Choose Ponderosa Paradise for your next friend or family getaway vacation. This cozy two bedroom, two bath home comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests between the bedrooms and sleeper sofas in the master bedroom and living area. The master bedroom boasts a large king size bed, smart TV, full bath with walk- in shower, and a stunning Guadalupe River view. The second bedroom hosts a queen bed and shares the full bath just off the hallway.

Step into the living area and you'll find comfortable furnishings, smart TV, and a fully- equipped kitchen with all essential cookware and dinnerware needed for your stay. But don't forget why you're here! A quick walk out the back door reveals ample deck space and seating, perfect for enjoying the sights and sounds of the Guadalupe River below, and all while under the shade of ancient cypress and pecan trees. Continue down to the waterfront and catch a glimpse of a tuber, kayaker, or fly fisherman, and prepare to join in the fun.

Whitewater Amphitheater, Texas' best live outdoor music venue, as well as the conveniences of a local grocery store and other shops in the nearby village of Sattler are all within a 10 minute drive of your holiday home. Neighborhood and convenience to tube and float rental is amazing! Water is pretty deep at the property and you’ll need floats to hang out in the water there. Overall it was a nice stay. Quick trip to Gruene was a lot of fun.

Great location for tubing, fishing, day trips to Wimberley & Gruene. Updated older home. Very clean & comfortable. Had everything we needed. Loved the outdoor areas on the riverfront! So gorgeous & serene

The home was very clean and comfortable. Location was perfect for floating the river or a quick trip into town. The view of river from the house was wonderful. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Great location, clean and comfortable house. Would definitely stay there again. Items needing attention… Back sliding door very hard to open and shut. Grill would only heat on low temperature.

The location is wonderful! I will say, if you're looking for silence, visit during the week rather than the weekend. Not that it was noisy on the weekend, but people tend to come to float down the the river, play music, and BBQ, so it's not gonna be radio silent. Also, pack bug spray!

This place had it all for a quiet weekend with friends who were looking to catch up, tell jokes, swim in the river a bit, a do some cooking! The kitchen and living room are open concept and perfect for mingling and even with 6 people it didnt feel crowded at all! Planning on coming back with my wife and other friends in the future.

Fun little Spring Break get away for my family. We enjoyed Gruene Hall and the beautiful Guadalupe River. The house was everything advertised. The decks were super fun to sit out on and enjoy the scenery.

We just stay at the Ponderosa Paradise this weekend and it was a great place to vacation. The house was really clean and big. We had 8 adults in the house and there was plenty of room to sleep. The AC worked great and house was very cool. We were only 20 minutes to Gruene Texas. Make sure you go have breakfast at Granny D's cafe it's only 10 minutes from the house. We will come back. One thing for people with young kids to make sure you're with them because backyard is really steep down to river!!

Our group of 4 Adults. Property was perfect for the 4 of us. Both bedrooms were very comfortable. Showers got as hot as you wanted, and had enough elbow room. Kitchen was large, and well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, utensils etc. Coffee maker is a pot drip style coffee maker, and 3 packs of coffee were left for us to make which was nice. It was really hot while we were here. Over 105 degrees, and A/C kept the home as cool as we wanted it. The big back porch was great for hanging out chatting over drinks. The River was really nice right off the back yard, and we even floated down the river from the back yard 1 day. House is close to grocery store, and most things you would need within 5 minutes or so. Overall a great home for 4 people to visit for a week.

I'd definitely give this stay a 10/10! I come up every July whether I pull my camper up or get a home, and typically try a new place every time but I do believe I'll be booking Ponderosa Paradise again! Easy check in and check out process. Accommodations clean and nice. Location on the river was great!!! Access from the lower porch area to the river not the best, a bit challenging for the older ones BUT the river was low and I'm sure accessibility would have been better with normal water levels. I will most definitely be coming back!! Thank you for a wonderful family getaway

We had so much fun! We stayed here for a long weekend with our 2 young kids. We hung out in tubes on the water tied up to the bank. We played card games on the back porch deck overlooking the river. The only negative feedback is how loud River Road is which is no fault of property owners but it was disappointing since everything else was so peaceful.

This was exactly what my wife and I needed. I honestly don't remember the last time either of us had been this relaxed. The location is not far from Gruene, which we went to a couple of times during the full week we stayed. There is a grocery store about 6-8 mins up the road that we visited often to replenish our food and drink supply. The rest of the time we hung out on the amazing back deck or went down to get into the river. I fished a few days, didn't catch anything but it was a great view. We would stay here again, for sure.

Three adults over 60 enjoyed the peacefulness of a quiet neighborhood in the off-season. We saw no neighbors. The grounds were shady and decks were nice. The only wish we had was for the absence of traffic noise on River Road. Sound really travels in the river valley. This is a really nice home.

We enjoyed our stay! House was as described and we used all the patios. Reading on site guest book is funny. Nice and quiet in late September. We were glad town was only 5 mins away for bf tacos, ice, good coffee and some groceries we forgot. We also went tubing with Little Ponderosa co just down the road. Pro tip to future travelers: bring water shoes, bug spray and floats to use in the river. I'd suggest house get tea kettle and full set of measuring cups/spoons, but that's tiny. Thank you! Would rent again!

We had a great time. The house has been beautifully updated on the inside. The house is right on the water. We went in the off season, so it was quit and peaceful during the week. The k my time we saw anyone was during the weekend, we all had a blast. I recommend this location.

This is a very nice house with awesome Decks and a great view. Only thing we were not crazy about is the backyard is so steep that you have to have a rope to try to get backup the hill. A little tough if you've had a few drinks while floating.
