was a fun afternoon jaunt for shave ice or dinner. This house really fit the needs of everyone in our family! We all were sad to leave and look forward to another Hanalei adventure in the future. Thank you for the use of your home!

What a fabulous place with VERY close proximity to beautiful Hanalei Bay and Hanalei town. This was a long-planned family vacation and we rented the entire property - upstairs main house, downstairs 2-bdrm suite, and downstairs studio. It was perfect for our family of 14 (10 adults, 4 children) ranging in age from 4 months to 67 years. My entire family agreed that the location and amenities of this home couldn't be better. This was my first time renting a vacation home, and as other reviews have said, Marney was extremely responsive to all my inquiries. I would definitely recommend this property!!

“Beautiful home in a perfect location!”
I am delighted to say that I wholeheartedly agree with all of the glowing reviews of this property. My husband and I brought our 4 adult children and spouses, along with our 13year old, 4year old, and 10 month old grandsons. There are hardly words to express how perfect the home was for our family. We rented the entire house, so there was plenty of privacy when desired, but the common areas more than comfortably accommodated our entire group. The owner has thoughtfully stocked the house with literally everything a family needs to live for a week. From high chair, to beach equipment to every conceivable kitchen appliance or tool, we wanted for nothing! The home is light and airy with a sense of total privacy and lush views from every window. The location could not be more ideal. It really is only a 2 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute walk to town. It offered us so many spontaneous moments to just drop everything and dash down to the beach for a sunrise or a sunset or a great rainbow. Hanalei is a magical place, and this home allows you to take full advantage of its beauty. We planned for our trip over several months, and Marney was at every turn, helpful and responsive to our questions and requests. Our family has rented several vacation homes, and this one, by far, is the best! We have beautiful memories to last a lifetime of this home in Hanal
