The cottage was very clean and comfortable. It was as good as the listing reads, if not better! It was a chilly day, so we turned on the space heater right away and were warm in no time.
Fair Haven should come with a warning, though - once here, we never want to leave!
Thank you, Lynn, for sharing this beautiful spot with us.

Will definitely be back!
We had a wonderful stay at the yellow cottage. We were looking for a place for our family to disconnect from electronics and the usual running around back home and reconnect as a family. This was the perfect place. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed to grill out or to cook indoors. The views from the backyard were amazing. We caught some of the best sunsets and enjoyed just chilling by the lake and reading a book or watching the boats go by. The owners were very responsive before arrival and during our stay. We hope to be back soon.

Memories
My husband and 2 grand children ages 8 and 6 had a great time at the yellow cottage....easy check in and the cottage was spotless. The kids had so much fun jumping off the dock and playing some wiffle ball and other games in the large yard. I loved the swing where I enjoyed my morning coffee. We took bike rides to Fair Haven State Park and the kids loved the beach and the hiking trails and playgrounds. Village of Fair Haven is close enough to bike ride but we drove into town becasue we always needed to pick up something....I would highly recommend the yellow cottage. Lynn and Kevin are a lovely couple and we all had such a wonderful time.

Beautiful cottage with gorgeous view of the lake. The cottage was very clean and everything we needed for our family vacation. Walking distance of the park and beach! Lynn and her husband are very accommodating and were lovely to chat with. We will rent again!

Great vacation spot and host
We had a lovely week at this sweet cottage. Lynn puts a lot of thought into making the cottage feel comfortable for her guests: sending reminders for the stay, marking how to use items in the house, and a well equipped kitchen and cottage. The place itself is adorable, with a larger living room area and a sunroom that was my favorite room, day or night. Lynn and her husband live behind the cottage and her sister lives beside it. Both are very friendly and kind, yet give you privacy as well. If you need anything, they are happy to help. The house does not have air conditioning, but it gets cool with a all-house fan that circulates the cool air from outside quickly throughout the space. I rented kayaks to top off the week--those are not provided there. The view of the water and the sunsets across the bay made this place especially wonderful.

Wonderful Vacation Property
I can’t say enough about this amazing property. Lynn was absolutely amazing from the moment we booked to the moment we left. The yellow cottage is just e enough to the park that we could walk or ride bikes. But we didn’t need to go anywhere. The Yellow Cottage was equipped with everything we needed. The dock was fun to launch our SUPs or fish off of. We can’t wait to visit again.

Comfortable, family friendly home in great location!
We had a wonderful stay at the yellow cottage. Check in was easy and Lynn was there to greet us and give us helpful information about our stay and the neat location we were in. Everything was clean and comfortable, the kitchen had anything you could need, the big windows were lovely, and it was very family friendly for our two year old. The fire pit and grill were great to have, and the views of the bay were beautiful. The location is excellent for exploring all the area had to offer. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it!

PERFECT LITTLE COTTAGE ON THE LAKE
We really enjoyed our week at the yellow cottage. We stayed in August so it was a little warm at night, other than mother nature not cooperating, the cottage had everything we needed. Lynn was a great host, her house is right behind the cottage so when I called and asked if the cottage had an iron, she said, no and she happily loaned me her personal iron and ironing board.

Perfect!
We have rented quite a few small cottages in different locations over the years. The yellow cottage is among the very best we've stayed in! Very clean, well-equipped, uncluttered, quiet, in a beautiful and convenient location. Owners were friendly and helpful but not at all intrusive. Perfect!

Perfect!
Came for a family wedding weekend and only regret was that we didn't have more time at the cottage. Super clean, spacious with beautiful grounds extending all the way down to the water. Bright and airy as well. Owners nearby and super friendly and helpful, yet not intrusive at all. Proactively offered extras that made our stay even better. Hope to be able to return soon!

lovely cottage
My wife and I rented the little yellow cottage for four days. We planned on staying at the cottage and going to our daughters college graduation. She graduated from SUNNY Oswego. Unfortunately my wife lost her battle with cancer in February. I did however stay at the little yellow cottage and I attended my daughters graduation. The cottage is lovely. I thought about my wife and how she would have loved to stay there. I can picture my wife getting up early, making a pot of coffee and enjoying her coffee in the sun room, looking out onto the lake. I would recommend the little yellow cottage. John Ward

Excellent location with beautiful views.
The Yellow Cottage was the perfect place for my husband and I to stay while visiting friends in Fair Haven. Although we did not cook, the kitchen was well stocked. The screened porch was a wonderful spot to relax and look out across the lawn to Little Sodus Bay. Lynn made the process of renting super easy and she and Kevin could not have been nicer. Look forward to going back again!

Beautiful house on the lake
We enjoyed our stay at the Yellow Cottage. A beautiful lakefront view with great accommodations. I wish I had found it sooner! Beautiful countryside and a quick drive to Oswego. I definitely recommend.

My wife and I had a great first week of Aug. at the YELLOW COTTAGE. Lynn and Kevin are so easy to work with and they keep the cottage and grounds in beautiful condition. Kitchen is well stocked with tools for cooking, beds are comfy, bathrooms are modern, good wifi, and screened porch tops it off. Dock is good for swimming and fishing. The only thing I would add if it was mine is an air conditioner in the living room.

My family and I spent a lovely week in the Yellow Cottage during July. The location is great - waterfront and walking distance to the State Park. The cottage has a lovely side porch where we had breakfast, lunch and dinner it was so pleasant. I'm planning on returning next summer. Thanks Lynn!

We stayed in the Yellow Cottage for 2 weeks. The cottage was very clean, well kept and the neighbors are very friendly. We had a great time swimming, fishing, boating in Little Sodus Bay, hiking and just relaxing. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet. The center of town is within a 5 to 10 minute drive. We loved dining at the Pleasant Beach Hotel, the General Store and O'Conners. The Yellow Cottage is a short walk away from the Fair Haven State Park, which has a beach for swimming and hiking. I played golf at several nearby golf courses (Spring Brook, Griffin's Greens, Battle Island and Port Bay golf course). We are really forward to coming back, which will be our 4th year at the Yellow Cottage. We highly recommend this rental to others.

My brother, Dad, and I had a great weekend at the Yellow Cottage during a fall fishing trip. The view of the Little Sodus Bay was fantastic, especially in early morning. The heater in the living room, though it looked small at first, provided plenty of heat and the kitchen had everything that we needed. Overall a great place, definitely worth a return visit. Thanks Lynn!

There were 4 of us, plus one friend who was able to come for dinner, and we had a marvelous time, despite cold weather! The space heater very adequately warmed the cottage, which was very clean and well furnished for our use. We cooked most meals and found most everything we needed. The town is fun- be sure to visit Larry and Susan at the Hardware Cafe! It was a very short walk from the Yellow Cottage to the state park (10 min), and we spent a couple shivery hours there. The cottage has a lovely lawn right on Little Sodus Bay;- must be delightful on hot summer days.

Three 40 year friends + a road trip across NY + the Yellow Cottage at the fall equinox = One great idea! Only the chipmunks and squirrels, busily gathering acorns fallen from the oak near the screened porch, hinted that autumn had somehow found us, basking under the forever blue skies in the summery sun, wading in the lake...We appreciated every convenience in this idyllic setting, a comfortable blend of practical and accessible layout, space for privacy and anything you could need to relax indoors or out. Thanks for providing all the little touches, the flowers and pristine yard, the immaculate baths and kitchen, the gathering spaces and cheery decor - a place 'out of time' to laugh, to just be, to renew long friendships and make fond new memories!

Fair Haven, NY is a wonderful destination for a vacation/getaway and "yellow cottage" is the perfect place to stay! I enjoyed vacationing at the cottage with friends and family and everyone had the same thing to say, "This place is great!" The cottage is equipped with everything you need and the setting is truly fabulous! It was fun to watch the activity on the bay and the sunsets can't be beat! There is ample outdoor space and the screened in porch allows you to feel like you are outdoors even if the weather isn't cooperating. The extra 1/2 bath is a bonus! Hiking and the beach are just a short walk away at Fair Haven State Park and the village has some cute shops and restaurants. The owners tend to "yellow cottage" with TLC and were so kind and helpful. Thank you, Lynn and Kevin, for sharing your little slice of heaven. I highly recommend "yellow cottage" for your next getaway!

I'd seen this cottage listed in past years, and finally decided to to give it a try. I couldn't have been happier. An awesome view of the bay whether you're sitting in the livingroom or out on the lawn. The screen porch was perfect - we were grateful for it when the rain moved in and we didn't have to be shut indoors.
Nicely renovated, bright and cheerful. You walk out into the livingroom in the morning, and are greeted with a wonderful view. The first few nights there were 4-6 of us, and we had plenty of room. Later in the week, less people, more quiet time, and I was happy to spend my days out on the lawn watching the boats and the fisherman pass by.
A quick walk down the road and your at Fairhaven Beach enjoying Lake Ontario. I've stayed at a few camps along the bay in the past, but this one is right up there at the top of my list.
The owners were great to deal with - pleasant & helpful - I can't wait to find some time to stay again.

I was fortunate to stay at the "Yellow Cottage" in Fair Haven, NY, recently with my parents through the Labor Day weekend.
The cottage was very well kept, supplied and accommodating for me and my parents, who are both in their 70's. The view from the cottage and the waterfront itself, was breathtaking and enjoyable every night as we ate dinner from the patio and watched the beautiful sunsets. Truly perfect:)
We also had room when my sister and 2 great nieces spent an evening with us and enjoyed swimming and fishing whenever we felt like going down to the water.
Thank you Lynn, for your assistance and correspondence while there and in getting us there. I hope we can come back your way again soon and appreciate all your kindness & hospitality extended.
Til the next time:)!!
